Peaceful gem in London - Edit
What a beautiful, charming, peaceful place! I had a very heavy day yesterday and woke up tired, but coming here made me feel so much better - the wonderful decoration, the delicious food with great vegan options (the restaurant is vegan/vegetarian), the lovely service I received from Nirali (she’s the sweetest!). I really recommend this place if you want to nourish body and soul away from London’s madness

Decent curry, nothing special - Edit
Great range of vegan options, clearly marked, and staff confirmed which were vegan went brought over.
Read moreThe puris were very good but curry's quite average. The vegan chicken texture was nice and a good edition compared with tofu, but the sauces were quite average and lacked something I found.
The space itself didn't seem comforting like a restaurant and almost like a hotel lobby...not sure if that was just the section we were in.

Some good Indian options. - Edit
Many vegan options (although, disappointingly, no vegan daal). Plenty of breads are also vegan. This is a good restaurant with decent options. The food tastes good. The venue is clean and modern but, I found it a little clinical. Service is sometimes a little abrupt and cold

Namaste @OMNOM - Edit
Great vegan selection, but the taste just wasn’t there for us. Also, we asked for our dishes to be spicy and they were not spicy at all.

Onion and garlic free!!! - Edit
I was having a bad IBS flare and I found this place where apparently the whole menu is onion and garlic free. It’s absolutely great. Also the food was delicious and the location is great right at Islington square.

Vegan afternoon tea! - Edit
It was very good value for the price and the food was all round pretty good. I think the sandwiches were the best part and some of the desserts were a bit of a miss. I thought the chai tasted a bit burnt, but my friend likes hers. Overall one to try if you want an Indian vegan afternoon tea!

Masala Dosa was really tasty - Edit
The Masala Dosa I had was great. I definitely preferred the more peppery sauce over the creamier one, but it didn’t take away from the dish. I went on a Saturday and got right in but they were pretty busy so the less than super-fast service was understandable.
Read more*Edit* to add that I'm from the US and this was the first place I ate in the UK. Since then I realize the cultural differences in wait/service experiences and this place was perfectly within the accepted norms.

Shame it's gone veggie to vegan - Edit
Disappointed to hear this was a vegan restaurant that added dairy. Went for the afternoon tea which seemed decent value at £29.95 per person for starters, sandwiches, desserts and a hot drink. Also added welcome mojitos for £6. Some of the food was pretty spicy, but it was a nice mix and good to have an alternative afternoon tea and try lots of different things. The best bits were the chicken wrap, samosa, and shortbread cookie.

Amazing food - Edit
Really lovely food. We had the butter Masala made vegan and the Chana masala with rice and a butter Naan. Gorgeous. My 9 year old is already asking when we can go back. Sadly we are not local.

Tasty Vegan Jain Thali - Edit
An absolutely fantastic vegan Jain thali (which was perfect as I am allergic to onions) and a vegan cheese dosa. Brilliant service, great location - we will definitely be back soon. Omnom is hopefully opening in Wales soon too!

Solid Indian option - Edit
We were looking for an option on Sunday evening and we're glad to find a table here. There was still quite some space.
Read moreService was very fast and attentive.
We had the love to share platter (with beet root kebap, Aloo bonda, samosa and chickn bites), which was okay. The masala dosa was very tasty, our favourite! The gobi manchurian was tasty but a bit much of the same so we were glad we could share the dishes.

The food looked really good, but disappointed a lot in terms of taste. It felt bland, especially by Indian standards. Service was nice, though.

Seems to be getting less vegan - Edit
All the food was tasty, though a little spicy. I particularly enjoyed the chocolate cake.
