Great food with a great mission - Edit
We were so excited to eat at Strecha tonight. The restaurant is large and bright. When we first entered we thought it was small, but the restaurant is in the shape of an L and has about three separate seating areas on the long arm. We sat in the very end room which had a couch with a low table and a chess set and a monopoly game. Our servers were very nice and spoke to us in English.
Read moreWe ordered the dumplings on red cabbage and the fried cheese with fries. It was great to get to try some traditional Czech dishes veganized. The food was delicious and the portions were generous - we sadly weren't able to finish our meals because we ran out of room.
We were happy to purchase a pending meal for someone in need.

Really good - Edit

vegan goulash - Edit
The goulash was very tasty, even if it was a little spicy. The portion was very large. The ambience of the restaurant was unfortunately a bit boring.

On my second visit about a year later, I was unfortunately a little disappointed with the quality of the food. The preparation was quick. But the goulash and the svickova were only spicy and there were no other flavours. The dumplings on red cabbage were very good, however.

Heart touching dining concept - Edit
I love and respect the social concept behind this gem, and of course that it’s vegan. I had the sauerkraut soup with sausage, which was very good. I also had the cabbage pancakes which had a nice taste, but were a bit cold and tough - I’m guessing they were premade. I would definitely come back, and hope you will visit, too.

This place is special... 💜 - Edit
Střecha is a great example of what vegan really means. You can be vegan and follow a plant-based diet, but at the same time, support other causes that are just as important.

Thank you for what you do. It is a pleasure to be able to support you. 🙏🏽
The food was good, I liked some dishes more than others. I really liked the cabbage pancakes and will try to make them at home! 🙈
The dumpling stuffed with soy mince and red cabbage was also super tasty!
I didn't really like the vegan picked sausage, it's hard to make good v sausages.
Also the 'duck' cooked in wine with dumplings was not for me.
The spices are quite strong and the flavors don't match, in my opinion.
The traditional Czech pie for dessert was a pleasant surprise!
Best of luck! 🍀
Pros: Social cause, Nice spacious restaurant, Workers are super attentive! 👍🏽

Idee toll- Umsetzung leider nicht - Edit
Schade!

Nice herbs, hearty meals - Edit
The food was well seasoned and creative. On a Saturday at 13:30 they only served brunch until 14:30, so not many main dishes were available, but the few were really good (shakshuka, loaded rösti with vegan salmon). Variety of cakes

Just the project by itself its worth a visit but not only that the food is really really tasteful, the atmosphere is super cozy (quite a bit romantic id say) and the service is spectacular. Thank you for taking me in with the house full.

Very very bad decision - Edit
The most tasteless dishes. I was once served plain rice with 2 pieces of steamed broccoli as a vegan dish and it was much better than anything we were served here.
Read moreIt smell like pepper inside. Has a very weird vibe.
The vegan meat was extremely salty, dumplings tasted like cement and cabbage was swimming in sugar.
I’m deeply disappointed.
Moreover, the cutlery including cups were dirty.
I would give -5* if I could bur the app won’t let me.
Cons: Weird vibe and smell , Dirty cutlery , Horribly wrong taste

Best for Vegan Czech food - Edit
They serve excellent Czech style food but 100% vegan. So good I visited 3 times during my stay and had 3 different starters and mains. It's also much cheaper than the old town. Staff were lovely.

Very nice food - Edit
The food didn't take long and the food was very nice, especially considering the low prices (compared to Germany at least). Have a wide variety of cakes, though I only tried the vegan duck and schnitzel, the second which I can definitely recommend!

Amazing Fried Vegan Cheese - Edit
I particularly found this to be the best restaurant in Prague, compared to all the others we had the opportunity to go. The staff were polite, kind and friendly, and communicated very well in English. We even went more than once because we liked it so much. We ordered the "Czech Vegan Braun" as a starter, which went very well with the "Budvar 33" beer. The main dishes were "Schnitzels with Potato Salad", "Budvar Goulash" and the tasty "Fried Vegan Cheese with Fries". The latter was the best dish, in our opinion, and very typical of the Czech Republic. A good amount for one person. Interesting place. The beer was amazing. Well worth the experience.

Great vision disappointing flavour - Edit
We ordered the red house wine and it was watery and bloody tasting. The goulash was very strong tasted too much like beer and the “dumplings” tasted like nothing just uncooked bread, i had to really dip them in the sauce. The starters were okay (olives and tofu spread) the olives arrived together with the main dish and the tofu spread was forgotten until we reminded the waitress and turns out she never even ordered it. We came to this restaurant with high expectations due to the good reviews in the app but came out with a full belly but not satisfied at all.

Vegan restaurant that offers some typical Czech dishes - Edit
Great social concept and entirely vegan restaurant pretty centrally located.
Read moreI was here twice and tried the dumplings with red cabbage and a lunch menu.
The dumplings were more like bread and kind of dry with little filling, the cabbage was good but a bit too sweet for me. Still glad I tried something different.
The daily lunch option was okay, a bowl with quinoa and vish balls that were super dry but the taste was decent.

Good bread and that's it - Edit
Maybe a chose wrong but the goulaash tasted like nothing, very little with a lot of bread. The bread was really good but without something good on the side it doesn't work. The prices were high, Not unpayably high but for that food I would rather go to almost anywhere elae.
