ample vegan choices - Edit
We found Desi Dhaba scoping out restaurants that were open on Christmas day near our hotel, and gave them a try for lunch. We were just thankful to find something that would be open, and were then astounded with the vegan options at the lunch bar and on the menu! The manager explained that a lot of people ask for vegan, so there are always a few choices on the buffet (about 1/3 of the buffet was vegan). He was apologetic that not more of the buffet is vegan, and that the whole menu isn't vegetarian, and explained that almost any of the vegetarian menu items can be made vegan upon request. This was my first time being able to eat at an Indian buffet, and I was very pleased with the choices and quality of the food- which lent to just a bit of overeating. It was well worth the sacrifice.
