Unbelievable!!! - Edit
Sitting here eating now and I can honestly say this as good as I’ve eaten in a while. Had the double mcchick’n or something like that. HUGE but very good. Can’t believe the 2 star review claiming it’s unhealthy and not for them. It’s literally called “Vegan Junk Food Bar.” I love it. You won’t regret it. Great location and atmosphere too.

You must visit one of these if in Amsterdam. The menu is large and varied, was very hard to choose which to order! I went with nuggets and chips, both were tasty. My friend ordered loaded fries which she loved. Prices are a little steep but there is nothing boring or tasteless about this food! Staff were friendly and service was very fast. Very popular spot so would recommend getting there before the crowd!

Went there with a few activists and it was fine for me because I haven't had lunch that day.
Tried the blue tortilla, which was ok, but come on man 13 euros for a tortilla....do not exagerate!
Not sure I will go back to this place, I can do vegan junk food for definitely cheaper than that...

Cool funky decor, friendly staff, and great food - had a sumo burger which was huge and stacked full of toppings, plus the jumbo platter which had some delicious items although was a little smaller than I expected it to be for its price.

We came too late for full menu so watch out for that. They stop at 11 but are open until 12am.
Read moreWe ordered the jumbo platter and some fries. The jumbo platter would really fill one person. It had 3 giant onion rings, 3 nuggets, 6 bitterfallen (meatball size), 3 cheese egg rolls. I think that's it. 17€50. It came with bbq, chz sauce, sweet and sour and brown mustard.
Everything was good. All fried so not healthy. Very tasty though.
Update: we went back again and had the Notorious Sumo and Daddy McChkn. Both were so amazing. I would even give another star. Both had 2 patties and chz. Big patties. The chkn was breaded. The buns were soft. The sumo tasted like a better big mac with jalapenos. Both had a giant onion ring. All the flavors came together so nicely. We devoured them in 5 minutes.
Another update!: We went again before we left and when we were really high. But they shut down 2 hours before closing because they got too backed up! Big bummer. Watch out for this. Check their facebook page before going. The sumo and daddy mcchiken are so worth it. We went to Kebabi instead but VJFB has better sandwiches.

One of the best, if not the best vegan burger I've ever had!(DaddyMcChikn) add onion rings and a craft beer by two chefs brewing and you will not be disappointed. The regular burger is tasty as well if you aren't that hungry.

This place is the dream. Had the Original VJFB burger and came back the next day to get another, shame I didn't have time to try the rest of the menu! The burger was SO GOOD. Definitely recommend.

After a long morning in Amsterdam this place was heaven. Make sure you go to this restaurant though as the other ones are more bars and this one is very atmospheric and pretty! The “kapsalon loaded fries” are a must try!!

Yum food! We got the new bagel croquette burger and the chick-n burger which were very tasty! However they had no idea of allergy information when I asked if anything contained peanuts. And sadly we had to go up and ask for help every time, we were ignored when we arrived and they forgot to bring back cutlery and our plates. Great place but sad about the lack of service

half of the menu was beverages so there weren’t a ton of options. had shawarma royal burger and fully loaded fries, both tasted delicious but really upset both me and my partners stomachs and the discomfort lasted all day

This was the first vegetarian place I found in Amsterdam. Portions are large and the food is tasty but there is a lot of frying going on here. All in all a lot of value for your money.

I don't really like the urban kind of style: it feels like it's only for younger people. However, there are already a lot of hippie kind of places and some chique restaurants, so this concept is more unique and really seems to work.

The food here is amazing, No doubt about that. We came here on Saturday afternoon and it was very crowded (the whole plaza, which is surronded by restaurants and bars was crowded) and we were told that it would take about 1,5 hours to be seated. The waiter took our phone number and we decided to wait in a nearby pub. After 90 minutes passed we came back to check again and we were seated, no problem. Later I had asked waitress if it's possible to get a phone number to make a reservation, but she said reservations are made on the spot only. However we went back on Monday during lunch time and it was not crowded at all, so it depends on the time really. Back to the food: we had the Notorious Sumo burger, Chick'n Ceasar salad the first time and Daddy Mc Chick'n burger and Shawarma on the second occasion. All spectacular. Probably one of the top 3 burgers I've ever had.

Although we were initially told the waiting list was 1.5 to 2 hours, it was well worth the wait. The burgers and the fries are simply amazing, and the staff is very friendly.

Went with my non-vegan friend today and we both enjoyed the food a lot! Definitely recommend it even if you’re a non-vegan or if you want to eat somewhere with meat eating friends. Will come back soon for sure!
