Delicious Fishy Classics! - Edit
First of all, I am thankful to all the previous reviewers who recommended against ordering the francesina & getting the fish soup instead. It was one of the best things I have ever tried in my life! The flavors were very well developed, and it was well worth the price! The fish rice dish was also great, but if you had to go with just one dish, then do the soup!
Read moreTheir cheese board was also great (but a bit pricey) and they don't give you much bread. The sardines were also quite interesting and a creative reinterpretation of the dish. Service was great, and drinks were also quite creative! It was beautiful to see a vegan restaurant so packed with different people.
Absolutely fantastic food, and one of the highlights of my trip there!
Pros: fancy but comfortable, great creative dishes, varied menu
Cons: some things seem overpriced, you need a reservation for sure!

A must visit - Edit
Our tour guide took us here and wow the food was fantastic as was the atmosphere. Both our dishes were incredible. TOFU À LAGAREIRO had delicious greens and the wrapped tofu was so good with the sauce. FRANCESINHA is like a lasagna and delicious. Would have liked it with some more spice. PEANUT & CHOCOLATE PIE our final item was to die for, amazing peanut butter and chocolate.

A fantastic culinary experience! - Edit
We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! The appetizers and main courses were incredibly creative and flavorful, and the service was outstanding. To top it all off, the desserts were among the most delicious we’ve ever had.

Expected more - Edit
I wish I could give more than (2-)3/5, but I felt quite dissapointed. I had a dinner on a Friday evening, so the place was crowded and I had to wait for a table even though I had a reservation (which I can still understand). I ordered a portuguese starter mix (19 €), which was a collection of six small starters bread. Each dish was clearly ”mass produced” and just put in a small pot, without any decoration or plating (they also came a bit too quickly considering the number of guests at the time). The taste was okay, just a bit underwhelming for the most part. The bread was half-stale. Everything felt still okay until the dessert (creme brulee). I know it is supposed to be cold in the bottom, but this was half-frozen in the middle. I didn’t get a chance to point this out as the staff looked stressed and busy, so I just waited it to melt (it tasted still okay). Nobody asked if the food was good. By that point, I felt just ready to leave. The manager (?) looked just bothered/bored when I asked for the bill. I don’t feel like coming back, which is a pity as there were many interesting dishes on the menu.

Excellent, thoughtfully prepared food. - Edit
Loved our dining experience, and I highly recommend!
Read moreThe atmosphere was clean and modern, with a floor to ceiling wall of windows open to a serene but sparse view. Attentive (but not fussy) service, and we never felt rushed, even with a full dining room.
The food was prepared with care, and the presentation was simple yet elegant. We loved all the food we ordered, and the seitan steak was a standout!
Dessert is absolutely not to be missed (the orange and cardamom crème brûlée and the peanut and chocolate pie were pure heaven!).
Lovely wine and cocktail choices, and their natural sodas were the best I have ever tasted.
Prices are excellent for this quality! For roughy 96 Euros (before adding a tip), the 3 of us had appetizers, main courses, drinks, and desserts.
They close from 6-7pm, and we were the first to be seated for a 7pm reservation. Do make a reservation as this place was quickly packed!

Don’t miss this experience! - Edit
26 Vegan Food Project has been a highlight of our trip to Lisbon. Every part of the meal was thoughtfully crafted with great attention to detail. It was thrilling to try creative vegan versions of Portuguese fish dishes, including octopus, sardines, and cuttlefish. The staff was attentive and the vibes were right.

Nice dinner with attentive staff - Edit
We were accommodated without reservation knowing we had short time at table. Worked out great to grab dinner as staff was attentive. Restaurant design is interesting with stone walls, windows and mirrors. Interesting take on food. Nice to have selection of entrees. Decent flavors yet not off the charts that one might expect at this price. Would still return.

The place has a great vibe and staff was very friendly. Food was okay but I wouldn’t say it was worth the money. I guess it’s good to try one but I would not come back.

Mixed feelings - Edit
There are some things excellent and some things lacking, would love to see more consistency in creativity and quality. Maybe my expectations were set too high. The overall ambience and environment of the restaurant was very nice and enjoyable. Two main disappointments were we chose a Portuguese sharing starter that sounded great but was very simple, eg bowls of mushrooms and not so wow, one of our mains was the traditional Portuguese Francesinha and it wasn't hot enough so that layers of the sliced vegan cheese hadn't melted and ruined the overall texture of the food. Still some good parts were the "Choco" frito and Ilheu.

The best meal I had in Lisbon! - Edit
I wish I could go back to try more. I regretted that we accidentally ordered so many deep fried foods, I think that I would have enjoyed it more if we didn’t. But everything we had was really tasty, the restaurant was beautiful, and the service was excellent. The entire menu was vegan versions of Portuguese classics.

Good but not perfect! - Edit
As refeições estavam bastante saborosas, porém como nem tudo é sobre isso, o serviço deixou ligeiramente a desejar (o staff não foi muito friendly) -- e isto pode ser um motivo de um não regresso.

Not worth the hype - Edit
It was probably one of the restaurants I was the most excited to go to, because I heard so many great comments about it. But I have to admit I was a bit disappointed... So I can't give it 5 stars.
Read moreThe staff weren't very friendly, the restaurant quite empty and the service very fast, but only because dishes were pre-made. The kitchen is open so you can hear them putting meals together quickly. One of my ravioli was still cold. It felt more like a fancy canteen than a popular restaurant. Maybe we chose a bad day (Wednesday lunch time)? Anyway, I wouldn't go back, especially since there are so many amazing vegan restaurants in Lisbon. It's not exactly like we would run out of options.
On a positive note, the cheese platter was delicious, especially their blue cheese. It would have been great to have better bread on the side though.

Nice ambience, lovely Port! Tucked away and hidden, the vibe here is great. Food really lovely too. Supreme "Bifana" was great, as was the mustardy sauce with it. Chocolate and peanut cake excellent. Lots of flavour, lots of thought gone into curation. Top stuff!

The Best in Lisbon - Edit
Hands down the best vegan seafood I ever had. I loved seafood and missed it for the last 10 years - this is outstanding. Fantastic food, most lovely service. If you are in Lissabon and don’t go here you absolutely miss out. It is fancy and charming, we came back once so far and will do it again. #Veganuary

We were glad we made reservations because many people came to the door to find out the restaurant was fully booked.
Read moreThe staff was alert and friendly. We had great food and delicious sangria. The entrees were all kinds of traditional Portuguese appetizers. The seitan steak was fantastic. Tofu and chips needed a bit of salt (the tofu, not the chips). For dessert, we had two cakes. We found the peanut and chocolate cake too salty. The cheesecake was okay. A good start to our five-day trip in Lisbon.

I'd been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and just wasn't as impressed as I thought I'd be. Everyone seems to be raving about this place and while it wasn't bad, I guess I expected more. I feel like their concept is pretty similar to Kong, but Kong does it better.

Great dinner - Edit
We were here two times and enjoyed it a lot. It’s a very nice location and food was great! The mixed starters plate and also the cheese board were outstanding. Everything else we ate was also great and I particularly liked the sparkling sangria (winter version). From the desserts, the peanut chocolate tarte was by far the best. Only thing that’s a bit off is that I don’t get why there are pictures of almost naked women in the toilet rooms.
