We stopped in late afternoon/early evening with no reservation and were seated quite quickly. Friendly, calm staff. Love that they have non-alcoholic beverage options.

They were both delicious and not super oily/greasy - didn't feel heavy after eating which is one of the benefits of plant based noms! Would definitely go there again and try a burger or one of their desserts. More of a lunch/ snack place versus dinner in my opinion but worth the visit. Outdoor seating available too which would be fun in the summer. Food hit the spot and it's around the corner from the Heineken experience/canal boat tours so great for before/ after

Book up or prepare for a long wait for a table. Typical junk food, beautifully presented. The bitterballen were amazing, and the banana chips while you wait are excellent. The rest is your typical fake meat fare: good but not really to my taste. Music is loud but you can still hear to speak just fine. Staff were very friendly.

Read moreWe found this place quite varied - the 'kapsalon' fries with seitan, cheese and salad was amazing, really delicious and crisp. The bitter ballen were really great too. the chicken burger was a bit dry and overcooked though, and the cake (only one option) was very cold and not that tasty.
Its pretty busy and noisy, we had a longish wait for a table indoors, and being in central Amsterdam it unsurprisingly has a lot of excitable tourists!
its amazing to have so many options of vegan junk food, and a lot of it really good. in most cities it would stand out, but Amsterdam has so many great vegan options that you can be fussy! but would happily go back...

Best burger I’ve ever had - Edit
Went there today with a friend (she’s not even vegetarian) and we were super surprised. The food was just amazing, it was actually the best vegan burger I’ve ever had. The place is super cool, service is great and we got our food super fast. Can be really packed at lunch time, at first we got asked to come back again in 1h cause they were not able to take anyone else inside as it was super full already. We returned afterwards and it was just perfect.

This place is right behind the Heineken Experience but we walked past it at first, it is not so easy to find. They don’t take reservations or cash. We ate outside which was fine due to the heat lamps. The service was very good both times we were there. The prices are fine, the food is absolutely awesome. We had: shawarma burger, starter platter to share (the cheese sticks are so good!), wish and chips. All superdelicious.

I've been to quite a lot of fast food joints in my time but this one wins out by far, even from before I actually became vegetarian. Especially if you're tired of the notion that vegans supposedly only eat sad little salads while their friends pig out on burgers. This place is different.
Read moreRight upon entering you're greeted with a cozy (or as we Dutch say, "gezellig") little restaurant, with various seating spots and a cool bar to sit at. The entire bar has a grungy and neon aesthetic with vegan-positive quotes and graffiti-themed spraypaint coating the walls. The entire place is well-cleaned and presentable. The music choicee is nice but loud, so that might be a problem to those with sensory issues.
The menu is varied, but many, if not all of the dishes are greasy and high in calories, as to be expected from junkfood. These burgers are enormous -- my burger of choice is the Notorious Sumo, which is two vegan patties and a whole lot of toppings, including their own sauce. They also have Dutch staples like bitterballen, "patatje kapsalon", and various kinds of fries, to name a few. All of this is accompanied with a decently-sized offering of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Every single thing on offer is vegan, which is an absolute delight. The menu, however, is extremely accessible to vegans and non-vegans alike, although it might be considered more expensive than other restaurants.
Like in most of Amsterdam, some people who work here do not speak Dutch, but all of them are adept in English so it's not a huge problem. Everyone is very friendly and understanding.
Lastly, it is so popular that we often have to wait outside before we can be seated! This happens most around 5 to 7 PM. So that's definitely something to consider, and the bar does not offer reservation options.
However, the wait is absolutely worth it, in my opinion. So if you're a vegan foodie somewhere in Amsterdam, or even a non-vegan, this is definitely a must-try.

L'ambiente è bellissimo, muri decorati da graffiti, possibilità di mangiare al banco, cucina in vista, si respira un'atmosfera intima e informale.
Il mio compagno ha ordinato il NOTORIUS SUMO, un panino enorme, con doppio burger delizioso.
io ho preso il SHAWARMA ROYAL e mi sono vista portare un piatto gigante, un panino ripieno di filetti di soia (credo), stile kebab. Pazzesco!! assolutamente uno dei migliori panini che abbia mai mangiato! Era così grossa la porzione che sono stata aiutata a finire!
Assolutamente se andate in questo splendida città andate a mangiarci una volta; consiglio però di prenotare prima per non dover attendere.

Between 2 of us we got the chick'n burger and original 'beef' burger with onion rings and truffle chips - couldn't fault any of it. The truffle chips were especially good. A but sad we didn't have the chance to try everything else on the menu - it all look amazing.

I ate the burger with 'beef' and the signature sauce of the bar (VJFB) and Amsterdam bitterballen. I liked their harmonic textures and tastes. The mint tea made with fresh mint was amazing with an intensive and refreshing taste! The staff was friendly. The graffiti/tile/concrete design made it a bit too 'junky' and less cosy, but this was compensated by the comfortable wooden bench. I came at 12:00 and shortly after the place got completely full.
