Read moreDas Essen war wenig für das viele Geld. Zusätzlich war es nicht gut. Die Nudeln waren zu Brei gekocht, die Rouladen haben scharf geschmeckt, aber nach nichts anderem und die Portionsgrößen waren übersichtlich. Einzig der Aperol ist sehr empfehlenswert!

Only thing "crazy" is the prices - Edit
We had the sharing dips for starters which were decent (the dips themselves were nice, but the bread that came with it was dry), but none of us were impressed by our main courses, which we all found to be quite bland and underseasoned.

We chose the bowls and even though this specific night they were out of potatoes (we got replacements!) it was still soooo delicious.

Das Personal war besonders nett und wir haben uns wie bei Freunden zu Besuch gefühlt. Das ist definitiv unser neues Lieblings Restaurant in Berlin!

And the potato wedges that came with it were straight up black. We weren't sure whether thats how they are supposed to be or not. After seeing the other pictures on Happy Cow... I guess we just got unlucky?
We had a great server and even though the food was "meh", I think I would come here again for some gigantes and grilled peppers. The menu is just too interesting to me!

Family Feast at The Crazy Little Greek - Edit
I went to The Crazy Little Greek with my family and we all had an absolutely lovely time. Staff was really, really friendly and welcoming. I had the moussaka, which was incredibly tasty, gluten-free and perfectly satisfying without feeling too heavy.

It is quite pricey, which is understandable given the quality, but overall it’s a fantastic spot for a special meal with family or friends. Highly recommended!

We tried three of their dips as starters and had moussaka and cabbage rolls as main dishes. The dips were very good, especially the spicy vegan feta dip was a positive surprise even though we're usually not big fans of coconut based vegan cheese. However the main dishes were not the best. The service was super friendly and the portions were big, we had to ask a box for the leftovers.

This fully vegan and gluten free restaurant is in a central location near Hackescher Markt. We had a group reservation and basically took over half of the restaurant. The staff was very friendly, but seemingly a little overwhelmed, which showed up in long waiting times.

We were offered free dessert to share and that was also tasty. The espresso I ordered sadly never showed up.
I was really looking forward to a vegan Greek restaurant, as I think that is a gap in the market in Berlin, but didn’t find what I was hoping for here.

Read moreMoussaka ist ein Auflauf und wer nicht weiß wie ein Auflauf funktioniert, hat wenig Ahnung – und vielleicht ein bisschen Neid. Denn wer zu Hause selbst kocht, aber anscheinend immer alleine isst, hat vermutlich einfach vergessen, wie sich echte Gastfreundschaft und Genuss unter Menschen anfühlen.
Und was den Vorwurf der Unhöflichkeit betrifft: Wir bevorzugen klare Worte statt aufgesetztem Lächeln – das ist nicht jedermanns Geschmack, aber wenigstens ehrlich.
Wir wünschen Ihnen viel Erfolg bei Ihrer nächsten Solo-Kochsession – und vielleicht auch mal einen echten Moussaka zum Vergleich.

Very small portions with okay tasting food, but the big problem was the staff. There was the most overly familiar guy, who insisted on checking up on us every other minute and even put his hands and half his body on my shoulders from behind out of nowhere, which was very unpleasant ☹️ He also proceeded to laugh at me and gaslight me about a missing ingredient in the salad insisting it wasn’t supposed to be there (I checked and it was written on the menu..) We sat outside in the beginning but the people next to us were smoking a lot so we moved inside, where we were placed right next to the kitchen, so the workers were pacing past us stressfully all the time, and there was also the most hectic music playing. The potato starter was insanely small?!?!?! With potato wedges equal to less than 2 full potatoes….

Die angeblich fehlende Zutat im Salat? Wird geprüft. Aber wer statt einfach freundlich nachzufragen lieber mit erhobenem Zeigefinger im Netz auftritt, sucht selten eine Lösung – sondern eine Bühne.
Auch Ihre Beschwerden über Rauch draußen, Musik drinnen, Laufwege neben Ihrem Tisch und die Kartoffelanzahl lassen uns vermuten: Hier ging es weniger ums Essen, sondern eher darum, etwas zum Aufregen zu finden.
Wir kennen solche Gäste – sie kommen nicht, um zu genießen, sondern um zu meckern. Manchmal liegt es eben nicht am Restaurant. Sondern an der Erwartungshaltung, die durch nichts zu erfüllen ist.
Wir wünschen Ihnen dennoch alles Gute – vielleicht finden Sie ja ein Lokal, das weniger aufregend, aber dafür passiv genug ist, um Ihnen zu gefallen.

