Adorable bakery, great food! - Edit
Lovely cafe with the most beautiful looking pies and cakes. A huge improvement from every other gluten free baked treats I’ve had. They are creative in flavour, light and fluffy, unlike the typical heavy and sugary tasting v/gf baked goods. We had Belgian waffles, the pot pie, and some cupcakes to go. All were delicious. There was a large enough menu of savoury foods, I couldn’t decide what to order. Fast service even though they were busy. Very reasonable pricing. We will definitely stop by again on our way through Portland!

overall: good (: - Edit
I ordered 2 things: iced tea and ice cream.
Read moreThe iced tea was the worst iced tea ive ever had. Im sad i didn't spend 4 USD on something else as the cakes look amazing...
The ice cream on the other hand (literally) was prob the best ive ever had. Made with coconut cream and that tasty sweet waffle cone, wow. I'd go back for that.
Overall, good bakery, good experience... dont get the iced tea tho!
Pros: beautiful shop, excellent ice cream
Cons: service a bit slow, no WIFI

Too Much Goodness In One Location - Edit
Holy cats! This place is a dream come true for gluten-free vegans. What an experience to be able to order anything on the menu! And, the same can be said for non-gluten-free omnivores. The food is that good. I quickly realized that I had to set aside any thoughts of getting something healthy because it is all about comfort food here. The breakfast biscuit was done to perfection and the cake is over-the-moon good. Everything that I have ordered has been delicious. The kinda of place that you have to go at least once every trip to Portland.

Little bit of happiness - Edit
Cheery, delicious! We had breakfast here, and were happy to have a vegan breakfast sandwich unlike others we’d had. The interior is very sweet, the coffee was delicious, and they ship their baked goods as well.

Went into Petunias today not knowing what to expect and was pretty pleased with it all. Not only do they have many cakes and cupcakes but they offer breakfast and lunch which makes its a perfect spot for meet ups.

Best Bakery in Portland! - Edit
When we visit, we work all our meals around being able to eat at petunias once a day. It doesn't matter if you're vegan or not, all of their desserts are absolutely fantastic. I am not gluten-free, and I do not care about gluten free, but Petunia's is my bakery of choice. Everyone who works there is very friendly. Their portion sizes fantastic, and their flavors are deep and developed!

Tout simplement délicieux! - Edit
J’ai pris un pâté aux légumes pour le diner. Les légumes étaient frais et la pâte croustillante. J’ai pris un sandwich à la crème glacée pour mon dessert. Format copieux après un repas. Partage idéal pour 8.95$ US. Juste pour ce dessert, ça vaut le détour!

Last day of the Portland vegan food tour. The breakfast sandwich with gravy on top... yummy! Had a way too big piece of cake and it’s so good. Recommend for sure. Maybe only on weekdays. :)

bad service - Edit
I would give one star if I could. The server was so cold and unhelpful, condescending even, we ended up not ordering and just leaving. We drove from California to try this place...

Will totally satisfy (and then some) the built up sweet tooth you may have from so few bakeries having a decent vegan selection. Love the cake!!

Heaven! - Edit
What a rich Friday I have a amazing baked goods! So many options that your head will spin. Lovely ambience, great location, friendly staff. Ordered the granola with fruit, and my only criticism is they did not add bananas as listed in the menu. Will go back for sure over and over and over again.

OMG - vegan desserts! - Edit
I can usually find something to eat at most restaurants - with the exception of sweets which are usually loaded with dairy or eggs. I received a gift card for this place and I was in heaven! I went there with a friend and we had dinner and dessert - all so tasty. I will definitely be back!!

Nice spot in downtown Portland, has a really nice ambiance and the staff were really great. Pie and ice cream were great, as were the coffee drinks. Pizza was good but crust might need some tweaking.

Delicious breakfast! - Edit
The biscuits and gravy were very flavorful. My boyfriend loved his granola and we both loved the chai and regular lattes. We also tried the turtle cheesecake and it was amazing. This place is super cute and cozy. Staff was very friendly. Wish there was a location by us in New York/New Jersey!! We'll be back again to try the waffles and some cocktails!

We had no idea it was vegan! - Edit
We waited in line to ask "do you have any vegan options" and they told us "it ALL vegan." We were like a kid in a candy store. OMG. Amazing desserts that look like omni desserts and taste heavenly. The only problem was everything looked so good we had a hard time deciding. (You know how you're always limited by the number of vegan options?) This place is an awesome treat. I wish I didn't know about it. It could make me very fat... :P

Vegan GF Heavenly Bakery - Edit
Just when I think the vegan scene in Portland can't get any better, I discover Petunia's incredible bakery. Gorgeous cakes, pies, and pastries that just happen to be vegan and gluten free. These are creations that you can take home to your non vegan friends and they will be very happy!! I think my favorite offering is the Bumbleberry Pie, with several diffentbkinds of berries plus peaches. We took the pumpkin cheesecake to a Christmas gathering and it was gobbled up. The special cranberry pear pie was also fantastic. My wife, who is GF, enjoyed the first bagel that she has had in a long time. HIghly recommended!

Has potential - Edit
We went for breakfast midweek only to find that most of the breakfast items are only available on weekends. So we had a bagel which was nothing special. They burnt my coffee so it was pretty undrinkable. My husbands coffee was fine though. I did have a cupcake which was lovely. Would go back again on the weekend to try other things. If my one cupcake was anything to go by, I would definitely recommend the cakes.

We were hungry and saw that this place was near us. We both had a main meal and shared a cake. The cake piece was huge! All of it was tasty but especially the cake. They were friendly too.

The selection was amazing. The pot pie had not enough salt or herbs such as thyme. They lasagna had way too much cheese and nothing else to it. The mint brownies were super dry and not moist.

Vegan delicious - Edit
Found Petunia's booth at Saturday Portland Farmers Market at Portland State University. Talk about vegan deliciousness in baked goods! Gluten-free, too. Everything looked & sampled so good. Glad they take credit cards so I could indulge in their moist, soft, flavorful cream cheese and vanilla cream cinnamon rolls, millionaire bar, blueberry buckle coffee cake & peanut butter crispy bar. Looking forward to visiting the restaurant on my next trip to the area to sample their savory pastries.
Read moreService was friendly, knowledgeable, even in the farmers market environment surrounded by lots of non-vegan vendors. Convenient, being at the market. Affordable, though I overheard someone complain about pricing. As a vegan home cook, good ingredients don't come cheap. Add in the skill level, and the pricing is right on.
Pros: Delicious vegan baked goods, Gluten free, Friendly knowledgeable service
