It's all vegan....

Nice to sit down and know the menu is all vegan. Tofu with black bean sauce was fantastic. I had requested medium spice, and the dish came with the right amount of chillis for my taste. Appreciated the variety of fungi on offer, not the run of the mill mushrooms. Innovative tasty desserts. Portion size was about right for us. Two of us split a portion of rice. Making a reservation at peak times is a good idea.

Pros: Friendly helpful staff, Quality ingredients, All vegan menu

Cons: A little pricey

Extensive menu, friendly service

Loved these guys! Delicious noodles and dim sum. Indoor and outdoor seating. Great experience.

Nice, vegan chinese style

Good food. Small but delicious portions. Service was very good but maybe a little too attentive/friendly (possibly assumed we wanted American style service because we were tourists?).

Pros: Nice food, lots of options

Cons: Server was very friendly but a little pushy

Amazing Chinese food made Vegan

It was great to go back again to this wonderful restaurant after 3 years. However the presentation was a bit worse and the we had the feeling that dishes also went a a step down in quality and flavour overall. Still would recommend this place as the food is good and they provide excellent service.

In my personal opinion plates with coriander should be clearly marked as ruins the dish

Delicious

Crispy tofu, silken tofu, firm tofu, edamame beans....you name it, they have it! If you love tofu and mushrooms, this is the place for you. Honestly, the best Chinese meal I've ever had!

Food tastes like every other Chinese you’ve ever eaten. One plate seemed to be flavored with oil. Everything was edible, great that it’s all vegan, but I struggle to see what the fuss is about. Wouldn’t come again.

Pros: Great menu

Cons: 12% service added to bill, Too much oil, A hair in the food.

Good but not great

Honestly, slightly disappointed after reading such great reviews. The food was tasty and service was good, but seemed very pricey for what we had.

Dinner In Islington

I just happened to be walking by and decided to drop in. Great service. tasty food.

One of our favourites!

This was our second trip to Tofu Vegan, and it is solidly one of our favorite restaurants 💛

The soupy xiao long bao and the twice cooked fisc with lotus buns are our absolute must try dishes!

Service is quick and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Another delicious meal at Tofu Vegan

Tony was very warm and friendly and made me and my friend feel welcome. To start, we tucked into the not-too-spicy wontons and delightful spring rolls (my friend’s absolute favourite - sometimes she visits just to order these!) Followed by MY personal favourite - gong bao king oyster mushrooms with cashew nuts. The texture of the mushroom is incredible - thick chunks covered with gorgeous sauce. And in my opinion, no Chinese meal is complete without fake duck pancakes! Amazing vegan take on the popular classic. I was also feeling experimental, so I had their “mixed” option of fruit juice - apple, orange and carrot, with a hint of ginger too. It was delicious and very healthy! Lovely decor and some branded items to buy too - such as tote bags and t-shirts. Thank you Tofu Vegan for another wonderful experience.

classic for a reason

I can’t believe I didn’t go here sooner. Tofu Vegan was recommended to me by people who aren’t even vegan or vegetarian. They have lots of dishes I rarely or never have seen vegan. Everything was incredible. Even loved by meat-eating friends.

Pros: atypical menu options, soup dumplings, everything!

Fast and delicious food

We just stopped in for one dish as we’d already eaten. My partner loved this mouthwatering chicken even though it’s quite simple and room temperature. The celery underneath provides a nice contrast. The service was pretty quick and the food all around smelled delicious. Lucky people that love nearby.

Very very good!

Staff were friendly, we sat outside but the inside looked really nice.

Fantastic Asian delights

We had a smashing good time at this establishment today for lunch. The service was really good, and the food was outstanding. The restaurant was clean including the bathrooms. They had Wi-Fi available. I would definitely recommend you guys get this place is shot if you’re in London for delicious Asian experience.

The rave reviews are spot on

Extensive menu with sooo many amazing looking options, we were overwhelmed with what to pick! We got the wontons in house special sauce to start, gong bao chicken with peanuts, stir fried tofu with king oyster and shiitake mushrooms and twice cooked “fisc.” It was all delicious. We also had the sesame rolls stuffed with red bean paste for dessert which could have had a little more flavour in them.

The staff were very attentive and friendly and service was quick. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere and decor promoting tofu!

Loved the wontons

Excellent flavours and massive menu!

I got an aubergine dish and the wontons and quite liked both. The aubergine was a little too rich for me, but that might be my preference. Great spices.

Good chinese food

This places offers all kinds of vegan chinese food. Great taste and quick service. Can be a bit pricy if you order some starters but main dishes were good quantity for the price we paid.
