Best vegan food in Lisbon - Edit
Highly recommend going to Ao 26. The food is great and inventive, trying to bring a Portuguese twist to vegan food (something I have seen failing over and over in multiple other restaurants).
Read moreThe balance of flavours is great in every dish (go on, get all the elements of a dish, load your fork and try it all with a mouthful, it's great!!).
Great taste and presentation, really good service and a nice atmosphere.
I shall be going there every time I'm in Lisbon

Relaxed vibe, interesting and yummy food - Edit
Really lovely restaurant with a great vibe, close to the centre of Lisbon. I would recommend the mushroom dish, which includes tastiest carrot caviar (can't remember the name of the dish) and the chocolate and hazelnut moose... which was AMAZING! The cocktails are also 6 euro each and sooooo good!

Must try in Lisbon. Meals are all creative, inspired by traditional Portuguese food but with a modern touch and not to heavy.

A place to absolutely go - Edit
Located in a narrow street, this restaurant is definitely a place to go! The dishes on the menu are not too expensive and well thought. I was going for a seitan but I finally took the chef's suggestion which was sweet potatoes gnocchi with salad, pesto, vegan cheese, tomato sauce, and some minestrone vegetables. A real pleasure ! I also did enjoy the homemade lemonade 🥤

I went for lunch today and tried the chef’s special, which was a Vietnamese mushroom curry. I had a dry white wine with it, and it was the best meal I’ve had in a very long time. Absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this place.

Creative and delicious - Edit
It was a really nice change to have some creative vegan options! AO 26 had a number of dishes that seemed to be vegan versions of traditional Portuguese meals. I ordered a starter and main and both were delicious, my only regret was that I was too full for dessert.

Great food and service - Edit
Very cosy and well decorated restaurant, I had Cuttlefish with home-made mayo for starter which was delicious. Then I took a Francesinha, even though I can't make any comparison since it's a traditional dish, I loved the taste of the spicy sauce and soy meat inside. Definitely recommended.

Very impressed! - Edit
Being Portuguese living in London I have dealt with the difficulty of finding vegan food in Lisbon. Fortunately it seems like this has changed in the past 2 years. The francesinha was fresh and delicious! The bifana sublime as well and the chocolate and peanut tart was to die for. It's also beautifully decorated and impressive if you go on a date. I'd suggest to book as it gets busy very easily.

Sehr guets Restaurant - Edit
