Words can’t describe how good this food was. Everything is homemade and made from scratch and you can taste the love in the food. Couldn’t recommend this place enough and when in Rome, this place is a MUST! Make reservations cause it’s always busy. The service was excellent and quite quick in terms of food service!

Totally vegan restaurant, all home made, all delicious. Can't believe how good the food is. Such a great variety of traditional Italian food. Owners and staff are really friendly and helpful. Definitely need to book as really popular.

Rifugio Romano is a small restaurant near the Termini Station. It serves you many dishes and I suggest to try the vegan traditional dishes such as Carbonara, Cacio e Pepe and Amatriciana!

The startes, the main and the desserts are amazing. Everything tastes so good. You need a reservation here but it‘s totally worth it. The bruscetta is so good (with gorgonzola and tomato). Also the carbonara is amazing. Loved the strawberry tiramisu. 100/10

the 3D-printed plant-based steak.
Tasty appetizer, perfectly cooked pasta, and a really interesting 3D-printed plant-based meat with a soft and flavorful texture.
Highly recommended!

The place is cozy, the staff was friendly, and the food was amazing. We tried to have a bit of everything - pizza, pasta, a seitan dish, a traditional artichoke starter, vignarola - and everything was delicious. The desserts were great as well. Highly recommended.

I wish I could eat here every day! The food is superb - so many amazing choices. When I last visited Rome a few years ago, Rifugio Romano was half vegan / half traditional. They were amazing before. But since then, they’ve gone fully vegan and elevated their menu in ways that astound! You can’t go wrong here. And if you don’t know what to choose from the plethora of choices, the helpful staff will guide you.

Great atmosphere and very friendly waitress service! The food was incredible and so much choice, we tried a few of the top rated places to eat in rome and this was by far the best. We thoroughly enjoyed it so we went back the next night. Can't wait to hopefully come back one day.

We ordered Arancini balls to start, which were crunchy and delicious. Then I had the tonnarello pasta with asparagus, hazelnuts, and lemon sauce, which was unique, fresh, and flavoursome. We also had a side of green beans which was tangy and protein packed after days of pizza! The star of the show was definitely the chocolate pistachio cake, which I am still thinking about today as it was that good. All reasonably priced, tasty and served by friendly staff. 100% go if you get the chance!

This was my third time at Rifiugio Romano over 5 years and I am so sad to say the level of food has decreased! The tiramisu wasnt really a tiramisu not sure how they changed the recipe. The pistachio cake instead was 5/5!

Authentic, hidden gem, non-touristy - Edit
We finally found a place with unique authenticity and a very well crafted menu. The location is excellent, it is just 2 minutes away from Rome Termini station. There are no tourists here, only locals. Menu items were far from the usual expectations of a typical Italian restaurant and we were delighted with the variety of dishes.
