Scandi food - affordable and flavourful - Edit
My second trip here! I kept it light as I had a full day of vegan eating in Spitalfields.

Lovely little cafe! - Edit
Only ever really had the toasties and pastries. It has always been nice and always nice to support a small, independent vegan spot. Gets busy and brunch so would recommend booking as there's not too many covers.

Decent lunch options - Edit
I haven't had a lot of vegan Scandinavian food, so this was a fun spot to try. It's a casual café with some exciting looking pastries (sweet and savoury) alongside the menu.
Read moreI had the vegan ham croissant (brie and tomato, swedish mustard, ham, cheese sauce, swedish pickles). I thought it was fine and nicely warmed. Everything tasted good but not mind-blowing.
I also got the skagen tofish smorrebrod (tofu marinated in mayo with dill on sourdough toast with danish seaweed caviar). It was not really like fake fish in texture, it was very clearly tofu, but the flavours were nice.
My partner tried the seitan sausage toastie (German seitan sausage, harissa chilli, pickled red onions). The sausage looked like a hotdog sausage (which she don't love), but it was substantial and tasty, much better than expected. The cheese sauce was delicious and abundant, without being too sloppy and messy to eat. The onions were a fun addition, and could have been a bit sharper for her. The bread was great.
All in all, it was a really solid cafe and a fun spot for lunch. The flavours weren't totally mind-blowing, but it was really enjoyable and I'd happily go back for a nice lunch. It's quite a small spot, so it's worth booking if you've got your heart set on it.

Fantastic brunch - Edit
Everything was incredibly tasty. The brunch plate was amazing and the meatball plate was also very good. They even sprinkled chocolate on the cappuccino! Easy recommendation.

This place was great! I had the selection of three open faced sandwiches which is meant as a sharing portion, but I was so hungry and wanted to try them all, and all three were absolutely fantastic. The rest of the food coming out of the kitchen looked amazing too. Lovely small cafe with a great menu, generous portions, and reasonable prices. Would love to go back!

Lovely little vegan place for eat-in and take-out. Opens early too so we were able to have a great vegan breakfast before travelling. We had the tofu scramble and some pastries and everything was delicious. Please support this business

Scandinavian classics but vegan 😍 - Edit
The place was always busy when I passed by on weekends so I thought I would try it on a late Saturday afternoon. The good thing was that the cafe wasn’t busy and had multiple free tables, however, the selection of pastries was understandably small at that point. I ended up with a kind of soft oat cookie, which was ok with my hot chocolate, but nothing to write home about. I liked the look of the other items on the menu and will be back to try those and maybe one of those pastries or cinnamon buns.

Always enjoy the food here - Edit
I've visited many times for the toasted cheese sandwiches and they are consistently good. It is usually rammed but you can reserve a table if you don't want to wait. I am not really a tofu scramble person but must admit it's very well made, not just a bunch of rubbery tofu rolling around in kala namak but rather a more creamy style with crispy onions instead of an eggy taste.

Best scrambled tofu! - Edit
What a gem! We went for breakfast and had the scrambled tofu with spinach and tomatoes on sourdough - I think it's the most flavourful scrambled tofu I've ever had, and the crispy onions on top is absolutely inspired! We also had the vegan breakfast; the smoked baked beans were delicious, and the seitan sausage was lovely. Great food overall, and friendly people. It is a cute small space, and we were lucky to get a table for two, so I would definitely reserve a table in future - we will definitely return!

Cute place with some Swedish classics - Edit
This is a small place owned by a friendly Swedish man who put several veganized Swedish classics on the menu. I tried some things and they were tasty and not too sweet or too heavy. The cinnamon bun had a slightly more brittle structure than I’m used from Dutch attempts to Swedish cinnamon buns, but I liked it.

Great matches, yummy toastie and good vibes! - Edit
The menu all looked really good, but we went for one of the special items, which was a bacon sandwich with blue cheese. I also got the iced forest matcha, which had pistachio and blueberry in it. All of hit the spot, and the cafe itself is really cosy. Definitely recommend booking a table as space is limited, but service was quick and we really enjoyed our time.

Delicious food, small spot - Edit
There is tasty food, although quite expensive for how much you get/ the casual cafe setting. It’s quite small so seating is limited.
