Nice place - Edit
Every time we're in Hanoi, we visit the restaurant. The dishes that are served as sides are really delicious. Actually, I prefer them to the dishes on the menu.

Katze, Hanoi - Edit
Took a bit of my head around all the different dishes brought to me that I didn't order. I agree with the previous reviewer that it feels odd the way that the boss's story is presented at bill time. That is in addition to the story already being mounted on the wall. The story also states they are a social enterprise. I didn't see any indication of anything to justify/validate the claim of being a social enterprise. I regret I couldn't help but wonder if their business model is based on assertive maximisation of tips. I'd respectfully be delighted to be proven wrong.
Read moreIts inexpensive by Western standards, pricey compared to other places I tried in Hanoi.

Not Great - Edit
We ordered three items that were mediocre at best. Yes they give you “free” stuff, but our meal ended up being more expensive than other places. The owner’s life story was not printed in the menu but rather presented to us along with the bill which felt manipulative. The entrance is easier to find if you approach it head on from the puppet theater street.

Love This Place !!! - Edit
I was really impressed with this restaurant! The staff, including the owner, were incredibly attentive and took the time to explain everything clearly. They even offered complimentary food and kept checking if we’d like more, which made us feel so well taken care of. This is definitely one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve had!

Exceptional Service and Food - Edit
You get a whole meal for free as a treat. I was by myself and declined the rest of the free starter, bc it just would have been too much. I ordered the banana flower salad which was delicious. Also the story of the owner is heartwarming and it feels good to support a great cause. 10/10 recommend and will come again.

What an amazing place! - Edit
Best food so far in Hanoi. It’s a bit hard to find up a small alleyway but worth persistence. The interior is simple and friendly. We were given an array of small plates of food based around tofu in tomato sauce at no cost. That’s a first for us. And then the main courses came with abundant fresh green herbs which were refilled as much as we liked. All dishes were superb. Freshly made and delicious.
Read moreThe owner had quite a story of how he grew up and his philosophy which is worth learning. Overall one of the best eating experiences we’ve ever had and if you look for genuine and honestly great food then give this a try.

Klare Empfehlung! - Edit
Das Restaurant ist ein bisschen versteckt. Das Essen war unglaublich lecker. Ein Gericht pro Person reicht völlig, da man viele zusätzliche Beilagen kostenlos dazu bekommt.

Alright - Edit
It was just alright. I wasn't impressed with the food, but the lady who taught me how to make spring rolls was truly one of the three people who was actually nice and kind during my stay in Hanoi.

Wholesome and delicious dining experience. - Edit
Great food, great service, and the owners story is beautiful, raising awareness for young homelessness and trying to make a positive impact. I was given 3 dishes for free and he taught me how to make fresh spring rolls. Great experience, well worth a visit.

Don't miss this experience. - Edit
Don't miss this experience. The Restaurant ist hard to find, only a narrow door takes you from the street to it, but the warm and humble atmosphere is impacting and the owners story heard breaking.
Read moreOnly be careful to not order too much, just only because the price is low. You get more than enough, very well prepared and they offer a protein for free (!!!!).
The only point that I struggles a bit with is that they offer vegan meat, chicken and porc in the menue, but would be a reference to convince all non vegetarian to try their food.
Overall I loved it and definitely would recommend it.
Pros: Owner driven, Very good food, Warm atmosphere
Cons: Vegan reference to meat, chicken, etc

They just kept coming. And coming. - Edit
The entrance is easy to miss it's just a doorway which leads into the restaurant. A very popular place. We ordered 3 dishes - Vegetable stir fry, a vegan beef dish and spring rolls. Ended up with 5 more for free. A man fed my partner rice and tofu. A woman showed me how to make summer rolls. The man made us soup. They kept checking if we wanted more for free. It was insane. We were seated with a lovely German lady which made the experience all the more special. A fantastic dining experience unlike anything else. Come hungry. 6 stars out of 5.

Great restaurant to support. Owners are amazing and food is really good, but don’t order too much because they bring you a bunch of free things and it’s a lot! The fried spring rolls are the best!

Wonderful experience - Edit
The whole experience was amazing! We ordered spring rolls, the vegan prawn in garlic sauce and the vegan tuna but were surprised when we got one dish after the other before even receiving what we've ordered. The owner just gave us tofu in tomato sauce and summer rolls for free and were even asked if we wanted more (on the house!). In the end we were so stuffed but so happy with the quality and taste of everything. The owner was a very sweet man who gave us his heartwarming story to read.

Wonderful owner and the food just keeps coming - Edit
The owner has a beautiful story as to how the restaurant came to be and how he became an entrepreneur. Please take the time to listen and read his story card.
Read moreRead the menu so you're not confused when a bunch of side dishes start coming out.
They are listed on the first page of the menu and they are all free.
You order 1 starter, 3 vegan mains which could be vegan chicken, beef, pork, sausage or seafood. We're not a fan of vegan seafood so we opted for the sausage -which was tastier than it looked lol
Overall each dish was awesome, nothing was a letdown. The server will show you how to eat everything properly so make sure to let them do what they do best.
Please keep supporting this place!
