Amazing pastries - Edit
Pastries have always been my favourite sweet food and since becoming vegan, it's been hard to find alternatives that hit the spot. The pastries at Okja are wonderful, super buttery like the animal-based version, but even better than how I remember them to be!

Very cute small Bakery - Edit
The pistachio lemon scroll was delicious. I especially enjoyed being able to watch the bakers at work through the glass wall—it was great to see the pastries being freshly prepared right in front of us.

Pistachio lemon scroll was lovely, but a savoury pastry was completely hollow inside with just a reddish, oily smear at the bottom. Especially disappointing as it was not cheap.

We went to Okja late in the day, about 30 mins before closing, so understandably they only had a few items left. We bought the pistachio scroll, the hazelnut scroll, and the cookie. All the items were dreamy, especially the cookie!

Okja is a cute little bakery with seriously delicious pastries—possibly the best I’ve ever had. We tried the pain au chocolat and a pistachio-hazelnut bun (or something like that), and the latter was absolutely incredible. You have to try it.

Okja definitely lived up to the hype! We ordered the Cinnamon Swirl and plain croissant. Just fantastic! It’s amazing how everything is completely plant based. They definitely need to open a bigger shop with seating!

Not obvious from the road but easy enough to find. Bright clean and airy with kitchen visa le at the back. No seating but handy benches outside.

Both ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!! Well worth the stroll to find.
At £4 I think they were perfectly priced and would most definitely try to go there again when in London.
FABULOUS!
The drinks were ok but mocha - very overpowering as was the matcha latte.
The lady in the shop was bright and bubbly which is always a bonus !

the pastries here are second to none. the cheesey pesto pastry was out of this world, deliciously crispy with a perfectly doughy middle, not to mention the highly flavoursome filling. the pistachio swirl was also amazing. the matcha latte and mocha weren’t the best we’ve had, the mocha being quite strong and bitter but still nice. couldn’t recommend the pastry’s more. only an 8 minute walk from london liverpool station.

Unlucky and lucky to arrive when it’s closed. Incredibly kind staff working inside treated us to some beauties anyway which are seriously drool worthy. 🤤 They have worked with a Michelin starred chef for their pastry and it shows. The croissant cinnabun is exquisite. The croissant bun has a sweet glazing making it even more decadent than your normal croissant. It all looks crazy reasonably priced for London too. It’s not open today but back open full time from Monday, 19th August 2024. A must visit if you have a sweet tooth and want to support plant-based businesses!
Read moreI finally got to try their proper buns and oh are they killer! I’m dreaming of them already and wanting to go back. The pistachio swirl was my favorite with the orange glaze full of pistachios on top. The pastry is so flaky and moist like the best croissant layers you could imagine. I heated mine up at home in the microwave. The cinnamon swirl was awesome too but the flavors weren’t as pronounced. There were little raisins in that too. Can’t wait to go back.

I didn't know before going there but it's take away only. I just wish they had a few seats and tables.
