Erwartungen leider nicht erfüllt - Edit
Preislich wirkt das Restaurant erst einmal etwas teuer, gerade bei den Getränken. Die Hauptspeisen sind aber sehr groß und preiswert. Die große Platte mit Brot eignet sich als Vorspeise für mehrere Personen und war kleiner als erwartet, auch war zu wenig Brot vorhanden und wir mussten mehrmals nach mehr fragen. Die Dips waren aber super köstlich. Die Hauptgerichte waren teilweise geschmacklich etwas enttäuschend, da entweder zu viel oder zu wenig gewürzt wurde. Die Aufläufe waren aber sehr große Portionen. Auch die Béchamelsoße und das Tzatziki sind sehr überzeugend. Draußen sind im Sommer auch genug Sitzplätze an der Straße vorhanden.

Reservations are a must! But you won't regret it... - Edit
We were blessed to be worked in one evening right before they opened (we called to be sure, based off of a review online). Boy, we sure are glad we didn't try to walk in because we watched a total of ten other people get turned away for the night. You must have a reservation in my opinion. There was only a server and a cook and sometimes rude patrons come in and distract the chef with questions or ask if they can be seated.
Read moreThe poor server was completely overwhelmed and had to be reminded of things multiple times, which is understandable. But because the area is so tight and cramped, it makes for a more frustrating experience as a customer.
That said, the staff were very friendly - especially the chef!
The sharing platter was awesome but I would've liked a different type of vehicle rather than the bland cracker, maybe a small toast.. I understand why though because the dips do stand out on their own.. Especially the tzatziki.. wow it's GREAT!
The owner (I assume) on the logo looks exactly like Judd Apatow and I just think that's a funny little thing to mention.
The moussaka is absolutely incredible and so were the lachanodolmades. Superb and not to be skipped.. everything was packed with flavor from start to finish.
The music was extremely repetitive and we heard the same 4 songs at least 5 times each, which was funny but I felt bad for the staff lol.
Pros: Gluten free + vegan, Great flavors, Huge portions (come hungry!)
Cons: Very slow service, Uncomfortably hot / close upstairs seating, Repetitive music (same 4 songs)

We had a delightful experience at The Crazy Little Greek Restaurant in Berlin! This all-vegan gem offers plenty of choice (all vegan and gluten free), and I chose the dolmades and cabbage rolls, which were absolutely delicious. The service was friendly (although short staffed) , and the restaurant had a cozy, intimate atmosphere although it looked cramped downstairs and quickly became a bit hot for me as the restaurant quickly filled. But still worthwhile. It’s definitely important to make reservations since it fills up quickly. We wholeheartedly recommend it.

They were constantly turning people away when there were tables available because it was so understaffed. However The food was excellent. Dont be in a hurry. We had the dolmades and cabbage rolls. We read the reviews which indicated it was top rated and so our hopes were high but unfortunately the expectation was not met. Looked to be a cute little restaurant tucked away but the reality was uncomfortable seating upstairs and freezing downstairs. There was a long wait for food which did not come out together, we were left waiting for cutlery and the food that should have been hot was barely room temperature. The mezze was over priced for what it was and was a mix of incredibly tasty with some dips being bland. The owner was intrusive but welcoming and they seemed understaffed which made the service quite poor. Overall, the food was ok, but poor experience and overpriced compared to other eats we've found in the area.

Dit restaurant was een schot in de roos. Een volledig vegan Grieks restaurant, kan het nog beter? We kozen voor de pastizio als hoofdgerecht en enkele spreads als voorgerecht. Beiden waren erg lekker. De ober was ook erg vriendelijk. Als ik ooit terug naar Berlijn kom, zal ik hier zeker weer komen eten.

Ein Muss für Alle!!! - Edit
Schon länger wollte ich "the crazy little Greek" probieren, heute habe ich es endlich geschafft. Ein absoluter Ausnahme-Grieche, sehr lecker und alles ganz wunderbar harmonisch auf einander abgestimmt. Obwohl rein veganer Küche haben wir die typische Fleischlast kein bisschen vermisst, ganz im Gegenteil sogar. Dazu hat uns der Chef am Ende noch sehr überzeugend ans Herz gelegt, sein Moussaka zu probieren und uns diese Leckerei noch kostenfrei kredenzt. Man spürt einfach die Liebe und ein Besuch können wir nur jedem empfehlen. Uns wird man nun definitiv öfters dort antreffen. Danke Nikos

Einfach nur wow! - Edit
Wir waren gestern da und haben uns ein 3-Gänge-Menü gegönnt. Die Weinblätter als Vorspeise mit dem Tzatziki waren ein Gedicht, die Hirsebällchen ebenfalls super abgeschmeckt und lecker. Als Hauptspeise hatten wir die Moussaka und die Kohlrouladen, die uns auch voll überzeugt haben. Als Nachtisch haben wir uns den Joghurt geteilt, von dem wir am liebsten einen ganzen Eimer voll bestellt hätten.

The Crazy Little Greek - Edit
I had a good experience here but my expectations were a little higher than what we got. We had the mezze sharing platter and we liked all the dishes but we weren't full which we had expected. Maybe that was the sign that we should have gotten dessert but we didn't. Next time I'm excited to get both a dessert and a main dish!

Das Essen war ganz in Ordnung. Für die Preise (ca. 18 Euro pro Hauptgericht) aber zu kleine Portionen und nicht lecker genug. Normalerweise werde ich immer satt aber dieses Mal war es tatsächlich etwas zu wenig. Wir hatten Hirsebällchen (sind keine Bällchen sondern kleine frittierte Fladen), Moussaka und gefüllte Paprika.

We had the sharing platter and we loved all items (9 items). The bread was too salty and tasted a bit burned though. We told them, and I think all visitors should tell them so that they will change the bread a bit😄

Food was good and it was interesting to eat in a different way and taste new flavours.

The seating was not so good, tall chairs low table at the bar, not much room for comfort.
Some of the food was too salty, some was packed with too much saturated fats, and many of the crackers was burnt.
We ordered some water to go with other beverage, the bottle of water ended up costing 6.5 euro, a bit cheeky.
The person working the kitchen was also the dishwasher, in a crammed up small area, it all had to be done. So the waiting to be served was unnecessarily long, for food that was prepared earlier in the day.
Music was also quite loud.
However I am prepared to come back another time to try again :)

Der Laden ist so klein und eng aber die Atmosphäre ist der Hammer und der Inhaber sowieso, egal wie viel los ist, jeder wird herzlich empfangen und Nikos erklärt mit viel Liebe jedes Detail. Wir hatten zu zweit die Mezzeplatte und fanden eins köstlicher als das andere! So toll, endlich mal ein griechischer Laden der nicht einfach die üblichen Fleischgerichte in vegan nachbastelt sondern auch traditionelle vegane (Fasten)Speisen anbietet. Nicht ganz günstig aber wir haben jeden € gerne da gelassen und genossen.

Very good home-made Greek vegan and gluten-free food, but unfortunately very poor seating. Tiny, crowded, loud, overheated, and you sit on low chairs with high stools.

First of: so happy to see country-specific food which is vegan AND glutenfree with no exception.
Read moreBut getting into the restaurant is extremely difficult, that's why we were seated directly under the stairs with little headspace.
The waiter was friendly & caring, but also touchy without consent.
The millet balls were something else, the tzatziki tasted sooooo good, but the main dishes were super small for the price of 18€.
If a mezze bar is your vibe, then that's your place! But if you're reaaaaally hungry & not wealthy as heck, you might not leave happy.
