Let’s Put A Pin In This One

Disappointment comes in many forms, but one of the saddest has to be when it arrives in the shape of pizza. I tried my very best to get on board with this place, I ordered a decent selection from their menu, I went large every time, and even tacked on some fries for good measure. The decision to get the latter proved inspired as, somewhat ironically, they turned out to be the best thing I had; something shouldn’t be the case when ordering from a pizza parlour.
On first inspection, all seemed well. The aroma of truffle was wafting through the air as I slid open the first, adequately sized, tastefully styled box to unveil a visually very appealing pie. Even after the first bite, I still harboured hopes that this would be an excellent feast, but alas, it wasn’t be. As I continued to plough my way through the mound of dough-based products before me, I was distinctly aware that the flavours were quite muted and cheese was becoming an ever increasing, cloying issue. Even when I got to what could have been the redeeming feature, the crust, there were problems texturally. Instead of being pillowy pieces of bread-like goodness, it was quite tough, dry, and ultimately chewy in the wrong kind of way. I will say that the flavour wasn’t too bad, though this was scant consolation.
Safe to say, I won’t be looking to replicate this ordeal any time soon, I know that there is much better to be had for less of any outlay.

Lovely pizza

We ordered some vegan pizza and absolutely adored it. There was even a discount when we ordered it online. The faux meat one is delish.

Pros: Delivery , Vegan Cheese

Excellent food

Love their regular vegan options without the additions of vegan cheese/meats. Very light and healthy.

Tasty

I ordered from them twice in recent weeks, because they had a good offer online. I really liked the boxes the pinzas come in, so first impressions were good. Unlike most other pizza joints, Pinza does not use those plasticky dividers, so the entire box is recyclable. Yes, Pinza does also sell meat pinzas, but they have separate sections for vegetarians and vegans on their menu. I ordered the El Padrino, which was like a spicy version of a Margarita pizza without the cheese. I also tried the Mother Earth pinza, which is made with a potato base.
You can customize any pinza and they have lots of vegan add-ons, e.g. vegan cottage cheese, vegan meatballs, etc.
Delivery was fast and the pinzas tasted great. Overall a hit given the taste and value for money.

Pros: Good value, Great delivery, Good vegan options and add-ons

Cons: Vegan menu could be bigger
