Really cool high end vegan dining with a fun twist. Really liked seeing all the monster movies and cool music. Wait staff was super friendly and gave me a desert for my birthday!

Fun place to get food - Edit
The names of the drinks and food were just as wonderful as the food itself. I had never had a vegan alfredo before so that was great to try. I also really enjoyed the death by stereo, essentially a mocha like drink but with cinnamon. The short films on the wall were fun to watch.

Solid vegan food - Edit
My wife and I ordered the Philly cheesesteak, and the Oreo and peanut butter beignets. We both agreed the cheesesteak was wonderful… as a blank canvas. If the seitan were marinated and sautéed or charred to get a smoky flavor, it would be perfect. If we order it next time, we’ll try to order with hot peppers or other veggies—perhaps broccoli rabe—in the mix. It’s a solid vegan option for a cheesesteak, but it could use more flavor.
Read moreBeignets were good. Not amazing. Just good. They’re tasty and we’ll order again if it’s late enough or we’re hungry enough.
Again, this place is good. We’ll definitely be back!

Great vibes and great selection of comfort food - Edit
6/30/23, Dinner. Vibes were pretty weird, with old school music and weird old-timey horror movie clips looping on a tv screen. Food was pretty good and quite filling. Most of the menu has fake meats (soy based chicken impossible meats, oyster mushroom calamari), which I'm not a big fan of, but overall the food was quite good! My non-vegan friend and I got truffle parmesan fries to share, which were delicious. The fries came with ketchup and some kind of horseradish dip, and we didn't really like the dip as much. I think my friend ordered the truffle alfredo with the cutlets side, which she really liked but couldn't finish, because it was so filling. She also ordered the non-alcoholic strawberry drink "Burial Ground," which she enjoyed. I ordered the VAMPIRO tacos, which came with fried "chicken" cutlets. I took some home as well because I got full quickly! I also ordered a very delicious and refreshing alcoholic coconutty slushie called "ORCA: Terror beneath the surface." 😋 Enjoyable meal and vibes! Good, attentive service.

Apps: Bavarian pretzels were okay. Fries Mac & Cheese balls were AMAZING!! Soooo good. Definitely order those when you go!
Drink: Zombie Beach Party was very good. My partner got Beware of the Blob-arita, which was good but very sweet.
Mains: Beet and Buccatini pasta was good, but I would have liked a higher vegetable to pasta ratio. My partner got the Bánh mì, which he really enjoyed!

Amazing comfort food - Edit
The food here is absolutely delicious. Decor is fun and the staff is great. Highly recommended. We tried the General Tso's Chicken Sandwich, the Cheesesteak, the clams & linguini, the Caesar salad, and the truffle parmesan fries. It was really good. I would come back another time to try the dessert and the other dishes.

Neon 80s horror and tiki drinks - Edit
Visited this place a couple times while in town for PAX Unplugged. The drinks were great, the Mac and cheese balls Delicious, and the rigatoni alla vodka with added chickn cutlet was kind of amazing. Really dig the vibes of the place, too. Sandwiches seemed generally underwhelming so happy hour and pasta might be the way to go.

Vegan comfort food at its best - Edit
I had a vegan clam (mushroom) linguine, my husband had a truffle Alfredo pasta, and my son had a sandwich with seitan and lots of vegan goodness. We also tried the seitan wings. All so good! A casual and fun atmosphere filled with so much awesome vegan food.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Edit
Cool atmosphere. Macaroni cheese balls were good. Not as crazy about the Cronen burger, which had too much mayo/slaw and was very pricey for what it was. Fries were meh. Table enjoyed the beignet sundae more than I did but I guess I’m just a hater. Would return but probably try for happy hour prices.

Almost Perfect - Edit
I loved the spot and decor, our waitress was super nice
Read moreThe two apps we had were easily five stars. Meatball duo and pretzel.
The cheese steak was just okay. Not a lot of flavor other than salt.
I would totally go back and be super happy, I'd just skip the cheese steak.

OK the atmosphere and ambiance here is AMAZEBALLS! It's kinda chic and upscale and also kinda creepy and horror vibes.
Read moreWe had the due of meatballs and the Bavarian pretzels to start. The meatballs were fabulous and the pretzels were very good.
We shared a cheeseteak hoagie which was OK. It wasn't very flavourful tbh.
I also had the Halloween the night he came home drink which was good and had a toasted dandy 😋
I'd 100% come back and would order anything but the cheeseteak I think everything else is fabulous on this menu.
Vibe was SO cool.

Worst experience - Edit
The food was decent, but the service was atrocious. We arrived at 8 pm and sat at the bar. It wasn't busy, we tried to order drinks twice but the server either ignored us or took out order and forgot about it. We finally got our drinks and ordered food...but the server never checked on us once. Really frustrating experience.

Super cool atmosphere - worth visiting for that alone.
Read moreGot the Cronnen burger (impossible patty). It is decent but not amazing/memorable. I expect to pay that price for house-made proteins, not for an impossible burger.

General Tso's Wings Make Me Long to Return! - Edit
We didn't have the opportunity to visit the restaurant in person but enjoyed a late delivery dinner while staying in Philly's Old City.
Read moreThe delivery service was a breeze--timely and the order was accurate.
Love, love, love the food! General Tso's wings-YUM-I could have made a meal of these! Hubby devoured his shaved seitan cheesesteak & raved about it. My Caesar salad was crisp and fresh and the dressing was briny but not overly salty. Added oyster mushroom calamari to the salad, as I'd read other reviewers mention the calamari. The texture was spot on, but the flavor was a bit too salty for me.
Overall, this takeout was our best vegan meal during our long weekend in Philly--highly recommend!
Pros: excellent food, delivery service

Highly recommend!

Coolest atmosphere, awesome takes on classic dishes - Edit
Weird Halloween vibe (in the best way) with projections of B horror movies all over the walls which is super fun! Loved the cheesesteak I got here and their calamari stunned me with how flavorful and reminiscent it was of a traditional version.

Good food, great mocktails - Edit
Visited with my partner and we really enjoyed both the food and the mocktails, which were very fruity and delicious (like us). I only took one star off because the portions aren't quite as big as I expected them to be. But we did really enjoy the panzotti, bruschetta, and general tso's tacos! Service was a bit slow but I think they were low on staff that night, and everyone was very kind and helpful regardless.

Wings - Edit
This place has such a fun vibe! Boyfriend and I both really liked the vegan wings and would definitely order them again. The spaghetti was unimpressive so I would advise against that and pick something else. The Cthulhu burger was okay but a LOT of food (plus a generous serving of fries) so be prepared for a big meal and maybe skip the appetizers if you order it. Personally, I would just order wings instead of an entree next time because those were so good!

Love me a good theme restaurant - Edit
I really enjoyed this restaurant experience. Everything was so well executed and the theme was present in everything from the decorations, to the menu, to the deadpan staff (but still nice staff). I felt like the portions were pretty monster as well, they were big and I had breakfast for the day after. It is these kind of vegan places that get me really excited. However, it is not cheap, but I would say a visit is worth the money.

prob wouldn't go back - Edit
i love the concept but sadly i wouldn't say this is one of my fav vegan spots in philly. i've been twice and both times have been underwhelming. i got the penne vodka and linguine and clams and found the dishes to be very salty, kinda small portions, and nothing standout really. the pasta dishes are $20 each which feels a bit steep for what you're really getting. i also don't love that the only added protein options you can do is impossible meat type stuff, nothing more organic or raw which is typically what i lean towards more. but it is a cute place and i'm glad i tried it!
