Poor service - Edit
The food was very good and the restaurant is beautiful. I have 3 stars because the service was not at par for a restaurant that charges $100 per person. They were very pushy. Twice they tried to take plates away when we were still eating. I had a bad reception and I asked for the wifi which they have but do not share with patrons. There are many excellent vegan restaurants in NYC so I will not be returning here

Incredible vegan food. Gorgeous interior friendly service. Large menu with meaty “Chunk” products and many other plant foods. Delicious Plant-Based Dining with Exceptional Service - Edit
I had an amazing experience at this plant-based restaurant! The food was so creatively crafted, making it hard to believe it wasn’t made from vegetables. The portions were generous, the presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were absolutely delicious. Our server, Sebastian, was professional and incredibly hospitable, adding to the great atmosphere. A very lovely time — can’t wait to return for more. And definitely, get the ice cream — it’s a must!

I came to NY for a pistachio baklava cheesecake - Edit
Okay, maybe my title is a bit of an exaggeration, but after seeing and saving photos of the raspberry pistachio baklava cheesecake for so long, I had been hyping it up forever and really looking forward to trying vegan food in NY specifically because of it, and Anixi in general.
Read moreThe dessert lived up to the hype. It was perfect. The only thing that could've made it better would've been rose water mousse instead of raspberry mousse. The raspberry was a bit overpowering, but still more than welcome.
I loved the ricotta and spinach borek the most out of the two savory mezzes that I ordered. The manti lamb pockets were great, too, especially with the yogurt to tie it all together.
Getting to try more of the menu is my goal, I'm going to have to come back for the kofta, dip mezzes, and ekmek kataifi!! Apparently, they will be opening a dessert bar soon in Brooklyn, so keep an eye out.
The food was ready quickly, and the service was great.

Luxurious - Edit
Reserve in advance!! Some of the best upscale vegan dining in NYC. The decor in the dining room is so elegant (the walls are all marble, beautiful chandeliers, moody lighting) the service is excellent, and the food is outrageous. Definitely get the fire roasted eggplant cold mezze. We had three courses, but that eggplant was the best thing we ate there. The mock meats have a very realistic texture, and the kabobs have a charred taste from the grill. All of the cold mezze can be prepared gluten free, as well as the beef dolmas and chicken kabob.

Excellent experience -- especially for a group - Edit
The food, ambiance, and service all befit a gourmet restaurant of the one star Michelin variety. Had a great experience. I think best for groups since part of the fun is the great variety, and sharing among four or more people allows you to try a number of dishes. Speaking of variety, don't miss the five dip mezze to start the meal. Also really enjoyed the olive zaatar pide.

You MUST visit this restaurant while in NYC. The service was excellent and we really liked the ambiance too. Felt like a classy restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. My husband, who is not vegan, was so impressed as well. We had the chicken skewers, beef skewers and lamb pockets. I can’t remember the name of our desserts but they were #2 and #3 on the dessert menu. So delicious! #3 is less sweet and more refreshing but still felt like a delicious treat. I would order again and again.

AMAZING! - Edit
I took my mother here for her birthday and it was a truly elevated experience. It was the most flavorful and well presented vegan meal I've ever had at a restaurant. My father, who's not vegan, took one bite into the "steak" and said "Are you sure this isn't real? If every restaurant was like this, no one would never feel like they were missing out." The staff was also incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.

Our favorite in NYC! - Edit
After many years as fans of Beyond Sushi, we finally had the opportunity to try Anixi yesterday. This was a truly exceptional meal. If we lived closer, we would come often! That said, it is well worth the time (1.5 hours) to drive into the city and eat at Anixi. Every dish we tried had complex flavors and was delicious.
Read moreWe had the beet and citrus salad and the spinach borek as a first course. I would come back just for these two items! I've been missing that feta since I tried it on the beet salad at an old Beyond Sushi location. Each bite was fantastic, both then and now!
We shared the mushroom (braised "beef") pide and the grilled chik'n shish kabob as entrees. Wow. Just wow. We really appreciated the flavors, textures, and especially the green tahini sauce! It complemented the grilled vegan chick'n perfectly.
For dessert we tried the special raspberry baklava cheesecake, which was just lovely. The crunch of the filo dough with the sweet and tart elements! The raspberry cream was amazing! Also, I had the housemade soda in cucumber, mint, lemon. So refreshing!
Loved the Mizrahi music, too! Excellent place to celebrate our 30th anniversary!! We look forward to returning and trying some of the other affiliate restaurants, too. Our kids have already been to them and raved about the food! If you're in NYC, you can't go wrong with any of Guy Vaknin's restaurants. Anixi is our new favorite!!
Pros: Amazing food!, Excellent for a special occasion!

Mind blown 🤯 - Edit
The food here was unbelievable - honestly some of the best vegan food I've ever had. Everything was so flavorful and filling. The food also looked beautiful and appetizing. I came here for a birthday dinner with Omni friends. They were also quite impressed and said they were surprised everything was vegan. The staff were wonderful and knowledgeable about the menu items and allergens. I was worried that my soy allergy would be an issue. Though I wasn't able to have many of their mains, I had plenty to eat! I loved the mujadara, ekmek katafi and rose malabi. I'm not typically a "dessert person", but their two desserts were so impressive with the balance of flavors and textures that I have never experienced before, even before I became vegan (over a decade ago). The venue is stunning and the food was super memorable - it's been weeks and I'm still thinking about the food here. Their drinks were also delicious and robust.

Birthday Dinner - Edit
This meal was fine. I came here with my family because my sister is vegan and we are used to upscale dining venues. Instead we were met with hostility from the wait staff, before our server forgot to put one of our four meals in to the kitchen so later one of us was awkwardly forced to tell everyone to enjoy their meal while they went hungry… this mishap could happen anywhere but I was disappointed it happened tonight on my sisters birthday at this price point. Honestly very underwhelmed from what I’d heard… hoping for better moving forward.
