Best in Kyoto!

So lovely, I had the taco bowl, and my parents had the tomato curry and rice and tempeh. Relatively good price and lovely staff - they stayed open especially for us! Right before the bridge on the left

An healthy option for once!

I took the taco rice, but it’s more like a salad with vegetables, black beans and rice (which is perfect IMO). Cute restaurant with many choices. ❤️

Pros: Many choices, Nice view, Healthy options

Good food and view

Food was good and the view of the river was nice. Only downside is no parking place.

loved the food

Good food and nice view! Had the lunch plate with vegan katsu and it was the juiciest and loveliest katsu I ever had! We also had a muffin, that was bit dry but the great lunch made up for it.

Had lunch here and it was delicious. Think it was called the obanzai meal with a selection of tapas. All really tasty

Favorite Vegan Restaurant in Kyoto

Perfect location-- right on the river !
Perfect staff -- everyone friendly and light!
and OH the food
The carrot carbonara is creamy, sweet, and slightly smoky. The purple potato salad melts in your mouth. Falafel is moist and flavorful; cakes and muffins always perfect --
Easy to find, good value, nice vibe.

Pros: Excellent food, Good value, Friendly staff

Very yummy

The toast of the day was excellent. Coffee and tea were good, and we ate the yummy muffins to go after leaving. Very tasty little cafe.

Fresh vegan food and nice atmosphere

Kyoto hasn’t too much vegan places and this one looks like an oasis. I had breakfast and it was quite nice, specially because sometimes you’ll miss fresh vegetables in Japan. There was also a homemade yogurt and granola with fresh fruits on it.
The place even has a small store and also a lovely view.

Tasty homemade food 👌🏼

Not the biggest venue but if you get a table very enjoyable food! Platters had great variety & the soup was delicious!
Went at lunchtime & they had sold out of the popular panini’s which looked very nice! Had a choc/banana muffin to go - loved it!
Lovely location with friendly staff!
Definitely recommend!

Pros: Location - river view, Soup was delicious , Cake selection

Favourite place to eat in Kyoto

Visited this place around 4 times during my visit to Kyoto and it was definitely my favourite. Enjoyed most of the menu with the favourite being the Buddah bowl. Chilled out place with view over the river.

Really nice buddha bowl

Lovely little cafe- beautifully decorated with a simple menu of 3/4 things for lunch. There's a panini, a mixed plate and a buddha bowl with the best soy meat I've ever had. Between 1000-1800 yen depending on whether you get a drink with your meal, little bit pricey but you get a miso soup to start and it's lovely and healthy. Would recommend for something light.

Pros: Fresh & vibrant food, friendly staff

Cons: not super filling (used to ramen!), on the pricey side

Must-visit in Kyoto

We’ve eaten here for breakfast and dinner and we were really satisfied with the food, service and ambiance (view of the river & restaurant temperature) on both visits. I loved the matcha latte during breakfast but it was not available for dinner. There are separate menus for breakfast, lunch, afternoon teatime & dinner. Definitely coming back here when we’re in Kyoto.

Good food

Was a nice assortment of veggies with sauce coating, I enjoyed the fried seitan very much! I think my total for the Banzai dish, apple juice and muffin was just under ¥2,300.

Pros: Decent price , Good food

Cons: Flies near the window kept buzzing around me, Portion not very big

Stylish Vegan Cafe, Environment is very good

Personally, I will suggest having breakfast here in the morning, because when the sun shines into the cafe, then take a deep breath under the sun, and you will be filled up by all the positive energy. The good day begins with breakfast ☀️

One of my favorite places in Kyoto

I love the river view at this place and the food is consistently good. On my last visit, for two people, we had: White wine
Patagonia Long Root Ale
Fried tempeh
Potato and beetroot salad
Balinese salad with fried tempeh
Tomato coconut curry
Berry berry cake

Everything was great. We went late and the cake was the only dessert they had (left?) Could have easily had another piece of the cake. It was fruity and delicious.

You can walk there easily from Kyoto station as it is only around 850 meters away.

Hope to visit again on a future trip to Kyoto.

Cozy atmosphere and good food

I ate twice there during my stay in Kyoto. Everything was very tasty and good, nice desserts as well. The problem can be that some dishes become "sold out" quickly, first time I see this happening in a restaurant.
Beautiful view of the river, cozy atmosphere.

Pros: Tasty food, Beautiful view, Cozy atmosphere

Cons: Some dishes are "sold out"

Don’t go

Got here about 40 minutes after they opened and a few dishes were already “sold out.” What?! In addition, the menu was already extremely sparse, there was only one “main” which was fried soy meat. I ordered it and the waitress recommended that I order something else too, as it “wasn’t enough for a meal”. If it’s not enough, why is it labeled as a “main”?! I tried to fill up on dessert to bridge the gap, but they only had one, very small and sad looking option in the case so I passed. The bill for what was essentially a side of fried tofu and brown rice came out to 1600 ¥ and I left hungry. Would not recommend.

Pros: Decent food

Cons: Expensive , Small portions, Few options, and many “sold out”
