Just thank you Rifugio Romano for what you did and continue to do for the vegan cause 💚 everything was amazing! Chicory, vegan musky octopus (mushrooms), zucchini blossoms, gricia & risotto were a dream. I had the perfect dinner - I just wish my stomach was bigger to eat more!

What a cute little Italian vegan restaurant easy to book a table online and friendly staff. Atmosphere is how I imagine an authentic Italian family restaurant to feel and the food was delicious. 100% would go again and wish we are there more than once on our trip

Veganized typical roman cousine - Edit
I had pasta carbonara, very creamy but cheese taste was too strong in my opinion. Cicory was amazing. I also tried the vegan tiramisu but it was nothing special. Staff is nice. Portions are big. I recommend to reserve a table because the place is small and could be very buisy especially in the weekend.

I had to come from germany to this place to get finally the best vegan cheeses and special dishes that are not available where I live. In three days we came here four times. We specially can recommend the appetizer plates with "cheese", garlic tofu and "ham", Canneloni und the Rocher dessert.

Refugio Romano has become our absolute go-to in Rome, I lost lost count of how many times we have been back! The Pizza Boscaiola Vegan is perfection with its earthy mushroom flavors, and their calzone is crispy outside, melty and tender inside. Every dish from the bruschettone to the Paccheri Freschi all’amatriciana showcases incredible plant-based Italian cooking. This place has completely won my heart! Go vegan!😄

After being disappointed in Naples, as a first port of call myself and my meat eater husband came here. Amazing food and lovely service. Both me and the husband were bowled over by the choice and taste of all their food. Couldn’t recommend more.

The one thing I truly craved visiting Italy in general for the first time was some good pizza. Being vegan makes that very difficult in countries where its not the norm. However, I was referred to this restaurant by another local all vegan restaurant in Rome to try and I am so glad I did. The menu here has sooo many good options I'm just sad I wasn't able to try them all out. The pizza was made fresh and delicious! I ended up coming back the next day to try out their pasta and I think that was even better. It just felt good to experience some good Italian cuisine for the first time while in Itlay. My only negative is that there restaurant is a bit cramped so depending on the time of day you go, there may be a wait. Also the Bruschetta was not pleasant and was served on some very hard bread.

Fully vegan restaurant with a wide variety of Italian dishes. We had vegan carbonara and vegan meat with potatoes, absolutely delicious! Totally recommend the tiramisù for dessert.

This is place is amazing, all the dishes are superb. We couldn’t resist and had to order 3 mains between the 2 of us, so we could try them all, and they didn’t disappoint. The oriental pizza and the carbonara were delicious!
Read moreWe loved it so much, that we came back for dinner later the same day. The 3D printed steak tasted better than the real thing and the zucchini lasted was also amazing! The desserts were to die for, the cheesecake and chocolate covered dough balls were delicious!
