Their menu is small but fully vegan, with quite a bit of variety and sweet and savoury meal options. Good prices, gluten-free options, and friendly staff. I reccomend the chai latte!

In a quirky arcade area with great vibes, lots of greenery and lots of seating. Everything we had was delicious, including the hot drinks. Quite a simple menu but done well. Really happy we chose this place when driving through. Recommend!

yes the food is great and a vegan haven but we really appreciate the open area under glass - ideal for well spaced coffee and meals when it's allowed!! On a really interesting independent shops area in Exeter.....

What a find!! - Edit
I grew up in Exeter and used to hangout in this arcade as a teenager, but to come back now in middle age and find there a place that not only does cool vegan stuff but loads of gluten-free options too; the gluten free waffles are especially recommended by my gf partner, and I’m raving about their decaf flat white with oat milk; gorgeous!!

One of the nicest vegan cafes I've been to - Edit
Such good breakfast and lovely place to sit with our vegan dog 😊 would love to have somewhere like this local to me but it's a 5 hour drive! Great thrift shop next door too

Pretty Hip - Edit
It's a sweet vegan spot huddled within a trendy arcade on a hip street.
Read moreThe dogs were welcomed in and given vegan dog treats; my dog who ordinarily turns her nose up at such offerings chomped it down so their dog food is obviously of a high standard. Didn't try the human food but the menu was tempting, settled for an oat Mylk flat white which was masterfully decorated and delicious but on the smaller side. The breakfast tea was also a proper brew and given the thumbs up by an omnivore!
Pros: Trendy spot, Offer free nibbles for dogs
Cons: Small drink sizes

My friends and I went to Sacred Grounds for lunch. The atmosphere in the shop is really clean and fresh.
Read moreMy oat milk latte was good although maybe a little bit small.
To eat, I had the tofu sandwich. This is a BIG sandwich with slices of marinated tofu, thick crusty bread, lettuce and tomatoes and lots of vegan mayo. It is one of the best vegan sandwiches I have ever eaten.
My friends had the Dahl soup which they said was very nice as well.
Love that the shop runs on green energy as well!
Pros: 100% plant based menu, Good coffee and food, Nice atmosphere
Cons: Coffee was a bit small

Best brunch ever! - Edit
Me and my friends went for brunch here today while visiting Exeter and were blown away by the food and drinks. I had the smokey bean dish with sourdough which came with scrambled tofu and avocado, the dish was so flavourful and delicious I would definitely recommend it.

I haven't had a food dish that I love yet - Edit
I don't know what's going on with their food, but it's a LOVELY location, but the menu is just dry and uninspired. I hope they can get it together soon because they have a great concept and an excellent space.

Great food great location - Edit
Not a huge menu but top quality freshly made, with such lush flavours. We went the savoury waffles and the tofu on toast with a difference. Both were delicious! The best turmeric ginger latte as well.

Refreshing scandi simplicity - Edit
Sacred grounds is tucked away in a lovely peaceful arcade, which means that the outside seating area is sheltered from wind and rain, and is just a gorgeous spot. Inside has a really lovely atmosphere. They have a simple menu with some unusual finds like savoury waffles, awesome homemade soup, some cafes and awesome coffee.. what’s not to like!

The cafe itself is gorgeous, plants everywhere and had a rustic feel to the place. When I lived in Exeter it was a favourite of mine and the ever changing menu makes it a fun place to come back to time and time again. A definite 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great atmosphere and tasty breakfast! - Edit
It was really nice to find a vegan place that offers something more than the standard breakfast, without going OTT on the health aspects.
Read moreWe only managed one visit to Sacred Grounds, and we had a stack of homemade, marinated seitan, mustard, cream cheese, caramelised onions and watercress on really good bread.
The menu (which is quite small) apparently changes regularly, which I really like!
You’ll find the venue itself at the end of an arcade with independent shops, although their tables spill out into the arcade giving them plenty of space for busy days! Well worth a visit!
Pros: Delicious breakfast, Great design, Lovely service

Decent food, not great furniture - Edit
The place was fine. the chairs were super small and sounded like they were going to break. The tables were very bad designed so there is no space for the legs. They seem like tables taken from the street. The place is a bit pricey too. Fortunately, the flavour of the food was good. Except for the soup, which was too salty. The chocolate drink was very good but too expensive.
Read moreI would add that I saw nothing made of plastic, which is very good. The napkins were made of recycled paper. However, the place was not very clean and several hairy dogs walked in.

this is a small cafe and was quite crowded (a good sign, particularly as it's off the beaten track) when we visited. The food was very fresh and tasty. I had the Smørbrød II - interesting flavours, really well-balanced.

Amazing brunch spot - Edit
Great location and decor, light and open with tons of plants. Food was nice, it’s better suited to breakfast/ brunch than a standard full meal. I found it a bit expensive for what it was, especially the small size of the portions, but I enjoyed visiting and will go again. A nice addition to fully vegan spots in Exeter, and a much healthier alternative to Rabbit.
