So much more than words can transmit - Edit
One of the ultimate stand out vegan places I’ve ever been to in my life. The three of us had their famous £22 Sunday Roast extravaganza each selecting a different meat (roast chicken, lamb and turkey). You are also provided with a Yorkshire Pudding then it’s self-service vegetables and all the usual trimmings such as sauces, stuffing and lashings of gravy. I had a bit of everything, piled my plate high then proceeded to devour the whole feast with a pint of their delicious Posh Lager overlooking Petticoat Lane Market. Not a bad way to spend an early Sunday afternoon before hitting The Oval for some T20 cricket action.

Undoubtedly tasty, but so expensive - Edit
I had three small plates (prawnz, popcorn chickn and mushroom skewer) and while they were all very good and kept me full for much longer than I expected I am still shocked that all of this plus a still water cost me like 25 pounds. I get that these ingredients are expensive but honestly that is really not affordable for many people. I would certainly recommend it tho for a special occasion and I might even try the Sunday brunch at some point.

Very good but very pricey - Edit
The food is extraordinary good and very special, never saw so good options on a vegan menu before. But only because of the high prices one star less.

Vibes - Edit
The diner felt relaxed, but not a greasy spoon. I got the fish but no chips, and was glad I did so I’d have room for sticky toffee pudding.

Disappointing - Edit
Have enjoyed Unity Diner a few times but our most recent visit for dinner on Saturday was very disappointing. The restaurant was full but there were only two waiting staff meaning service was slow . To start we had the Crispy Tofish Bites and the Charred Prawn Skewers which were OK. For mains we had the Steak 2.0 and the Salmon 2.0 dishes. There was very little 'steak' on the plate and the 'garlicky greens' didn't taste very nice. The roast potatoes on both plates were rock hard. We visited to celebrate a birthday however despite mentioning this on the booking it was not acknowledged in any way. I fully support Unity Diner as a vegan business and I fully support them raising money for Surge Sanctuary, but they need to do better if they want repeat custom.

Amazing selection - Edit
It’s amazing to go somewhere with so much choice and overall the food was lovely, especially the tofish and chips. The pistachio sharing dessert was slightly disappointing but the soft serve ice cream made up for it. Would definitely recommend a visit and I’d like to go back to try some other things on the menu.

Amazing - Edit
I was really looking forward to my visit here after reading such fabulous reviews and I was not disappointed. My experience was even better than I anticipated. The interior combines a stylish environment with pro vegan/ animal pictures and messages to perfection.
Read moreWe were lucky to visit on a Sunday for the roast which was out of this world, the choice was phenomenal and the taste was so good, I’ll be dreaming about it for a very long time.
I think the cost of meals and drinks is reasonable for London, particularly for the quality of food and service. The staff are lovely, helpful and passionate.
In summary I love this place and really want /need to go back.

First person paid £30, then machine ' broke' , so waitress brought second one...
Deep in conversation we simply taped cards....just to realise next day both of us who paid latter we paid £45 .
Wrote to restaurant, was promised refound...but after weeks of reminding them now they don't reply and no refound been made.
So make sure you check what you paying!!!

Thriving vegan diner - Edit
A thriving spot proud to be vegan. Staff were friendly and a pleasant experience all round.
Read moreWe tried the mooli and smoky bacon, 3D printed salmon and double bacon burger for mains and each dish was delicious! An unfamiliar experience of meaty meals that were thoroughly enjoyed. The salmon tasted just like the real thing despite a slight texture difference! The burger was a little messy to eat but delicious and the mooli was new for us but the smoky bacon made the dish. The side vegetables were crispy and well flavoured.
We also had desserts including the special of sticky toffee pudding, a chocolate torte and a gin and raspberry cheesecake. The cheesecake was especially delicious!
Pros: Delicious food, Non-profit and donations to animal sanctuary, Friendly staff

The best Sunday roast everrrrr - Edit
Came here with a friend for Sunday Roast - it's a buffet style with fake meats, mushroom Wellington and nut roast. It also had the most amazing Veggies like Cauliflower cheese, leak and pea gratin. A Yorkshire pudding and gravy!

Top vegan restaurant - Edit
This time they had the Redefine Meat we wanted which was delicious with a peppercorn sauce. The tofish bites are awesome with a dill, pickle, and probably mayo sauce. Yum. The vanilla crème brûlée was to die for. Crispy crackling top and divine custard underneath. Yummmmm.
Read moreLoads of comfort food options that make you realise you don’t have to miss out on anything when you go vegan.
I visited without a reservation at 5pm on a Sunday to try their new Sunday carvery. They kindly squeezed me in when super busy. The presentation I found a bit lacking as a large buffet and many things were mostly empty. I had to go back for a couple things then which wasn’t ideal. The food was nice and loved the Yorkshire pudding and gravy. I wasn’t crazy about it and probably wouldn’t make the effort to visit again for this. The range on offer is impressive with 5 mains to choose from and loads of unlimited sides. You will not be hungry after for sure! Many options are healthy too like cabbage and peas, turnips, carrots, etc. Nice roast potatoes.

Read moreI loved the idea of a non-profit restaurant that helps animals at the Surge Sanctuary, and the food is delicious too.
As well as the tofish goujons & chips, we tried the double bacon burger, popcorn chicken and cheesy chips. We were very full afterwards as the portions are big, but the food is excellent, so I would highly recommend it.

Yummy food! - Edit
I ordered the New York style hot dog and lobster Mac and cheese for side - it was tasty but the hotdog was not overly hot when it arrived. We were one of three tables in the place at the time so it was no where near busy and could have been hotter. The hot dog was so tasty though. The Mac was average, nothing to shout about but still nice. My partner ordered the 3D steak which was amazing!! I wish I had ordered it and definitely will next time.
Read moreWe both ordered chocolate torte for dessert and it was completely frozen when it arrived. The servers were super quick to apologise and took these back to the kitchen to replace however it was clear that the new pieces had been put in the microwave or something similar to defrost. Was still tasty though! It was quite a pricey meal and definitely one for a special occasion - I think we spent £80 for the two of us.
Pros: Friendly staff, Nice atmosphere, 3D steak !!!!!! Amazing
Cons: Frozen dessert , Food could have been hotter
