Came here after walking around all day and had an excellent meal. I had the Tofuego sandwich with fries which was excellent. Has a great atmosphere as well. Black culture represented in a vegan restaurant isn't very common and is great to see.

The restaurant is much cooler (hip hop playing, and lots of animal- and music-themed art) than the boring name suggests. Scan the QR code on the table to see the menu and order online. I ordered the chickpea tuna with fries. The sandwich didn't taste very fishy, but it was good.

Read moreI tried the vegan chicken and waffles and opted to pay a bit extra for my chicken to be Korean BBQ style... IT WAS DELICIOUS.
ALL OF IT. I don't normally go for vegan comfort food but I can say that I was happily satisfied. I also got a side of French fries and felt they were a bit too salty but they were solid.
The menu is big so I'll def try to come back at some point and try some of the other offerings

I had dinner with here with non vegan girlfriends. They enjoyed the coctails and everyone was able to find something from the menu that they liked. Service was very friendly. Downstairs dining room was very loud and we had hard time hearing each other. But it’s a cool space. I had broccoli and two tacos and felt they were healthy but there are a lot of non-healthy options in the menu and I had a hard time finding what to order. You can all make your own order on the website and ooen and close your own tab which made paying and ordering easy. I’ve ordered delivery from them before and food was good, I think eating at the restaurant is a better experience.

Going to start with positive. It’s all vegan and I love to support 100% vegan spots. However too many disappointments. I was in the mood for breakfast and I even came all the way from w31st/5thave. I was determined to get here and try. First let’s start off by how u have to order. I’m do understand COVID has made restaurant lean towards QR scan menus which is no problem however I have to order and pay through this Cheqout app and there aren’t any notes to say put fruit on side etc or make changes so u have to walk up to tell someone (which they still got wrong) or wait for someone to pass by. Not the restaurant experience I am feeling at all. Anyway ordered my French toast and home fries. The home fries weren’t burnt and they didn’t put fruit on side. No problem I was not going to send back just going to eat. Where I had to put foot down is the cold maple syrup that came out, like ice cold. He looked at me like i asked for something foreign. Who uses ice cold syrup? So instead of bringing some warm out he says I will try and warm up but we have to ration we only have so much in the frig. REALLY??!! So I waited and waited French toast is now cold he forgets to bring the syrup out until he saw my face and turned around and guess what the syrup wasn’t even warm. I was done but just to cap it off when checking out via this app it forces u to pay at least 18% tip. I believe in tipping and I usually give 20 but this wasnt the service that was worth it so to force me to give 18% to hell with y’all. I tried I really wanted to love this place but they only getting a 2 star and that’s for being 100%vegan.

Found UVK while walking around village looking for a brunch place. Wow, what a find! We had the Tofu Scramble, Chick-un Avocado Salad, Belgian Waffle, and sides of tempeh bacon, breakfast sausage. It was so good we went back for dinner! For dinner we had the buffalo wings, and several other Chick-un dishes. Our two boys thought the buffalo wings were amazing. We even ordered extra food to bring home. So glad to have found this place!

I’ve been going to this place since it opened. I always recommend it and bring friends here. The atmosphere is fun and quirky - a lot of art on the walls, often events like movie screenings or comedy nights happening downstairs. And when the weather is nice they open the big front windows which is lovely. The food is amazing. I always get the Mac and cheese to start or to share. I also really like the BLT! The cocktails are fun, and the servers and bartenders are always super kind. I’ll be coming here again and again!

I tried the battered tofu burger on a potato bread bun. Delicious! But best of all is the standup comedy in the basement. I think that may be every Monday but don't quote me on that. Wish we had places like this back home!

I am new to the Vegan lifestyle and LOVE having multiple options for food. I am traveling for work and visited this spot and was very satisfied with my choices. I had the Chicken Un Waffles, Mac n Cheese, Brussel Sprouts and the Dirty Green Quesadilla...of course I didn't eat this all at one time but I was very pleased with each dish.

Mac n cheese was good, though small for the price and all of the add ons are also really pricey. Wait time for food was just way too long and wait staff was inattentive (not filling water, checking in, or anything). Burger was really dry, seitan po boy could have had more seitan for the price. Probably won’t be back.
