Great food with a great mission - Edit
We were so excited to eat at Strecha tonight. The restaurant is large and bright. When we first entered we thought it was small, but the restaurant is in the shape of an L and has about three separate seating areas on the long arm. We sat in the very end room which had a couch with a low table and a chess set and a monopoly game. Our servers were very nice and spoke to us in English.
Read moreWe ordered the dumplings on red cabbage and the fried cheese with fries. It was great to get to try some traditional Czech dishes veganized. The food was delicious and the portions were generous - we sadly weren't able to finish our meals because we ran out of room.
We were happy to purchase a pending meal for someone in need.

Must visit! - Edit
Everything about this place was fantastic. Service was friendly and food was out really quickly, despite being a busy Friday night. Had the stuffed dumplings and the halusky and both were stand out. The aspect of social enterprise is also brilliant. 12/10. #Veganuary

What a wonderful place... - Edit
This place is not just about the food (which is very good). The restaurant is a social enterprise, employing former inmates and other people in need of a job. They offer their tab water, restrooms and wifi for everybody who needs it and the menu offers the option to pay for lunch for a person in need. Apart from that, the food and cocktails are really good and the atmosphere is very nice. This place definitely makes the world a little better!

Really happy - Edit
We were in a rush so we didn’t get to sit and enjoy the place that much, but it was still really enjoyable. The food is good and it is the first Happy Cow-recommended place in 3 days in Prague that wasn’t crazy expensive. We made a reservation, which is definitely recommended. The staff was very friendly. The food is heavy and helps you get ready for a cold winter.😄

Great atmosphere, good food - Edit
The atmosphere in here is great, it makes such a difference coming in to a vegan restaurant that is slightly larger. The service was great as well, and the food was good. We probably should have ordered more to try a variety of options, but on this occasion we both fancied the same thing! We both had the Kebab, the portion size was good, and the vegan garlic mayo was lovely. Next time I would probably try something else though as it didn’t blow me away. #Veganuary

Gutes Essen - Edit
Wir hatten eine Kebap Platte die echt lecker und frisch war. Außerdem hatten wir das Gulasch mit Knödeln. Das Gulasch war leider nichts besonderes und die Knödel sehr trocken.

Best place in town! - Edit
This is by far my favourite restaurant in Prague - big portions, vegan traditional Czech food and comparably low prices! And on top of that everything we’ve ordered (Schnitzel with potato salad and Gulasch with bread dumplings) was delicious and hearty (which I personally love)! Friendly staff and cosy atmosphere.

Condimentando la comida correctamente!! No abusar del comino y deberían entrenar al personal para dar mejor respuestas a las dudas de clientes respecto a los platos.

It used to be better - Edit
It used to taste better. The feeling that now they are saving on products. But in general, a normal place in the center of Prague, where you can eat a lot.

Best garlic soup in Prague - Edit
I have never had such an amazing vegan garlic soup. It was so warm in cold day and delicious.
Read moreWe also ordered vegan ribs from seitan and black beans with bread and fried cheese with fries. I tryed the ribs and it wasn't bad but I will definitelly try something else next time. The trouble with fried cheese was its escapism, but the taste was ok.
Pros: Only vegan options , Delicious meals
Cons: Lots of People

Great and fresh Food for a small price. Unfortunally they didn‘t have the dark beer goulash (which was the genuin reason for our visit).

Established with a great cause for the workers/mutual aid, like the option to pay a meal forward. Cool ambience and spacious location, good for large groups & gatherings. They play good music too.
Read moreHonestly wasn't a fan of the goulash here. The dumplings were not fluffy and the sauce was quite bland with only a few bits of soy. But it's well priced and would recommend to check out atleast once if visiting Prague & looking for vegan Czech food.

Maybe, the best vegan place in Prague - Edit
My husband and me have tried the vegan ribs in BBQ and the poutine and they were incredible! To be honest I never tried the original poutine so I can't say if the vegan one is similar, but give it a chance, it's really worth it! We wanted also try some dessert but the portions were really generous and satisfactory, so we couldn't😉.
Read moreLast but not the least, it's possible to buy a pendulous lunch for a persons in need, so lovely.
I really wanted having lunch here again a second time during my stay in Prague, but unfortunately I couldn't, but I will definitely suggest this place if i can!

I really love the concept behind this place. Service was great. I picked the schnitzel and potato salad and it was nice but not my favourite thing. The kebab plate looked delicious and I wish I had picked that instead. Would definitely recommend going here.

A very nice place! - Edit
It's a good place, really. The staff is great, the atmosphere is very nice. I keep returning to the place because of that, but the food is really just OK. The best thing though is that it's the only place in Prague I know that serves alcohol-free beer on tap.

(We tried Borscht, stuffed dumplings, Schnitzels, lasagna and what can I say: So tasty! :)

I really liked the fact that Strecha is a cooperative and that you can prepay a meal for a person who is in a difficult situation.
