Absolutely incredible.

Went two times within a week while visiting the area and had an incredible experience.

The chicken and waffles are the greatest thing on the menu followed by the french toast covered with the strawberry sauce and banana butter.

I loved this place and the environment. A great sign on the entrance stating EVERYONE IS WELCOME. I appreciate that.

Pros: Everything can be made vegan., Delicious, HUGE portions.

Cons: Can be busy on weekends in the evening.

Perfect vegan comfort food

When I want delicious greasy nonsense this is where I go. Haven’t disliked anything I’ve had on the menu. It’s not the healthiest spot but if you’re looking to veg out this is the right place

Pros: Affordable, Endless options

Cons: Has the vibe that makes non vegans hate vegans, waiter mansplanned what placenta is unprompted

Lots of options

Great diner fare, most explicitly vegan and all vegan-able. A bit of a greasy spoon but if that’s what you’re in the mood for you’ll be happy.

Endless Possibilities!

We visited on a Saturday evening, and the place was packed. Looking at the menu taped to the window outside, it was easy to see why. They offer literally dozens of vegan and vegetarian options, so there should be something for everybody. The only down side with have too many choices is there are too many choices. As a result, we ordered far too much food. In the end, we were able to finish most of it, and we found a home for what we couldn’t finish. Everything was delicious, from the chicken fingers appetizers to the cake.

If you are able to visit only one vegetarian place in the Boston area, this is the one. You can come back over and over again, and still not try everything on their menu. If you consider that a dare, it’s one you won’t regret trying to accomplish.

Pros: Choices, Quality, Delicious

Vegan & Gluten-Free Options

The entire staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. I ordered a gluten free blueberry pancake, with a milkshake and a side of home fries and bacon. Hands down the best breakfast I've ever had, also they give you real maple syrup! The portions are great and the cost was reasonable. My fiancé ordered a stack of pancakes and hash browns, we both loved our food and the environment, we'll definitely be back again

Pros: Vegan Vegetarian and Gluten-Free Options , Reasonable Prices

My go-to place in Boston!

Veggie Galaxy is like your typical diner except it's all veggie. The vegan choices are great. The food is cooked freshly in front of you if sitting at the bar and there are booths too. Portions are big. Scrambled tofu, bbq jackfruit burgers, club sandwiches with seitan. Many choices. Mains are delicious but the desserts are to die for. Lemon meringue pie my favourite! Also amazing vegan donuts and shakes!

Pros: Great choice of tasty food, bakery

pretty much perfect

Went here twice last time I was in Boston and tried burgers, sides, and desserts. The Kendal burger was amazing. All of the desserts I tried were absolutely delicious, I highly recommend the peanut butter chocolate cake. The staff were amazing both times I went. The only negative I have is that on both occasions, the buffalo sauce was rather too salty.

Pros: amazing desserts, very friendly staff, awesome Kendal burger

Cons: really salty buffalo sauce

great first trip, can't wait for more

I've heard many great things about this place but hadn't gotten to check it out until today. I was not disappointed! I got the vegan mozzarella sticks to start. They're fun and I'm glad I tried them but next time I'll probably try something else on the menu. For my main dish I got a sandwich called the Rachel, it similar to a vegan Ruben except it has slaw instead of sauerkraut. It was delicious! Definitely not a low calorie or low fat meal but this is a vegan diner, not a health spot. Regardless, my sandwich came with a side of fresh greens. All of the staff I interacted with was friendly and attentive. I was also glad to see signs in front of the bathrooms in support of trans* individuals, encouraging them to use the bathroom of their identity.

Pros: friendliest staff, inclusive environment, great taste, comfort food

The good different

Feels like walking into a restaurant from the 80s (or am I watching too much of Stranger Things??)
Food was nothing like I've tasted before. I'm already in love with their ambiance. Service top-notch. What more can anyone ask for??
Vegan mac & cheese, and vegan floats, are just amazing..

Great casual diner

The food I had here was great. The Reuben sandwich was probably the best one I’ve ever had (and I’m obsessed with vegan Reubens!) I also had their chocolate peanut butter cake for dessert, which was yummy but a bit dry. They have tons of desserts so it might be a good idea to ask what’s fresh. The atmosphere is very casual, like a typical diner, and it was very crowded when I went at about 7pm on a Thursday, although the food came quickly and service was prompt.

Pros: Excellent food, Prompt Service, Lots of dessert options

Incredible!

This place is a great addition to Cambridge! I never thought Boston had much to offer for vegan food, but this place was a very pleasant surprise. I tried the Chicken & Waffles and my husband had the Buffalo Chicken and both were great! We also had the coffee frappe and Boston cream pie. I have never had a vegan version of Boston cream pie and it tasted absolutely delicious! I will definitely be returning to Veggie Galaxy on my next venture to Boston.

Pros: All desserts are vegan!

What a meal...heaven

Extremely impressed with the atmosphere, food, and service of Veggie Galaxy (insert cool space noises here)

Not your typical diner, VG is modern dining meets old school service. Complete with classic radio, your standard bowling alley tables, and the ding of a bell every time an order is ready, they really embrace the feel of the restaurant.

The menu is what really blew me away though. A great array of breakfast, lunch, and dinner choices along with nice dessert options too. I ended up ordering the Chocolate Frapp with a club sandwich and a side of home made chips. A classic meal, all vegan.

The frapp was amazing, currently sipping on the last bits of it as I type this. The club was a perfect balance of "meat" and veggies, with a nice pesto to hold it all together. And the chips were classically sliced and seasoned. The sandwiches come with a side salad served underneath as well. My only hesitance was actually the salad. With a light vinaigrette, there's a great opportunity awaiting underneath my sandwich (literally). I'm imagining candied pine nuts or something else a little sweeter to balance out the savory of the chips and sandwich. Yin and Yang. Ya know?

Overall, very friendly service, great food, and a place I can see being PACKED on a weekend night or morning. Looking forward to returning soon!

Pros: The vegan milkshakes..., Great menu!, Very friendly staff

Cons: Side Salad was just okay

I loved this place

We had lunch and everything was delicious. We order a bacon sandwich, one of the burgers and a "taza chocolate" cake. All the desserts are vegan, the cake was huge and really really good. Friendly staff, cool place. I heartily recommend this restaurant if you visit Boston. Average prices.

Pros: Delicious, Cool place, All desserts are vegan

Oh man

This is such a great place. My favorite is their mac and cheese, but no matter what I order, everything is so good! Their pies are a MUST try. I have dreams of their chocolate cream pie. Visited quite a few times and will continue coming back. The staff is super friendly also.

Really disappointed

By the amount of food reviews I was really excited to try it. It was packed when we went in which was a good sign. My gluten intolerant friend had reassured me that their food was good (she got something odd the lunch menu , which is probably where I went wrong).
I hated it here. I got breakfast with a coconut milk chocolate smoothie. My stomach was in knots ( If you know what I mean) for days!!! It was over salted and nothing special. I brought a meat-eater who had not even heard of veganism and had him try my smoothie and he was scared to even try anything vegan after that!
(My trip there was December 2016. )

Cons: Salty, Gross

amazing!!

It's so fun going to places and being able to order ""normal"" meals but vegan versions. I had the Buffalo "chicken" burger and mozzarella sticks! It was amazing. Would recommend!! The atmosphere is a diner feel and it was so fun.
