So much more than words can transmit - Edit
One of the ultimate stand out vegan places I’ve ever been to in my life. The three of us had their famous £22 Sunday Roast extravaganza each selecting a different meat (roast chicken, lamb and turkey). You are also provided with a Yorkshire Pudding then it’s self-service vegetables and all the usual trimmings such as sauces, stuffing and lashings of gravy. I had a bit of everything, piled my plate high then proceeded to devour the whole feast with a pint of their delicious Posh Lager overlooking Petticoat Lane Market. Not a bad way to spend an early Sunday afternoon before hitting The Oval for some T20 cricket action.

Underwhelmed - Edit
Was excited to try based on the reviews, but was a bit underwhelmed by the food. The lobster Mac & cheese was very coconut-y and sweet, and the Caesar salad for £14 was really small (but tasty). The surf & turf dog was good. Love that the proceeds go to a good cause!

Great space - Edit
I’d missed visiting here the first time round so it was good to be able to visit on their reopening.
Read moreWe’d already eaten across the road at Dauns so just had a dessert and drink in UD, we intend to visit again for a meal.
We both had the tiramisu, it was very rich so the small portion was very welcome.
B had half a Posh Lager and I had a cocktail, Piers Morgan’s Tears lol. It was served in two glasses and I was disappointed the server didn’t know why, or what the purpose was for it being served that way. She didn’t offer to find out either😒So, I just poured one into the other!
They have customer toilets.

Best vegan food in London - Edit
Earthling Ed was the reason I went vegan, so I dreamt of coming to his restaurant for a long time. I was blown away by the quality and creativity of the food here. The “fish” in the Tofish and Chips is so convincing, it even has a layer of “skin”. The 3D steak is simply indistinguishable from real steak. If you find yourself in London, please do not pass up a meal here. I wish I could eat here all the time.

Disappointing - Edit
We were really excited to try here but disappointed with the food. Was nothing special. Will perhaps try the carvery but the main menu isn’t worth the price.

Great place. Do not try the 3d steak - Edit
I recently read the book of Ed Winters and loved it. So probably my expectation to eat here were a bit too high. Great place, service, taste, ambiance. But do NOT try the 3d steak since quite disappointing.

Last call! - Edit
The venue was busy and a little loud, but I hadn't tried this diner yet and didn't want to miss it. My partner had their star dish, tofish and chips, and I chose the lobster roll. The roll was really good but it's true that their fried fish is the best–very much like fish in both taste and texture. Dessert was less convincing as the tiramisu tasted like custard instead of creamy mascarpone. Too bad the place is closing down; I would give it another try!

Okay but not great. Service was very slow, dishes were hit & miss. Some were cold and the tiramisu was slop.

A game changer in vegan cuisine - Edit
Sadly closing for good on the 1st Feb, this is one of the most amazing places to find great vegan food. The Tofish and chips are outstanding, the texture is incredible and the batter is perfect.
Read moreThe "steak" with peppercorn sauce just delightful.
We are absolutely gutted to see this place close and had to make the trip from Stoke and Austria to say goodbye and enjoy the incredible food.

Really sorry but not good - Edit
I admit I’m a tough customer, but was disappointed to find most of the menu was off limits when I told them I’m intolerant to mushrooms. I ended up having the steak with a special sauce and honestly it was just bad. The sauce was pure oil, the steak seemed to be juicy marbles as opposed to the redefined advertised, and the veg portions were very small. And all for £27.50 including service charge. I think that’s the most expensive single main I’ve ever eaten and not even close to one of the best.
Read moreI love their ethics and want to support the sanctuary but the meal and its price really weren’t good.

Great intro for non vegans - Edit
The vibe was good, staff friendly. Great menu for introducing some fav dishes to people. Not really my taste though. The tiramisu was just a glass of cream. The steak was amazing. The cocktails whilst brilliantly named, were not very nice to drink. Sure if you like fish it is a good place to go.
