This is how a vegan restaurant should be. It’s a total winner in all aspects. Previous reviews were raving about the burgers, and I have to agree. They are made of seitan but also with binding vegetables. The bun is just as good as the burger patty. They also have a sourdough bread appetizer with vegan butter, which is to die for. My girlfriend had a Benedict toast with tofu and avocado, which wad a dead ringer for Benedict sauce. Kitchen was swift and everything runs well, in a nice neighborhood which is a few steps removed from ground zero with all the Mayham and chaos of the tourists. This place is special.

'Cheeze' Burger and 'salmon' bagel for lunch - Edit
We were here for lunch on a weekday. As it was a hot Summer day, we sat on the terrace, in front of the restaurant. Unfortunately it's a very busy road, with busses and cars driving by instantly.
Read moreWe had the cheeseburger with fries (16,50), and the bagel with 'salmon' (10€). I would prefer to called it smoked tomato (as that seemed to be what it was made of). We had mixed opinions about this dish. I didn't really fancy it (didn't really resemble the taste of salmon IMO) my husband thought it was OK. The burger was nice, fries too.
Not so large portions. Ideal for a lunch.
Service was very friendly!
The interior is very nice. Spacious. Sober but stylish. Although mostly with wood chairs (not so comfy) and also some benches. Some high barstool chairs and tables in the front area.
The restaurant room is accessible. Toilets is with some steep stairs. I did not see an accessible toilet.
Pros: all vegan, interior, spacious, good food
Cons: comfort, busy road

Shared the mushroom Benedict, ceaser salad and pea/mint soup with my partner. Big portions, delicious flavours. The “bacon” was incredible.. and the hollandaise sauce was amazing.

Lovely lunch place - Edit
Went there for lunch with my partner, and had an excellent vegan "smoked salmon" bagel (would recommend). The staff were friendly, the portions were a good size, and the price was par for the course for Amsterdam (10 Euros for a good-sized bagel, plus drink). The only downside is the location -- from Jordaan the walk is about 15 minutes, or the tram 13 heads there from the centre. Overall, though, very high quality food and a very enjoyable lunch.

Really delicious food in a lovely setting. Probably the best vegan cheese I’ve ever tasted. Had the ‘steak’ which was so tasty. There’s not many places to have dinner on HappyCow so this is a great find.

We went for dinner and we loved it. Very nice restaurant and food was delicious. I recommend booking as they can be busy. We had the soup, cheeseburger, tortellini and steak. Highly recommend the tortellini but everything was delicious.

Maar weer eens geprobeerd, de salade was erg simpel, weinig ingrediënten, de pasta waren 3 stukjes in een potje olvarit baby voeding. de kaart is klein dat hoeft geen probleem te zijn maar daardoor is de keus beperkt. Het is hier altijd druk waardoor er waarschijnlijk geen noodzaak is te verbeteren, hopelijk gaat dat wel gebeuren, het kan echt zoveel beter. Prijs/kwaliteit is niet in verhouding, te duur voor wat je krijgt, jammer!

Nice variety of choices. I had the goulash, but there were only 4-5 pieces of fake meat in the dish. The rest were vegetables in a sauce. Service is friendly and quick.

lovely place... great range of food on the menu and dishes you wouldn't find everywhere. i had pulled Jack fruit which was lovely but would have liked more of it... it was bulked up with lots of sweetcorn and red cabbage. hubby had Cesar salad which was delish! great desserts too esp peanut butter brownie. the apple pie was a little dry could have done with some vegan ice cream on the side. service was a little slow but they were busy. no baby changing facilities and we had to change our baby on the floor at the back of the restaurant. i would definitely come back here!

The vegan cheeseburger was one of the better ones I’ve ever had. Chips served with ketchup and there’s also a side of vegan mayo. If youre in for burger and beer, take the Two Chefs Green bullet ipa they have in bottles. A little on the pricey side but a nice treat!

Love this. You can have dishes here you’d find in proper restaurants. They use ingredients such as cavolo nero and make veloute for example. My non-vegan friend loved it too!

Great restaurant to take someone out. Very slick design-wise. The food was good, but as it was a fancy restaurant, also over-priced. A simple risotto and tagliatelle are great, but I can also make them at home. Having an artichoke for entree is fun!

Great food, really good service - 3 of us went here for dinner on a Saturday night, we booked ahead but there were some seats available from the looks of it. We all really enjoyed our mains (we tried the MD burger, caesar salad and barbacoa bowl) and my chai latte was great. Only tiny gripe is that while they had various gluten-free main courses the only option for dessert was ice cream and they only had nutty flavours of that - more gf dessert options would be appreciated. The lady serving our table was lovely.

I called in advance to make sure they were open. So many vegan restaurants I go to are not open! So now I call in advance, talk to the nice laidy and she said they were open, told her I would b there in 20 min. When we got there we had to wait 1hr b cause she did not mention on my call if I wanted to rsvp l. Lovely food, the wait was worth it.
