The best vegan portuguese food - Edit
This was the first good vegan restaurant that opened in Lisbon, and it's still a must. To me, this restaurant is important for those who want to try portuguese food but don't eat animal products. And for portuguese vegans who miss portuguese food. Dishes such as the codfish patties, bulhão-pato mushrooms, francesinha and prego sandwich...you can really get the idea of the original traditional dish. Of course it's not exactly the same, but it's the best vegan version you can find, and to be honest, I even prefer this version than the original! To finish the meal, you have the "leite de creme" similar to creme burlee but lighter, with a sugar crust. So good! The restaurant is quite small and is usually full, so try to book it. The staff is very nice.

Nothing special - Edit
We had high expectations, we knew about the line if you don't book so we wanted to have a good dinner in Lisboa. I had to say, nothing special or we just chose the worst dishes. The 'bacalau croquettes' were really good but small. The mushrooms were just like boiled mushrooms flavourless, I can make at home not paying 8€! And the waiter suggest us like a typical dish in vegan version. The seitan steak a la portoguese was chewy, really hard to finish and neither the flavour was so special. The francesinha was ok but we tried better in Porto, so take it just if you don't go to Porto after. The dessert was good. I can say, the atmosphere is good, the location as well, I liked the genderless toilet choice and the service, but the food is really nothing special, go to O Botanista instead! For italians a seitan like that is not edible. But I repeat, maybe I chose the worst dishes.
Read moreSpeaking about the price, it's the expensiest place we tried in Lisboa.
Maybe it's better at lunch.
Pros: All vegan, Good atmosphere , Genderless toilet
Cons: Nothing special food, The worst seitan, Expensive

Food so good, we went 2 nights in a row! - Edit
The food was amazing! The first night we went my husband got the soup special and we both got a seitan steak with chips, which was delicious. The second night we went we both got the traditional, Francesinha. It was amazing! My husband tried their creme brulee and I got the oreo peanut butter pie. Both were great!

Memorable meal. - Edit
Had lunch here today, ordered the daily special. It was a spinach pasta dish with mushrooms and tomatoes. It was heavenly. One of the best pasta dishes I've eaten. We happened to be visiting a museum nearby and didn't have a reservation so we waited. Service was friendly and efficient. If we happen to be nearby we'll eat there again.

Genuine Portuguese food - Edit
The mélancolique sardine tasted REALLY fishy - good option for anyone who likes seafood! The seitan steak was really good, sauces distinctively Portuguese (and the potatoes were perfectly crispy!!!) and the crème brûlée and oreo cake were both fantastic!!!! The only reason this is a 4 star is because I never liked fish 😂 my fault though for ordering a fish dish! It's a very Portugal thing though! And sardines are huge there.
