Terrible service, tasty curry

The food was really good overall, but the service was really unpredictable. They kept sending over dishes that our table didn’t order while also bringing out one person’s dish almost half an hour before anyone else’s. I also think I found a piece of chicken in my vegan Penang curry and my husband ate it and said that he thought it was chicken, but then I couldn’t find any other pieces to show our server.

Pros: Food, Atmosphere, Friendly service

Cons: Possible meat contamination , Dishes came out at wildly different times, Incorrect dishes were sent to our table

Tasty Thai Tapas

Grandma’s Philly is a fairly new addition to the Philadelphia restaurant scene. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, especially refilling water glasses on a regular basis. The food came out staggered which allowed us to enjoy tasting each dish while fresh and hot from the kitchen.

We enjoyed everything we ordered. Each dish had lots of flavor. We prefer mild dishes, but even the mild ones had a little heat. The tofu satay appetizer and the pineapple fried rice with tofu were to top contenders in tonight’s meal.

We would definitely recommend this restaurant and will go back to try some of their other dishes.

Pros: Nice atmosphere and good service, Large variety of vegan options and easy to modify, Very tasty!

Cons: None!
