Excellent Vegan Sushi and Great Service - Edit
Loved this place! The vegan sushi was amazing - even my non-vegan friend said it tasted just like real fish. The service was super friendly and welcoming, and the robot waiter working alongside the staff was such a unique and fun touch. Highly recommend!

Excellent vegan sushi! - Edit
Really delicious vegan sushi! It's a fun experience to have the fish substitutes as opposed to the usual tofu and veggie combos for vegan sushi. The tiger roll was the star of the show for us, and the mango cheesecake was stunning. Lovely atmosphere and super friendly staff. They also have two seats at the bar where you can play Mario tennis which is very sweet and we definitely want to do next time.

Very impressive - Edit
I love seeing vegan sushi places popping up more over the years and sushi samurai is easily one of the best I've been to. The menu has lots of options to suit a wide range of tastes. The faux fish is quite realistic, my partner is always in awe of it. They also don't skimp on the presentation. Have had good service the few times I've gone. The restaurant is on the smaller size so I'd recommend a reservation during peak hours if you don't want to wait. But it's definitely worth waiting for!

Satisfies that sushi craving - Edit
We had the miso, spring rolls, Mr. Krabs and PNW rolls, and salmon nigiri. Everything was really tasty with nice presentation, and even my non-vegan companion said it was great! Our server was really knowledgeable and gave some good suggestions.

Loved the expansive menu.

Wonderful Sushi Experience - Edit
Sushi Samurai goes for a 1:1 fish emulation experience. So they try to emulate exactly what salmon and other fish taste and feel like to eat, and they do a great job!
Read moreAppetizers: I got the edamame and miso soup, both were great.
Tiger Roll: I felt this was an above average roll, but technically excellent. This roll puts on display their ability to pull off a true vegan fish. The chewiness and flavor pretty much nail it.
Mr Krabs: This was the opposite of the Tiger Roll - a fantastic roll that comes together beautifully, but less technically impressive with less “fish” textures to show off. I loved this one, was my favorite of the two!
Service was great. My only criticism is lack of physical menus. I want to enjoy my experience here, not on my phone. And it’s nice to be able to see all the menu items at once without needing to scroll between them. Would really love to see menus!

I've been meaning to visit Sushi Samurai for some time, and now I'm disappointed I didn't go sooner! The menu was inventive, the food was delicious, and the staff were super friendly. I loved each roll and appreciated being able to sit outside on the patio too. Highly recommended.

Mind Blowing Vegan Sushi. We’ll Be Back! - Edit
We had an amazing all-around experience here. I think it’s wild that there is a veganfied sushi restaurant. Fish is one of the foods that has not really been made vegan, and while we’ve had some over the years, I couldn’t imagine having a vegan version of sushi using fish substitutes until now.
Read moreWhen we got to the restaurant, we were excited to see what they could create. The menu was excellent with options for anyone and everyone. The place definitely had a Japanese vibe—my son was given a neat little melon drink, and I got a Sapporo beer. We started with spring rolls that were excellent along with classic edamame and a spicy version.
That set the stage for the entrées where each of us got our own sushi. The sushi was the bomb. Let’s just say we’ll be back again before our trip ends. Other tables felt the same and couldn’t believe they were eating sushi again, and I’m not talking about just veggie sushi. While some people will never understand why we’d want to replicate fish or meat in general, why not?
The service was very good, and overall this was one of the most memorable meals of our trip.

A dream come true! - Edit
I kicked myself the last time I got sushi from somewhere else, like what was I thinking?! This time I got a free Cupid Roll bc I follow them on IG + I was hella skeptical about the strawberry on top, but I was wrong! It was my favorite of the 3. The spiciness of the Ring of Fire drowned out the flavor + my partner had to get up from the table + walk it off, lol. I enjoyed the Red Dragon, but I won’t get it again. I recommend eating the flower “Lady + the Tramp” style if you’re on a date.
Read moreI do wish they’d handle takeout containers more gingerly (har har) so the sauces don’t get stuck to the lid, but oh well, I can smear it back on.
UPDATE: Mr. Krabs is my new fave! After that I would say cupid, dragon, tofu katsu, red dragon, ring of fire.

So many different options for vegan sushi. I got three rolls, the red dragon, the Maui, and the Queen Anne roll. I loved them all. It’s a bit pricey, but I’ll definitely come back when I feel like I want to treat myself.

An absolute gem - Edit
Sushi Samurai is somewhere that continually blows me away and keeps me coming back for more. Their crispy tofu katsu (RIP), their use of fresh ingredients, and the unique flavors that each roll brings are all reasons to patronize this restaurant. The whole menu is vegan and we have not had a bad meal here yet.

The sushi rolls here are pretty great and creative which I appreciate. We tried to get a variety of rolls, but I will says that all the flavors started to blend together a bit and nothing really stood out as spectacular or particularly unique.

Hands down best sushi - Edit
This is the #1 vegan sushi spot. Really creative rolls and sauces, and so many things that you can’t find vegan anywhere else!!! The last couple times we went, the owner was so excited to talk about the rolls and new fish alternatives they were getting in soon. The ornate presentation makes every visit feel like a special occasion, but the price is reasonable so that any day can be a celebration. This place is truly the definition of food that’s made with love.

A go-to for sushi - Edit
This is the third time my husband and I have come here, and there will be more for sure! Everything is delicious and the service is excellent.
Read moreMy favorite rolls are: red dragon, queen Anne, and bliss!
If you are a fan of very VERY spicy food, try the ring of fire, it will anesthetize your mouth 😂 but if you are not, then this is not for you (it contains habanero)! My husband almost ate all my rolls in the attempt to remove the spiciness from his mouth 😂
I believe the cheesecakes are always changing, I remember ordering something with chocolate last time. This time, the options were strawberry, ube and matcha.
I tried the ube one and it was good!

Read moreSushi Samurai is an absolute gem! Their sushi is incredibly creative, delicious, and bursting with flavor—perfect for anyone, whether you're vegan, vegetarian, plant-based, or just curious to try something new. Their vegan sushi options are some of the best I’ve ever had, proving that you don’t need fish to enjoy high-quality, mouthwatering sushi.
The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it the ideal spot for a romantic date or a fun meetup with friends. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and attentive, ensuring that every visit is an amazing experience.
If you're looking for a sushi spot that’s thoughtfully crafted, beautifully presented, and consistently delicious, Sushi Samurai will never disappoint. Highly recommend!
Remember that peace starts on your plate, save the ocean the planet and remember that fish are friends, not food.
Also, their desserts are on pointtttt, the best cheesecakes I've had in a long time.
And they do take out platters too!
Give it a try, and you will be amazed.
Ps: if you like spicy, try the Ring of Fire. It always makes me go to another dimension.
Pros: Amazing and quality crafted sushi , Boldo and creative flavors , The staff is so nice and goes the extra mile

All Vegan Sushi in a Quaint Neighborhood - Edit
I stopped by here while visiting a friend, and I loved it so much! There aren’t many all vegan sushi places— the last one I went to was years ago in San Francisco. I loved all of the choices on the menu. My vegetarian friend and I ordered a bunch of rolls and shared them all together. The restaurant is quite small, but it is such a vibe. There’s lots of signage that says “NO FISH ALLOWED” which is quite cute! If you’re in Seattle, definitely head up to the charming Queen Anne area and check this place out.

Outstanding vegan sushi in a cozy indoor setting with additional outdoor street seating. Green Goddess, Dragon, Crispy Salmon, and Shrimp Tempura rolls were all great. Plus, a robot delivers your food to your table. Cool. Their business has reportedly quadrupled since converting to vegan-only fare.
