Tasty but pricey - Edit
This restaurant has been on my list for ages so I was very excited to come here. I went with my partner on Valentine's Day and we loved the cute decor and feel of the restaurant. The menu was extensive and it was difficult to pick what we wanted, it all looked so good!
Read moreWe went for a starter, two hot dishes, dim sum, two refillable rice bowls, a dessert and a glass of wine between us. The food was all tasty – I particularly enjoyed our starter (deep fried tofu with salt and Sichuan pepper) but I wasn't blown away. Our meal was tasty and I enjoyed it but I didn't think it justified the hefty £70 that we paid for it. It may look like we ordered a lot of food for that price but after eating all that I wasn't even that full!
I think it's worth giving this place a try as the food is still good and many of the other reviewers rave about it, so maybe I missed something or ordered the wrong options, but I was just left feeling a little underwhelmed.
Pros: Tasty food, Extensive menu, Super efficient service
Cons: Expensive

Delicious...Mouth watering food! - Edit
Best vegan Asian food I have experienced in London. Amazing flavours and textures, such a treat, perfect!
Read moreSo looking forward to returning here for a quiet relaxed family birthday lunch. Food was absolutely delicious as expected and didn’t disappoint. Everyone really enjoyed the food.
Had noticed that service very efficient with removing our plates, which was fine, as a small group of us and we had ordered lots of dishes, space was good. What was disappointing was that even though we had loads of time in our dinning slot left to have the tea they had forgotten, when we asked if we could have drinks ( as our unasked for bill arrived)we were told by our server that we didn’t have time! I have never ever experienced this before. We all sat there quietly stunned. The time it took to point this out and try and negotiate extra time it was not worth staying. Customers shouldn’t be put in this situation. Not nice.

Worth the hype - Edit
Got lots of recommendations to go here and was not disappointed. Wasn't quite sure from the menu we were ordering but everything was tasty, so I don't think it matters what you get. Would love to go back to try more. Love that the rice is free refills.

Go here! - Edit
Is this place real?! It was so great, amazing service, delicious food, chilled vibes. We enjoyed the wontons, ‘fisc’ in bao, Gong Bao mushrooms and rice. All of the food was delicious, and the lady serving us was so friendly and offered lots of suggestions. It is a little pricy, our meal with a tea and a beer and service came to almost £60. But it’s delicious, all vegan and I’ll definitely be back.

Delicious, authentic, but pricey - Edit
4 of us came to London to watch a West end show, and had booked tofu vegan for an early dinner. My wife and sister in-law are both Chinese, and the food was lovely and very authentic, confirmed by both my wife and sister in law.
Read moreFor 4 of us, we ordered around 7 or 8 dishes and all drank tea. The price came to £144, which is obviously not cheap.
All in all though for a special occasion or treat, its probably worth it. The food was delicious.
Pros: Loads of options , Delicious food , Authentic flavours
Cons: Smaller portions , Expensive

Excellent lavours - Edit
I would give this place 5-stars on flavour but the price total was quite high. I have noticed that eating out in the UK is quite expensive to what I am used to back in Canada.
Read moreThe menu was very informative with allergy warnings and items that contained gluten. Very clear.
There were 6 of us and everything was ordered by one person that knew what they were doing. I was very pleased with their selection of dished. The Fried Cauliflower, cloud ear fungus, and the 'fisc' were very tasty.
I liked that they had refillable bowls of rice. I would suggest that a person order fewer dishes and fill up a bit on the rice to save some money. Our order was 28 pounds per person.
I would return if an opportunity presents itself.
Pros: Very tasty, Good space
Cons: Somewhat expensive for me

Edit 2022: This place is amazing btw. It’s probably one of my favourite all-Vegan restaurants in London. They now have branches in Golders Green & Spitalfields. I’ve been to the Golders Green & it’s just as good!
Read moreThe lotus buns with the twice cooked “f’sh” are becoming a favourite. The Xiao Long Bao are perfect freshly made - they don’t survive a takeaway. The black fungus I also love. And the Wantons are to die for!!!!
2021: Ordered takeaway from here last night and my friend & I were blown away. Some lovely dim sum, black cloud ear mushrooms, cold “chicken” with ginger and sesame, “duck” and pancakes, even the dry fried green beans were delicious. The Xiou Long Bao skins were a little thick & lacked soupiness and we shouldn’t have bothered with the bean paste dessert but everything else I would absolutely order again. Would also like to go to the restaurant some time. Pricy but probably worth it.

Personal favourite vegan Chinese - Edit
Been to various vegan / vegan option Chinese restaurants and I think this is my top one. The menu is vast - though a lot of them are spicy options - and includes dim sum eg. Siu Mai which I’ve never seen a vegan version of before. The only thing missing for me is a sesame prawn toast! Service was really quick and efficient, portion sizes were good although quite expensive for the dim sum. The food tasted delicious, warming, and was lovely to share with others. Nothing was too oily or salty and it was refreshing to not have to worry about whether the dish was vegan or not. I would recommend the aubergine dishes!

Out of the winter rain and into the warm embrace of Tofu Vegan, where their lovely staff were setting up their Christmas tree.

Miss it 😢 - Edit
We visited London for just 2.5 days and I had to make it to this place. I was craving soup dumplings for the longest time and haven’t been able to find any vegan ones near where I live. Unfortunately we had dinner plans less than 3 hours after we came so we couldn’t eat much. We only had the Soupy Xiao Long Bao stuffed with tofu and mushroom, and the Wontons in a house special sauce. Both were truly phenomenal and I regret not ordering more! Food was awesome. Thank you.
