Vegan chic - Edit

The new location is much bigger and posher, however they have managed to keep prices on the same level.

Everything vegan and a little more upscale! - Edit
Lisbon has many great all-vegan spots, but this one feels just a little nicer. The interior is well thought out and beautifully designed. The food is innovative and comforting all at once. Our favorite item was the cheese board. It consisted of such a fun variety of flavors and textures. The "brie" was outstanding! The meals were good, but I'd say the appetizers stole the show. I ate the traditional Portuguese dish and my husband had the burger.

Upmarket prices but OK food - Edit
The setting is great, very clean and well designed however the food doesn't match the price or atmosphere.
Read moreWe ordered traditional Portuguese dishes but they did not meet expectations. For Portuguese food I would recommend Kong for the same food but cheaper.
The service was incredibly rushed and our mains arrived literally 10 seconds after our starters were taken away. There was no time to digest especially for the price you pay.
The portions are big but lack quality, the flavours are far too strong and have no nuance.
Steak was heavy and too much, and the sweet potato gratin is sweet enough for a dessert.
The francesinha was ok however if you don't enjoy smoked meats, or rubbery mushrooms this isn't for you (it wasn't for me).
Also don't order the white sangria (kiwi and pineapple) the flavours do not work together and taste off. Had many other great white sangrias in Lisbon!

Well presented delicious food - Edit
The food was well served and presented on a higher level. I appreciate the imitation of ‘traditional’ looking food. I had seitan stake with mustard sauce and layered sweet potato with spinach sauce. For started I had fried ‘cod fish’ which was really nice. My friend had sweet potato fries with garlic mayo sauce (so good) and the other friend octopus salad as a starter. For the dessert I had chocolate peanut cake and it was super nice!

Vegan food perfected! - Edit
We struggled to get a reservation. Don’t just walk in, any day of the week!
Read moreWe reserved a week early for our very last night in Lisbon, and our booking was at 9pm!!! We usually eat around 6,30.
Anyway, it was by far, one of the best vegan meals we have ever had.
They have replicated several traditional Portuguese dishes into vegan dishes. But magnificently flavoured and beautifully presented.
Portions are good sizes and well priced.
My only complaint is that because we had such a late booking, they had sold out of the daily special and a couple of other choices.
This meal was one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal.
Pros: All vegan, Interesting, Portuguese food., High quality food.
Cons: Ran out of choices due to late booking.

We really enjoyed our lunch at Vegan Food Project. The meals were really tasty, the sandwich was really huge and tasted wonderful. Also we had Cola Mate, we did not find Mate at other restaurants here in Lisbon and that was really nice to have! We would recommend to try this restaurant when in Lisbon!

Good food in a Portuguese style - Edit
They mostly serve tradishional Portuguese dishes, all very well veganized. I wouldn't rate it 5 stars because I've eaten yummier things, I found some tastes to be quite particular, not for everyone in my opinion. However I like their project.

We ordered the cheese platter. Every cheese was delicious and different. We also ordered one of the burgers and the seitan steak. They make their own seitan. All were fabulous. Their snickers pie and Portuguese cake were divine.
