food isn’t necessarily bad but definitely outrageously over priced. i ordered a burger (23 dollars?!??) and it says it’s served with pickles, but there was just a tiny one skewered on top. it’s not a bad restaurant but it’s nothing spectacular. i think they were too focused on the aesthetic and not the quality of food

Went on a Friday night with no wait. Wait staff was friendly and accommodating! Atmosphere was fun! I was impressed by the big menu and variety. I expected Philly prices, which is what we got but what I didn’t expect was the large portions! The meatball soup appetizer was big enough to be my meal! I brought enough leftovers home to enjoy the experience again! I’d definitely go back.

A truly unique atmosphere and the only vegan tiki drinks we have found in the city. All the food is so satisfying and comforting. We don't normally like eggplant, but the eggplant caprese may have converted us. The mac and cheese balls are favorites of ours seeing they are a rare vegan find.

More Kitsch than Quality - Edit
Overall I liked this place, don't get me wrong. Everything we had was good, but the price point is quite high compared to the portion size for most items. The general concept of the place is very fun but a little bit all over the place/distracting in person. I bet it would be great to attend a special event here. Given the wide range of other options in the area, it wouldn't be my top suggestion.

This is the best vegan restaurant I’ve tried so far in Philly. I had the argento sandwich which was incredible. It had vegan PROSCIUTTO which was something I’ve never seen before. Good atmosphere in the restaurant and unique drinks. 10/10

Worth a Visit. EARLY Pickup Hours. - Edit
Had a good sandwich here - The Norman Bates. Although they start seating at 5PM, Pickup/Delivery actually starts at 9AM. Nice looking restaurant. Hope to visit in the evening sometime.

Monster Vegan serves high-concept vegan dining. The horror movie concept is perfected with a sleek, eerie atmosphere. Mirrors line the restaurant with a hum of electric purple lights. Horror movie clips are displayed throughout. The Universal monster movie mashup hypnotized me as I waited for my food.

I was really impressed with the food here: all wins! Everything was prepared so well and the seitan was excellent (wings and in the Reuben sandwich). Probably the best vegan Reuben I've ever had! My friend's Caesar salad was delicious too (they aren't vegan but really loved their meal). The Halloween cocktail was perfect too with a variety of ingredients. Really cool space to eat and friendly service. Highly recommended!

Funky & Fun with Fabulous food! - Edit
Love monster vegan! Found myself wondering if it was actually vegan with the creamy smooth textures of their plant based cheeses. Had the mini lasagna - was amazing and the Philly cheesesteak with vegan ribeye. My husband had the Argento and dreams about that sandwich! The cocktails were also excellent with a tasty toasted marshmallow on top of mine.

100% vegan menu with comfort food and pasta. Drinks are fantastic, and staff is super friendly! I highly recommend the macaroni balls and wings for the appetizer and the gyro or one of the cheesesteak variants for the meal. Center city standard prices. They recently took off the 20% auto-grat, so make sure to tip your servers and bartenders well if you are a returning customer!

Absolutely delicious food, great mocktails, and super sweet staff. I got the General Tso’s Sandwich and the Excorist Fries. The fries were the best I’ve had in my life. The sandwich was delicious. Portion sizes were big, I have enough leftover for lunch tomorrow! The staff were amazing. Can’t wait to go back!

Read moreWe found this restaurant during our trip to Philadelphia. It had a nice atmosphere and delicious food.
We ordered the happy hour bruschetta as an appetizer — it was fresh and flavorful.
The BIRRIA cheesesteak and General Tso’s sandwich were great too.
Unfortunately, we were too full to try any desserts.
The service was fast and excellent. Our waitress was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive (but not overbearing).
We will definitely be back the next time we're in Philadelphia.
