Delicious Junk food - Edit
We had lunch here twice. Food here is great. Lot of fried stuff. The burgers we had, Original and Shawarma, were both good and substantial. We never had bitterballen before, but it was quite interesting - fried and crusty outside, but really soft inside. Nice. Service was very good. Location is very convenient to Museumplein.

As we read the previous review, we got the mediterranean cheese roles as a side and two burgers. Everything was very tasty and so flavorful!
Read moreWe were seated directly at the bar and were able to see how they prepare the food, as they have an open kitchen. Even though the place was crowded, everything was still clean and organized.
The only thing I didn't like, was that we had to wait ridiculously long - about 50 min!!! That is the biggest torture ever when you are hungry. But I guess we also went there when it was super busy - around 8 pm on a sunday.

As it’s been said on most of these reviews, the food was amazing! Get the “cheese” spring rolls, they’re out of this world. We also got double burgers, they were huge. We had to wait about 15 mins for a table, they take your number and call you when one is ready but we actually just waited there. Enjoy x

Couldn’t fault it - there was an hour wait for a table but we just grabbed a drink at a nearby bar and they phone you when your table is ready. The food was well worth the wait! Took my boyfriend who is not vegan and he loved it as well. Great vibe and would highly recommend the chickn nuggets!

This was the best burger I’ve had vegan or otherwise. I wasn’t a fan of burgers in general but this place changed my mind. I had the sumo burger and it was really great. I also had some fries. I’m going again. The staff were friendly and made me feel comfortable as a lone tourist.

Absolutely loved this place. Only had the pleasure of going once, which I had more time to go again. I got the double chicken burger and my boyfriend got the double hamburger. He’s only recently become vegetarian and he loved it too! Definitely recommend. A good thing to note though is they don’t take cash, card only when paying.

Really nice place with a fully vegan menu. The food was incredible, I had the best burger I have ever tasted and deserts were fantastic too. The burgers and fries are more than enough to fill you up but the Oreo cupcake is too nice to say no!

Stopped by on my first night in Amsterdam. Was given a table right away. The interior is trendy (lots of graffiti), but clean and modern. The menu is indeed junk food, but that's what we wanted. The burger and fries were good - not the best I've ever had, but I was not disappointed. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful. I'd go back.

This place is top notch! Great burgers, great service, nice atmosphere. Yummy sauces. Not cheap but still worth it. I would wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone who loves a good burger or a snack kind of meal. My husband and I are really impressed with this place. It's nice that it's licensed too. And it feels very funky, not like your stereotypical vegan hippie joint (hopefully that image will be a thing of the past in not too long).

I had the best vegan burger ever! I ordered the Original VJKB. The ice cream is also very good and there are many mouthwatering options to choose from. A bit on the pricey side but it's definitely worth it!

I had heard about the food and we (boyfriend also vegan) were hoping not to be disappointed. We were not and we were actually lost for words. We had the Jumbo Platter and it was soooo good. The bitterballs tasted exactly like the meaty version! The place has a very good vibe, staff was really nice. Good selection of beers (and IPA's). Coming back!

An absolutely crunch tackle of a place just at the back of the Heineken Brewery complex in a crescent shaped row of buildings known as Marie Heinekenplein. We had the Wish and Chips and an Original VJFB Burger. The fish was crispy fried on the outside with a soft flaky texture on the inside. The burger was immense in both taste and size. Quite possibly the best vegan junk food I have ever eaten. With a beer and a glass of wine the bill came to an acceptable €33. Don't forget, it's card only here. No cash in this bash.

I'd like to say that my favourite thing about my trip to Amsterdam was the art galleries or the beautiful architecture, but it was, in fact, the food at VJFB. It made us consider abandoning our families and jobs, and moving to Amsterdam. I can't recommend it highly enough. Their Notorious Sumo burger is the best thing to have happened.

There are two vegan junk food bars in Amsterdam. This one is my no 1! Friendly staff, great tasty food, also some healthy options, and really good fast food. Not Always seats available since it is a very populair place.

Awesome menu and very tasty food at good prices. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. I will eat here again. I had the chick'n tortilla which was so yummy and the tortilla tasted like corn chips just be aware it's an open tortilla and not wrapped like a burrito.

Went here for lunch with an omni friend. She had the burger with sweet potato fries and I had the kapsalon. The kapsalon was an amazing mix of tastes, very satisfying, and for me it was a huge portion (and I'm a big eater). I tasted some of the fries as well, which were nice and crispy, which isn't always the case with sweet potatoes. It wasn't as expensive as one might expect from Amsterdam. Definitely recommended!
