Tappa fissa quando vado a Roma, il locale è comodo (vicino alla stazione centrale), il cameriere gentile e il cibo strepitoso! Supplí e altri fritti vegani, così come piatti più raffinati. Non restiamo mai delusi! Felice della svolta 100% vegan!

Lovely place with friendly atmosphere, they recently turned 100% VEG and I still cannot believe how comes I had my best carbonara pasta ever, and that was VEGAN. They have the ability of recreating the best tastes and traditional recipes of the Italian and Roman tradition, in a VEG way. Chef Davide Leo is simply a Master, passionate, highly capable and super creative. If you are in Rome and you love good food at the right price, VEG on top of it all, just do not miss the Rifugio Romano! (and try also the maritozzo dessert… argh!) ♥️ better to book in advance and pls void no-show, it is a small business and they need to count on their booked customers!

Moreover, apart from the traditional Roman dishes that are always on the menu, I was happy to see that there are always new dishes to choose from.
I live in Germany but once I back to Rome, Rifugio Romano is always an obligatory stop!

Amo questo ristorante alla follia sono andata più volte a Roma solo per loro, c’è una passione incredibile e tantissimo lavoro di ricerca dietro i loro piatti, che ti riportano nel cuore della tradizione romana. Persone gentilissime che amano quello che fanno e soprattutto tengono molto alla causa. Il mio piatto preferito è il seitan alla scacciatora 🤤

Maybe the best vegan restaurant in Rome - Edit
We visited this restaurant during the vegan-only event, so there were also some extra dishes prepared just for the occasion. Everything we ordered was very well made and, for some options, extremely similar to the non-vegan alternative. The staff is nice and the chef well prepared on vegan cooking. I don't get how some people rate this 1 star. The price is not cheap but consider that everything is homemade. Very recommended if in Rome!

A family run restaurant, this place recently went 100% vegan, and all their meals are delicious. They often "veganize" typical Roman food, which is amazing if you are vegan but don't want to miss out on Roman typical dishes!

I have missed so much some food since I went vegan but this place created a vegan version of some of my favourite specialty that are way better than the originals! The restaurant is very cozy and the staff really nice. You pay a visit to Rifugio Romano if you are in Rome.
