Great burgers bad waitress - Edit
Burgers and fries were really good. Didn’t taste like vegan burgers. However, the waitress was rude to my girlfriend and other women. She forgot to bring my girlfriend’s drink and never checked up on us. At the end when it was time to pay she was friendly because obviously she wanted a tip.

This is vegan junkfood at it's best. The burgers are exceptional, the loaded fries ridiculously great and everything is just awesome. There are 3 locations and the one at Marie Heinekenplein is my favorite.

Since moving to Amsterdam I have had food here many 20 times! It’s absolutely delicious and meat eaters alike will love it- great eating or with friends and family :) only problem is the music is so loud here, it sounds like a night club!

Best food you’ll ever taste - Edit
Visited Vegan Junk Food during our short visit to Amsterdam in February. Struggling to think of the perfect words to say about it here apart from that it’s simply perfect. Place is really busy, no wonder! the staff are lovely, friendly and accommodating who make sure you’re having a positive experience. We ended up eating here the rest of the trip and are coming back in September just to visit/eat here. You will not regret it. My only regret is that I don’t live closer!

Visited Amsterdam to eat every vegan food I could find, this place won the 1st place what comes to taste. Drawbacks: hecking long waiting time to get a table (1 hour) and almost equally long waiting time to get the food. Tables are also shared with other customers, we didnt mind but just so you know.

We visited on a Wednesday night and the place was packed. They got us a table inside pretty fast, but we soon found out why. The music was so loud you would have to shout to have a conversation. Drinks took about 30 min and food almost and hour. We had burgers, chickpea fries (yum!) and the snack platter. Food was ok, but I have had better (Mooshka!), for less money.

This was just what we needed after cycling round the Netherlands all week and eating food cooked on a campstove. The chicken burger was amazing and so were the bitterballs. So junky and delicious and the staff were great. Big portions so make sure you’re hungry!

I’ve eaten here countless times because I’m an American vegan so there’s no better combination than vegan and junk food. I try not to come here when I’m starving because the service is sooo very slow. The key is to come when you’re hungry, about half an hour from hangry. Just when you’re about to rip someone’s head off, the server will arrive with a huge portion of divine food and within seconds you’ll forget all about how mean you almost just got. Then shortly after you’ll be painfully full. I recommend the McChicken and the sweet potato fries. That’s coming from someone who’s tried several different options and brought various friends to the place. You can’t pay with cash unless you have exact change.

Great food, but very crowded for lunch during the week on the day we went. I had a big salad with a side of fries which was delicious. I wanted to order the unicorn bread but I wasn't sure what they used to color it so blue so I wasn't sure if it was sweet or made with dyes or what, so that was one reasonI shied away from it. I had to order a couple of appetizers for my 5-year old boy since there weren't clear options of things he'd be willing to eat, so unfortunately he ended up with only oily starchy foods for lunch that day.

Both the kids and adults enjoyed the food and everything was eaten which isn’t often with these fussy kids! They were happy to leave off the garnishes and extras that the kids didn’t want. I had the loaded fries which were fantastic. I think I may have to eat fries like this in future! We also tried burgers, onion rings, and hot dog. We had red velvet cake for dessert which was a little underwhelming - nicely presented but hardly any icing. There were only two dessert options which was disappointing as the rest of the menu was so big I had expected more of a choice. The other option was Ben and Jerry’s ice cream. Overall great decor, friendly staff, tasty food but expensive. However, perhaps that is normal for Amsterdam.

The Vegan Junk Food Bar is like a heaven for a vegan junk food lover. Their menu is terrific, with double burgers, a shawarma burger with an amazing seitan, a hot dog with 2 beautiful sausages in an enormous croissant. Gorgeous! I also liked the bitterballs, the fries, everything is perfect. The place has good vibes, is ideally located on Heinekenplein, and the staff is friendly. Prices are really fair for the quantity and quality of food you get. I would come back to Amsterdam just to eat there.

Great variety in fast-food options and portion sizes.If you are from the US and love the Veggie Grill chain, this is a must-visit, but don’t expect a Beyond Burger—these ingredients are sourced from other sources. Fast service: our party of six was immediately seated at 13:00 and we had food in under 15 minutes.

We tried sumo & "chicken" burger and loaded sweet potato fries. The burgers had a double patty and didn't look too huge, but once you start eating it... it's pretty filling. The fries were very cool too! My only objections would be that you can't pay by card and they don't give back cash, so you have to give them the exact amount.
