So much more than words can transmit - Edit
One of the ultimate stand out vegan places I’ve ever been to in my life. The three of us had their famous £22 Sunday Roast extravaganza each selecting a different meat (roast chicken, lamb and turkey). You are also provided with a Yorkshire Pudding then it’s self-service vegetables and all the usual trimmings such as sauces, stuffing and lashings of gravy. I had a bit of everything, piled my plate high then proceeded to devour the whole feast with a pint of their delicious Posh Lager overlooking Petticoat Lane Market. Not a bad way to spend an early Sunday afternoon before hitting The Oval for some T20 cricket action.

Sunday carvery! ✨ - Edit
Came for the Sunday carvery and luckily booked a table the day before😄
Read moreIt was very busy but you might get lucky with walk-ins!
The roast was super tasty and the veg/potatoes are helping yourself. You can also go up a second time for extras of the sides. The cauliflower Cheez wasn't very creamy or cheezy but the creamy leeks were good! Can't believe the vegan Yorkshire puddings! £22 for the roast and you will leave full!

Lovely Sunday Roast - Edit
We had the Sunday carvery which was delicious. You get one "protein" choice (mushroom wellington, nut roast, or a "meat" selection) and then as many trimmings as you like and you can go up for seconds or thirds of the trimmings! Perfectly balanced with flavour, the service is good, atmosphere is good and no animals exploited...which is also good!

The best carvery!!! - Edit
I highly recommend coming here for a fully vegan Sunday carvery. I think it is very reasonably priced at £22 per person (£10.50 child) and the food is amazing 5 different main protein options, Yorkshire puddings and lots of sides. Superb!!! Be sure to book a table in advance because it gets BUSY.

Fantastic food & atmosphere - Edit
Unity Diner offers a fully vegan menu plus cocktails with classics such as Fish & Chips in a vegan version. The Fish & Chips were simply fantastic as well as the other dishes we tried - from starters to mains to desserts everything tasted amazing and was very well presented.

Non-profit - Edit
Nice locale, but small portions as no side dishes are included. The tofish was not what I expected.
Read moreThey charge 50p per customer as donation to a sanctuary (really small donation) and 12.5% for service. I think a vegan restaurant should pay properly especially when it's a non-profit.

A gem! - Edit
This has a lot of cool items on the menu. I had the Steak 2.0, with veg. The broccolini came out a bit cold and I wish there had been a gravy, so that's why I'm not giving full five stars. It tastes good, though, and the staff was very friendly.

Loved the vegan carvery! - Edit
What a treat to have a sunday roast with all the trimmings AND a Yorkshire pudding - which was the best I've had since being vegan!
Read moreYou choose your main and yorkie then can go up as many times as you like for the sides and trimmings.
So much to choose from, not just your usual veggies but cauliflower cheese, gratin and even crackling!
Also loved the pineapple lemonade which was refreshing to wash down the roast.
Staff were super friendly, the perfect Sunday afternoon!

Great place for dinner - Edit
Menu and space has an elevated feel, but not fine dining. The Steak 2.0 is apparently 3-D printed w/ various vegan proteins, sort of Meati-style but not mushroom based. Served with some twice fried style potatos and an oily sauce. It was good, but lacked distinguishing flavor. What made this 5 stars was the drink ‘Piers Morgan’s tears’ , I had the N/A version, super good, not a gut bomb like many mocktails can be. Relaxed, friendly service. Thank you!

I knew this place was going to be good, but I didn’t know it would be this good. I loved everything I got here and they have a great menu. The service is also wonderful and I like the decor, it’s chill but nice inside. It’s perfect!

Great fish and chips and mocktails - Edit
Went here for some vegan fish and chips and I loved it. My husband and I debated on the best vegan fish and chips in London and I think it was here. We also had the side lobster mac and cheese which I thought was good but a little to rich for me, especially after fish and chips. The cocktails were fantastic. I had my eye on a sticky toffee pudding, but sadly no stomach capacity. Lost opportunity:(.

Undoubtedly tasty, but so expensive - Edit
I had three small plates (prawnz, popcorn chickn and mushroom skewer) and while they were all very good and kept me full for much longer than I expected I am still shocked that all of this plus a still water cost me like 25 pounds. I get that these ingredients are expensive but honestly that is really not affordable for many people. I would certainly recommend it tho for a special occasion and I might even try the Sunday brunch at some point.

The food is extraordinary good and very special, never saw so good options on a vegan menu before. But only because of the high prices one star less.

Disappointing - Edit
Have enjoyed Unity Diner a few times but our most recent visit for dinner on Saturday was very disappointing. The restaurant was full but there were only two waiting staff meaning service was slow . To start we had the Crispy Tofish Bites and the Charred Prawn Skewers which were OK. For mains we had the Steak 2.0 and the Salmon 2.0 dishes. There was very little 'steak' on the plate and the 'garlicky greens' didn't taste very nice. The roast potatoes on both plates were rock hard. We visited to celebrate a birthday however despite mentioning this on the booking it was not acknowledged in any way. I fully support Unity Diner as a vegan business and I fully support them raising money for Surge Sanctuary, but they need to do better if they want repeat custom.

Amazing selection - Edit
It’s amazing to go somewhere with so much choice and overall the food was lovely, especially the tofish and chips. The pistachio sharing dessert was slightly disappointing but the soft serve ice cream made up for it. Would definitely recommend a visit and I’d like to go back to try some other things on the menu.

Amazing - Edit
I was really looking forward to my visit here after reading such fabulous reviews and I was not disappointed. My experience was even better than I anticipated. The interior combines a stylish environment with pro vegan/ animal pictures and messages to perfection.
Read moreWe were lucky to visit on a Sunday for the roast which was out of this world, the choice was phenomenal and the taste was so good, I’ll be dreaming about it for a very long time.
I think the cost of meals and drinks is reasonable for London, particularly for the quality of food and service. The staff are lovely, helpful and passionate.
In summary I love this place and really want /need to go back.
