So delicious and wholesome - Edit
Super good vegan food and the people are lovely, showing you the best way to eat the free dishes they bring out if you’ve not been before (which are *super* delicious). Everything was mega tasty and a great opportunity to try some new interesting food.

Lovely experience - Edit
The smiles on all the staff members faces made it a nice start, fully vegan menu, we ordered 3 dishes but got a lot of dishes for free. Friendly hospitality and they also have a non veg spot next door which is perfect if you have non vegan friends.

Support this amazing business. - Edit
Completely vegan menu including mock meats. Traditional Vietnamese food. Freebies included and a real taste of culture. Most importantly, the owner donates profits from the restaurant to help Vietnamese children in poverty. This is a reason to visit above anything else.

I don't get the hype - Edit
Food was okay or maybe average, definitely nothing special. Everything is a bit chaotic and the vibe is not very nice. I feel like everyone gives good reviews because of the free side dishes, but not worth it imo

Just go! The experience is awesome. The owner is lovely with a beauitfuk story. They keep bringing the food! We had a great meal, very pure and fresh. The atmosphere in the restaurant is chaotic, but in a nicer and comical way.

A must for any vegan - Edit
A must for any vegan in Hanoi. The hospitality is first class and the food is incredible. You can choose vegan port, chicken, beef, an array of Vietnamese vegan foods. Plus they bring out lots of free food like rice, tofu, salad, a delicious soup. We felt incredibly spoilt here.

Loved it! - Edit
If you're looking for a no-frills but delicious homestyle meal in the center of Hanoi, look no further! This place was amazing. We were just looking for a light meal. Literally ordered three things only—spring rolls, a main dish, and stir-fried morning glory—but they kept bringing us more! Food was simple yet so tasty. They even showed us how to incorporate the bowl of herbs/greens into the meal. Had we had more time in Hanoi we would've definitely come back!

Make this your first Meal in Hanoi - Edit
Amazing food, amazing people.
Read moreWe came here dinner on our last night of 3 in Hanoi. I wish we came sooner.
They have a separate vegan menu so you can order with confidence. Everything was great.
We ordered the Vegan Ribs, vegan chicken and fried spring rolls.
On top of that, they give you complimentary tofu, salad, rice and a BEAUTIFUL broth garnish (citrusy, lightly spicy and a little salty, sooooooo good!).
The story behind the restaurant is also lovely and the profits go to a good cause.
Also they DO take card payment.
Definitely the best meal we had in Vietnam during our 2 weeks stay!
Pros: Great food, Great cause and story , Great price

Great value for money - Edit
Although the order portions are quite small you leave absolutely stuffed with all the additional items they give. The free tomato tofu was delicious and they topped this up for us along with the rice. Definitely a must visit!

Ristorantino imperdibile se sei ad Hanoi e vuoi vivere una vera esperienza vietnamita.
Read moreIl cibo è molto saporito e buonissimo, tutto vegetale!
Consiglio di ordinare massimo uno o due piatti perché poi vi verranno serviti anche altre pietanze come tofu, riso, insalata e salse.
Davvero un posto eccellente! ✨

Delicious vegan food with great ethos - Edit
To pay 120 ish for a dish which we split between 2 and then be given so many side dishes is not only good value for money but also delicious and exciting! The dishes were all so tasty and different too, and the waiter kept topping us up with seconds too which was very kind. Highly recommend! We got the vegan sweet and sour ribs and they were 10/10!

Not fully vegan! - Edit
They are not fully vegan. We saw animal prawns being served next to us (we asked to confirm). For me that's a let down because I value ethically coherent businesses.
Read moreThe food was good but not outstanding, but the price is expensive for Vietnam. 120k for a vegan beef or vegan crab dish, which is expensive compared to very good quality vegan buffets we've been to, ranging from 45k to 90k per person.
80k for boiled morning glory (boiled greens), which is overwhelmingly expensive for a plain vegetable dish.
The experience is as described in other comments. Not a fan of the owner feeding you, and we were stopped to take a picture of the owner's history (which is a real achievement and only has good will) which felt a bit awkward.
For me it's not worth the hype. I think all the free dishes try to make up for the expensive prices of the menu and you end up really full but without choosing all the dishes. Food waste is also concerned since all tables leave at least some rice, or some side dishes.

Pros: Soup side dish was very tasty, Location is very centric
Cons: Too many free side dishes = food waste, Not fully vegan, Expensive

Wonderful tasty and filling food in the old quarter - Edit
We went to Katze for our first meal in Vietnam and the food has certainly set a high bar!
Read moreWe ordered spring rolls, papaya salad, vegan chicken, fried aubergines and all were delicious. Amazingly we were also given a huge bowl of rice and a tofu tomato dish along with a really fresh and crunchy salad as a starter for free. And offered top ups along the course of the meal on these!
Then to end a complementary soup with seasonal greens was also provided!
We were absolutely stuffed by the end of the meal but it was truly delicious!
Love the unassuming style here - it’s all about the food and the people running the place are all so lovely.
Definitely give it a go!

Simply incredible, the buzz is real folks! - Edit
This was the one place we had to try after reading the reviews on Google and happy cow, but nothing prepared me for how incredible this place is! 3 of us are vegan chefs and I am very hard to please back home but Williams restaurant Katze, was some of the best food we have eaten. We ordered 2 portions of nem between 5 of us and a main each but food just kept coming it was so good great selection it was hard to choose! Great wine selection absolutely amazing service and exceptional value. William gives you his back story which was incredible he was a street kid who was given an opportunity and he took it, he has katze and works as a grab driver too for income and donates every year to orphaned kids it’s really incredible. I totally recommend if you are in Hanoi go and support this restaurant, and if you’re not in Hanoi get yourself over (we did) you will not be disappointed. It’s places like this that give us vegans the ability to travel and eat great quality food 💚

Very tasty vegan extravaganza - Edit
My partner and my experience here was excellent! We ordered 4 dishes and ended up receiving many more - all were delish. My favourite meal was the BBQ chicken, as well as the spring rolls. All up our meal cost 335k, which is a bit pricier than other options - however, given the volume of food, I felt it was quite reasonable. The owner also had quite a wholesome story, and delivered great service, showing us how each dish was eaten.

It's a local restaurant, which serves only vegan food. The owner is really nice and in the end you'll get a letter, in which he explain his story. The food is really good and you will get more, than you ordered.
