Amazing hidden gem in Hanoi - Edit
One of the best places to eat in Hanoi. A hidden gem that you could easily miss, you have to find the shop front on the main Street which has chairs facing out and a bell to ring to the restaurant. You then go down an alley and upstairs into the restaurant. You will be given so much food, and it will be super fresh and delicious, so go hungry and you will leave very full! Two of us went and we ordered one main and one veg between us, you then get salad, soup, rice, and another protein to go with this.

Went here tonight. We ordered two meals, they gave us three extra meals all complimentary. They do this with everyone! Everything was extremely cheap too! It took us by surprise. And of course the food was delicious. I loved the tofu & soup the most! & they also have a really inspiring story.

The complimentary rice, tofu, soup and salad of undressed fresh herbs, bean sprouts is so generous.
I ate there three times in a week and each dish I ordered was cooked to order and very tasty.
William, the owner, is friendly and the two women cooks are warm, generous and so friendly.
The menu items are more expensive than many vegan eateries, but the extras fully balance this out.
I’d go often if I lived in the area.

We ordered the fresh spring rolls, fried chicken and fried prawns however my favourite dish was the tofu that came with our meal! Don’t order too much like we did because you get many side dishes complimentary with your meal. The owner and staff were very friendly and made sure you didn’t leave hungry!

All the food was good, owner was friendly and helped us understand how to eat it (which things to dip in which sauce etc). The vegan chicken stood out, so yummy. Also the apple juice was amazing. Portions were large and we ordered 3 extras (tofu in tomato sauce, fried spring rolls, banana flower) which were too much for two people lol but i really liked the tofu in tomato sauce and my husband liked the banana flower dish which had potatoes in a curry type seasoning. A little tricky to find as others have said.

This place was incredible. Kind of hard to find because you have to go into the building and walk through until you see a restaurant sign because it’s upstairs. Owner was so lovely and tops up your free food (rice, soup, lime sauce, salad) when it’s empty or I’m sure if you ask for it. Have been back multiple times now. He also gives you a mission statement about how his business aims to be a social enterprise helping poorer children. Also this is a vegan restaurant but he told me if people request meat he will serve it and the food is cooked in a seperate kitchen downstairs.

We had a wonderful experience after being led to our table by the owner. Having already read some reviews, we knew to order one dish to share and we did. Additionally we ordered a beer and a mango shake. Food started to arrive starting with a big bowl of rice then followed by tofu in a tomato sauce, a huge bowl of salad and a bowl of soup. There was plenty and we tucked in enjoying each part of the course. After a while another dish arrived (this was the one we ordered). The owner, William, noticing our confusion explained that the first lot of food was free - his gift to us and all his customers. Now, the food was delicious, plentiful and healthy, but William explained his story - from street boy to social entrepreneur. His generosity is remarkable! The cost for our dish and the drinks was £7. Everything else had been a gift from William and this is what he does. It’s all written on a page in the menu but typically we hadn’t read that page. We highly recommend this experience to all vegans. It’s such a change to have such an abundance of vegan food served by such a humble human being.

Read moreIf you see a room facing the street with chairs that looks like a ‘display case’ you’re in the right place! 😅😂 Up on the wall above the heads of where you sit is a doorbell to press to have someone come get you. Then they will lead you through the alleyway upstairs to this hidden gem!
I cannot say enough good things about this place! The food was delicious and the owners are lovely! We were dying of heat and the owner kept adjusting the fans so they were blowing on us but not too closely. Was perfect 😍😍🥰
If you are not big eaters I’d honestly just order one thing fr the menu because they bring you out a big bowl of rice and big bowl of veggies to come with it! We got the rice and veggies to go as don’t like to waste food. They topped off our rice container as our leftovers didn’t fill the container.
I was surprised that even the cabbage soup had delicious flavours! Honestly don’t think you can go wrong here. 🫶🌱💚

Amazing service, enormous portions! Be careful! If you order 1 dish from the menu you will always get extra portion of rice, huge salad, portion of tofu and a soup 😅😅😅 we don’t like to waste so we ate it all and then the owner came with second portions 😅 this food deserves extra tips for sure.
