I really enjoyed the sopes and gorditas the most as the masa was very authentic.
The tacos were okay only because the tortillas were not prepared as a typical taqueria
The nachos had a little bit of ingredients, wish it came with rice and beans in the mix.
But definitely the sopes and gorditas were great! The meat was tasty! Would come back😄

Stopped in this place passing through Reno. Such a good find! The menu is 100% plant based with lots of options. I had the Mexica Bowl with Hibiscus Flower, and my spouse had the Tostada Bowl with Cactus. Both meals were extremely tasty, very fresh, and just the right amount of food for a quick lunch. The owner was very friendly and took great care of us. Highly recommend this place.

Unfortunately they were out of hibiscus and tamales so we ended up going with the pastor chimichanga and the nopalli sopas. The sopas were superb and the chimichanga was good but a little boring and refried bean heavy. The woman (owner?) working was ultra nice as well.

Read moreAfter a long day of travel this place was a vegan respite to refuel. I ordered a soy asada chimichunga and a coconut milk horchata. The food was very satisfying and the portions were hearty enough for leftovers the next day. Service was also excellent! Will definitely dine here when I next visit the area!

Ordered the chimichanga with pastor because of all of the reviews and it was really good. Also got the nachos with pastor and they were excellent! The horchata wasn’t as creamy as I was hoping but it was nice that it wasn’t overly sweet. The staff were incredibly friendly and helped me decide was to order. The place was pretty empty on a Friday night, so I hope they make it because the food was so good!

Had the nachos with nohpalli and asada, the burrito with mushroom walnut, and fish tacos special. It was all really good- our favorite was the fish tacos! Fast and friendly service, really nice atmosphere with plants too. Will be back!

So glad we stopped in today and that we have a vegan spot to come to in town! My wife and I shared the burrito (mushroom/walnut meat), nachos (asada and nohpalli) and fish tacos. Everything was so good, but those fish tacos were, chef’s kiss.

The food was absolutely amazing! I got the chimichanga with cactus. It was HUGE! Had a bit of heat to it but was not overwhelming at all. Horchata was great, not too sweet. Loved the different types of protein that you could choose from.

Everything we've tried on the menu is great. Seems like you can't go wrong with this place. Highly recommend. Friendly staff and quick service. We love stopping by here on our way back from skiing or whenever we are in this part of town.

Great, friendly service. A large varied selection of entrées, sandwiches, burgers, and others. I tried the chicken sandwich with fries. Both were very good. The price being $20 is pretty expensive, which is my main reason for not giving 5 stars. I like plant based options at restaurants and fully plant based is ideal (you don't have to omit this and that and pay full price), but restaurant prices are way too high for my liking.

We had the pastor and asada burritos and the special “fish” tacos. They were all fantastic! I’m so relieved to have found such a great vegan restaurant in Reno. The women who served and cooked was also very sweet and helpful. It made the whole experience even better. We are visiting for a conference and will definitely be eating here as many times as we can sneak away!

Read moreThe food lacked flavor, spice, any kind of wow-factor. My husband’s spicy chicken sandwich wasn’t spicy at all. Fries weren’t crispy or even hot.
My tacos looked pretty but the walnut-meat tasted like all mushroom and oil, no crunch, no “omg” moment. You couldn’t mix and match “meats.” Two meals and chips and salsa cost us $57 before tip!!
The kicker, no chips and salsa at the table, we had to order it extra. The salsa was in a itty-bitty saucer.
I will say the guacamole was really good.
Would really love to see this restaurant take it up a notch or two. Add some heat to their dishes. We need vegan restaurants and this one has so much potential!!

When we saw this was the only all vegan restaurant in reno we knew we wanted to make it a priority. Lots of great options and kind staff. Definitely going to go back while we're here. We loved the torta and Nachos. Homemade chips that don't break or get soggy!

Stopped at House of Mexica while passing through as it was the only all-vegan option open. To start, we tried ordering a couple of dishes only to be told the chef didn’t want to make certain ingredients (bacon & chicken) that day, so the options we had chosen were unavailable. The items we did order were rather lacking in flavor, and the portion sizes (as others have noted) were very minimal compared to the cost of the meal. The salsa is great, very spicy!

Terrible service, terrible prices - Edit
The customer service is one of the worst I’ve experienced. I left without ordering anything because I didn’t want to pay those crazy prices for such horrible service. The lady didn’t have friendly attitude at all since the beginning. We sat outside because of dogs, but didn’t get any water. She didn’t even serve us, had to go inside to get menus and to ask questions we had about it. The only thing I liked about this place was the interior because they had lots of live plants.
