Incredible - Edit
I ordered a breakfast sandwich with just egg which basically was a burger and I loved it!!! It was too much but I kept eating because it was so good. My waitress was lovely she convinced me to order an Oreo cake which honestly was really bad😄but maybe I'm just not used to American cakes, it was very sour (like cream cheese).

Best Vegan Food in Boston - Edit
Okay, I absolutely love love love Veggie Galaxy. They have hands down the best vegan food in the area, it's truly amazing. I believe everything (if not almost everything) can be made vegan! It's been a while since I've been here for dining in but the take out program is really well put together and the food almost just as good as if you were sitting down at the restaurant to eat. The online menu very clearly labels vegan by default vs vegan options. I love the mozzarella sticks and the chickn strips. The mac n stack is my go to meal, especially when I kinda want pancakes or waffles but I also don't want breakfast. The mac n cheeses are all delicious and breakfast all day is wonderful. The shakes are amazing and the all vegan bakery is heavenly!!! The pastries are soooo good. Veggie Galaxy will forever be one of my favorite spots in the Boston area and it has been so fun watching them expand and grow over the years. Your non-vegan friends will love it too, it's all so delicious.

Delicious Comfort food - but not very healthy vegetarian - Edit
If you're looking for a fun vegetarian restaurant but not a healthy one, this one is for you! There is serve a lot of comfort foods here. Here's what we had:
Read more1. Boozy Frappe - Any Port in the Storm - which contained Ruby Port, Chocolate & Strawberry Ice Cream - yummy and fattening - but couldn't taste the booze much.
2. Buffalo Chick'n Mac & Cheese - macaroni with 3-Cheese Sauce, topped with Buffalo Seitan Chick'n - it was a little bit on the bland side - the buffalo chik'n was nice.
3. Poutine - Thin Cut Fries with Wisconsin Cheese Curds and Gravy - it was okay - I've had better poutine.
4. Chick'n & Waffles - House-made Seitan Chick'n on a Waffle, served with Maple Syrup and Southern Gravy. This wasn't too shabby.
The vibe was happening. It was a bit of wait to get a table. The service was not very friendly - polite and curt.
I would eat here only when I am craving fatty comfort veggie food.

Best brunch+ dinner spot - Edit
Veggie Galaxy is my go to place when branching with my non-veg friends. They offer dairy like cheese, eggs and milk. (Vegetarian/Vegan restaurant) Breakfast and dinner are served all day. Amazing mimosas!! Everything can be made vegan. Mac and cheez bites are the best!!! My non-veg friends always fall in love with them hehe. I have been coming her for about 3 years and the food and service is always excellent.

Fatty for the sake of it - Edit
I will preface this by saying that I am not a junk food lover. Still, a friend invited me to veggie galaxy for her birthday, so off we went.
Read moreIt is hard to find something even remotely health on the menu. I ended up settling for the portobello sandwich on rye bread. It sounded nice enough, but when it arrived it was bathed in this disgustingly SWEET sauce that tasted kind of like ketchup. I don't remember that being in the menu description of the sandwich, but it ruined the whole thing and made it truly unpleasant to choke down the otherwise unexciting and edible sandwich. My friend ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and that looked ok, though I'd say the bread slices were way too thick for how much cheese was between them. We both ordered the cabbage slaw side and I found the fake mayo/cream they used to have an unpleasant after taste and again, it was way too sweet. Cabbage slaw should not be able to compete with dessert. Overall, I would not recommend this place at all. The food was fatty just for the sake of it rather than to add flavor or enjoyment. The menu is not at all creative and just features seitan or tofu in different incarnations. The place itself is nice and has a fun vibe, but they really need to rethink their food.
Pros: Ambiance, Friendly staff
Cons: Unhealthy, Everything was sweet

Meh - Edit
It has been a few yrs since I have been to Veggie Galaxy. I went today with my husband and I honestly remember it being a lot better. I ordered a cheesesteak and onion rings, the onion rings were totally flavorless and im 90% sure there was regualr cheese on my sandwich and not vegan cheese. I asked the server and she said it was vegan, but it just looked off to me so I ended up not eating it. My husband had the buffalo chix sandwich and said it was ok. The oreo cheesecake was really good.

The best. - Edit
No matter where I go, how far I travel, I will always consider Veggie Galaxy to be my favorite place to go for a vegan meal. Their menu is huge, and everything can be made vegan upon request. They have a weekly rotating blue plate special that is always exciting and worth trying. The staff is so friendly and kind and they go above and beyond to make sure you are happy with your order. If you are visiting Boston/Cambridge, this is a must visit!

The Galaxy Burger was by far the best thing I ordered, and I got the vegan version. Great outdoor seating. Biscuits and sausage gravy left a little to be desired though. Overall great place.

One of the best vegan diner experiences you’ll have in New England. - Edit
I probably grab VGal once or twice a week, and the hour drive is always worth it. Their food is great, the desserts are classic and their staff is one of a kind. They’ve had to make some adjustments due to the pandemic and have been troopers the entire way through. Cannot recommend enough.

You MUST eat here! - Edit
VeggieGalaxy is the quintessential diner. But it's vegetarian/vegan. (anything that's not already vegan can be made vegan. And ALL the incredible deserts are fully vegan).
Read moreThe atmosphere is funky and cool, but still warm and inviting even to older, uncool people like me.
I particularly love the BLT (the "B" is seitan). It comes with either fries, or their homemade potato chips, which are outstanding.
Once I find something I love, I rarely deviate. However, I've tried a few other things, too and they were wonderful, as well.
This IS diner food, so while vegan, it's still greasy and fattening, so it's probably best I don't live right next door or I'd be eating there every day.
During COVID, they've been open for take-out only, but they've put together a system for ordering & pickup that is very smooth and easy. I miss the ambiance of the place and look forward to dining in again when that is possible.
This place is definitely a must! Even my omni friends have liked it when I've dragged them in.
Pros: Delicious diner food, incredible vegan deserts, Very friendly and helpful staff
Cons: They ain't nothin' bad here to write about.

The Best Restaurant in Boston - Edit
I have tried just about everything on the menu and nothing ever disappoints! I can (and will) sing praise for Veggie Galaxy every single chance I get!
Read moreThe frappes are thick and delicious! The sandwiches are incredibly satisfying and the vegan cheese sauce is to die for! I always keep a quart of it in my fridge at home!
If you’ve never been, Veggie Galaxy is a MUST TRY. Please do yourself a favor and stop it, the mac & cheese is extremely popular, but my personal favorite is the breakfast burrito!
Additionally, the staff is always polite and will bend over backwards to be accommodating! A wonderful environment and incredible food!
Pros: Vegan Frappes, Friendly Staff, Affordable
Cons: Serves cheese (but everything can be made vegan)

A mixed bag, and definitely not for a health nut - Edit
If you’re a veg purely for health reasons, this place is probably not for you. We ordered a Rachel sandwich - very tasty and the first sandwich that had seitan taste exactly like meat. I would say even impossible/beyond burgers don’t taste as close as this does. However, it was super greasy so not something I would eat on a reg basis.

Hit or miss - Edit
I’ve been going to veggie galaxy for years now. It’s great because all the vegan options. The only thing about veggie galaxy is, there menu is so hit or miss! At first I thought I was being picky, but many people I’ve talked to agree. You have to know the certain good things to order there before you go, or else you risk getting a subpar meal. Overall, I like veggie galaxy and would still go, I just think what I’ve mentioned is important to note ❤️
