Great selection, great taste - Edit
We got the calzone picantino and summer Seiten salad and both were absolutely delicious. We're seriously disappointed we only discovered this place on our last day, because we definitely would have come back to try their pastas and other salads.

We had great dishes and were so hungry we didn’t take any pictures. The 3D printed soy meat though was AMAZING. Also the tiramisu! 👌

Amazing all vegan restaurant - Edit
Rifugio Romano was recommended to me by a friend before my trip to Rome, and wow—this turned out to be one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. We shared a few dishes plus a dessert, and everything was outstanding. The restaurant fills up quickly, so I definitely recommend making a reservation. A must-visit if you’re in Rome.

Everything we ate here was amazing, the arancini and suppli were the highlights for me! So great to be able to try so many classic Italian dishes as a vegan. The service was good and the restaurant was cosy and charming.

Tasty, but Doesn't Match Hype - Edit
Maybe it's because my past history with vegan Italian food spoils me (LA), but the food here didn't match the hype we saw elsewhere. My calzone was flavorful and interesting and my wife's carbonara tasty, but we had better pasta elsewhere in Italy (and even Rome).

Great vegetarian and vegan food for a reasonable price. Wide variety, creamy nut cheeses, decadent desserts. The salad was amazing. Make a reservation, the place is rather tight. Responsive service.

Really enjoyed our dinner here. They serve dinner at 6.30 pm - since we were a bit early, we tried the cheese plate and were blown away by the cheese selection! We then had the lasagna and seasonal gnocchi and were equally impressed. Would highly recommend stopping by!

We went there on our second day in Rome. We made a reservation as recommended in the reviews, and that was important. The restaurant was really busy. My boyfriend and I ordered foccacio as a starter and pasta carbonara and a pizza for the main course. The pizza was one of the best vegan pizzas I've ever eaten. Overall, there was a large selection, and you scanned the menu using a QR code. Overall, I was very satisfied and can highly recommend a visit.

One of the best vegan restaurants I’ve eaten in. Not just your average vegan burger joint, but an extensive menu with appetizers, several courses, and delicious desserts. Everything is tasty and pretty, and the people who work here are very lovely. And the ambience is originally Italian! Just go and try it yourself - you won’t regret it!

the food is really really good, especially the summer seitan salad that was DELICIOUS. the servers were so nice and polite and welcomed us without a reservation (we did wait a few minutes, nothing crazy). prices were really good as well! we had so much fun there. highly recommend.

Just thank you Rifugio Romano for what you did and continue to do for the vegan cause 💚 everything was amazing! Chicory, vegan musky octopus (mushrooms), zucchini blossoms, gricia & risotto were a dream. I had the perfect dinner - I just wish my stomach was bigger to eat more!

What a cute little Italian vegan restaurant easy to book a table online and friendly staff. Atmosphere is how I imagine an authentic Italian family restaurant to feel and the food was delicious. 100% would go again and wish we are there more than once on our trip

I had pasta carbonara, very creamy but cheese taste was too strong in my opinion. Cicory was amazing. I also tried the vegan tiramisu but it was nothing special. Staff is nice. Portions are big. I recommend to reserve a table because the place is small and could be very buisy especially in the weekend.

I had to come from germany to this place to get finally the best vegan cheeses and special dishes that are not available where I live. In three days we came here four times. We specially can recommend the appetizer plates with "cheese", garlic tofu and "ham", Canneloni und the Rocher dessert.