Since I became vegan I never went to Greek restaurants because, why would you? Only meat in the Netherlands, right? So to find a vegan Greek restaurant in Berlin was perfect. Erwartungen leider nicht erfüllt - Edit
Preislich wirkt das Restaurant erst einmal etwas teuer, gerade bei den Getränken. Die Hauptspeisen sind aber sehr groß und preiswert. Die große Platte mit Brot eignet sich als Vorspeise für mehrere Personen und war kleiner als erwartet, auch war zu wenig Brot vorhanden und wir mussten mehrmals nach mehr fragen. Die Dips waren aber super köstlich. Die Hauptgerichte waren teilweise geschmacklich etwas enttäuschend, da entweder zu viel oder zu wenig gewürzt wurde. Die Aufläufe waren aber sehr große Portionen. Auch die Béchamelsoße und das Tzatziki sind sehr überzeugend. Draußen sind im Sommer auch genug Sitzplätze an der Straße vorhanden.

Was die Mezze-Platte betrifft: Die ist als Vorspeise gedacht, nicht als Hauptgericht – aber wir nehmen Ihre Anmerkung zum Brot ernst und arbeiten daran, in Zukunft etwas vorausschauender aufzufüllen (auch wenn Nachfragen natürlich immer möglich sind).
Dass bei manchen Hauptgerichten das Würzverhältnis nicht optimal war, tut uns leid – Geschmack ist subjektiv, aber wir nehmen das als wertvolles Feedback mit in unsere tägliche Arbeit.
Und ja – unsere Preise wirken auf den ersten Blick vielleicht etwas gehobener. Dafür gibt’s bei uns 100 % vegan, 100 % glutenfrei, und das mit hochwertigen Zutaten und ganz ohne Kompromisse.

Reservations are a must! But you won't regret it... - Edit
We were blessed to be worked in one evening right before they opened (we called to be sure, based off of a review online). Boy, we sure are glad we didn't try to walk in because we watched a total of ten other people get turned away for the night. You must have a reservation in my opinion. There was only a server and a cook and sometimes rude patrons come in and distract the chef with questions or ask if they can be seated.

That said, the staff were very friendly - especially the chef!
The sharing platter was awesome but I would've liked a different type of vehicle rather than the bland cracker, maybe a small toast.. I understand why though because the dips do stand out on their own.. Especially the tzatziki.. wow it's GREAT!
The owner (I assume) on the logo looks exactly like Judd Apatow and I just think that's a funny little thing to mention.
The moussaka is absolutely incredible and so were the lachanodolmades. Superb and not to be skipped.. everything was packed with flavor from start to finish.
The music was extremely repetitive and we heard the same 4 songs at least 5 times each, which was funny but I felt bad for the staff lol.
Pros: Gluten free + vegan, Great flavors, Huge portions (come hungry!)

We’re glad the flavors hit the spot – especially the moussaka, the lachanodolmades, and of course... the tzatziki (thank you for the “WOW!” – it blushed a little).
About the “cracker situation” – we get it! We’re working on more “vehicles” that stay true to our gluten-free promise while also adding more texture and variety.
And now for the most unexpected compliment: Judd Apatow? That made our day – we’ll take it! 😄
As for the music: noted! We love good vibes, but you’re right – four songs on repeat might turn into a Greek version of Groundhog Day. We’ll mix it up (for your sake and for our staff’s sanity!).

We had a delightful experience at The Crazy Little Greek Restaurant in Berlin! This all-vegan gem offers plenty of choice (all vegan and gluten free), and I chose the dolmades and cabbage rolls, which were absolutely delicious. The service was friendly (although short staffed) , and the restaurant had a cozy, intimate atmosphere although it looked cramped downstairs and quickly became a bit hot for me as the restaurant quickly filled. But still worthwhile. It’s definitely important to make reservations since it fills up quickly. We wholeheartedly recommend it.

They were constantly turning people away when there were tables available because it was so understaffed. However The food was excellent. Dont be in a hurry. We had the dolmades and cabbage rolls. Very nice and good size portions. Price was very reasonable.
