Okay, but lacking flavour - Edit
Fine but too light on the spice and heavy on the fake meat. Could be more authentic. Not enough greens and overpriced for the service.

Second time in one of these restaurants, but today we tried the one in Islington. Woah! Everything is so delicious. The wontons are really the best. We also tried some buns (the filling tasted like fish!), fried rice, noodles, tofu with different sauces. Everything and anything you can try here is going to be absolutely perfect. I didn't even take pictures!!! 🙊 And the staff is really nice! 100000/10

Nice to sit down and know the menu is all vegan. Tofu with black bean sauce was fantastic. I had requested medium spice, and the dish came with the right amount of chillis for my taste. Appreciated the variety of fungi on offer, not the run of the mill mushrooms. Innovative tasty desserts. Portion size was about right for us. Two of us split a portion of rice. Making a reservation at peak times is a good idea.

Amazing Chinese food made Vegan - Edit
It was great to go back again to this wonderful restaurant after 3 years. However the presentation was a bit worse and the we had the feeling that dishes also went a a step down in quality and flavour overall. Still would recommend this place as the food is good and they provide excellent service.

Crispy tofu, silken tofu, firm tofu, edamame beans....you name it, they have it! If you love tofu and mushrooms, this is the place for you. Honestly, the best Chinese meal I've ever had!

Food tastes like every other Chinese you’ve ever eaten. One plate seemed to be flavored with oil. Everything was edible, great that it’s all vegan, but I struggle to see what the fuss is about. Wouldn’t come again.

Another delicious meal at Tofu Vegan - Edit
Tony was very warm and friendly and made me and my friend feel welcome. To start, we tucked into the not-too-spicy wontons and delightful spring rolls (my friend’s absolute favourite - sometimes she visits just to order these!) Followed by MY personal favourite - gong bao king oyster mushrooms with cashew nuts. The texture of the mushroom is incredible - thick chunks covered with gorgeous sauce. And in my opinion, no Chinese meal is complete without fake duck pancakes! Amazing vegan take on the popular classic. I was also feeling experimental, so I had their “mixed” option of fruit juice - apple, orange and carrot, with a hint of ginger too. It was delicious and very healthy! Lovely decor and some branded items to buy too - such as tote bags and t-shirts. Thank you Tofu Vegan for another wonderful experience.
