Plenty of options - Edit
Even though it is highly appreciated that they have a vegan section, the francesinha I had was not good enough. The seitán tasted funny.

Fantastic vegan Francesinhas - Edit
Offered 5 different vegan francesinhas, plus some vegan pizzas, hotdogs and salads. I obvs can’t compare to a traditional francesinha but it was amazing! Extremely filling (maybe share if you don’t eat much because they come with chips as well!). The only, very slight con I have is that we had some bread and olives as a starter (not at all needed!) and they bought the mains out only a couple of minutes after bringing starters so we ended up having so much food on the table. But wonderful food!

Many vegan options - Edit
Surprisingly they have plenty of vegan options clearly marked as so on the menu. Starters, pizzas, hot-dogs, desserts, and the famous francesinha.

Mein Essen war also insgesamt in Ordnung.
Pros: Bedienung, Gute vegane Auswahl (eigene vegane Karte)
Cons: Essensqualität

Vegan options but not good - Edit
We liked that they are trying to make the Francesinha vegan and they have also multiple options for that, but the taste was not good at all. We tried the one with tofu and the one with seitan. The tofu one is slightly better.

Try a traditional dish - Edit
Francesinhas were interesting and we really liked the sauce. There are several vegan type; they are huge and filling. I give them points for having an actual vegan menu. The staff was friendly too.

Menu vegano completo - Edit
Bella la location. Personale molto cordiale.
Pros: Menu vegano , Personale cordiale, Economico

Vegan traditional Portuguese food! - Edit
My friends wanted to get Francesinhas at a very traditional restaurant that came highly recommended, so I left them and walked 4 minutes to get a vegan version. I was glad I did.
Read moreWhile they do have a traditional menu, they have a full vegan menu with multiple choices, including several versions of Francesinhas. I really wanted to try the one in puff pastry, but that one requires a 30-minute wait. So I opted for the seitan version my server recommended. I also ordered fries on the side to dip in the tasty sauce, of which there was plenty.
The mixed berries cheesecake was a perfect sized dessert after such a filling meal. Arriving in a little glass jar, it was light and fluffy. Sadly, they were out of the vegan natas I wanted to try and only had the traditional ones today.
I recommend this place for vegans who want to try some traditional Portuguese dishes. I cannot comment on the non-vegan food, but from what I saw on other tables, there is something for everyone here.

Good but could be better - Edit
The francesinhas' sauce was not really good and a bit too spicy for my taste. I'm happy that at least they make the effort to have many different proteins (tofu, seitan and tempeh). For dessert the we had the vegan chocolate mousse that for some reason has salty caramel on top (makes no sense!). So all in all if you want to have a vegan francesinha there are better places.

Vegan Francesinhas - Edit
Has a whole vegan section on the menu.
Read moreNot my favorite kind of food, but it's a nice place to try the typical francesinhas, they have 4 vegan types (tofu, tempeh, seitan and seitan with curry).
We tried the tofu, tempeh and the seitan with curry. They all taste very similar, since all the ingredients are the same except the main vegan protein (tofu, seitan..). The only one that tastes different is the curry one.

Portuguese comfort food - Edit
After sleeping off serious jet lag we landed here. The staff was very nice. The food was absolutely delicious and comforting. I ordered the Francesinha curry with fries. It was very flavorful. The closest comparison, to an American, is like an open-faced turkey sandwich with gravy, eaten with fork and knife. The vegan items on the menu were clearly marked. The Francesinha is local to Porto, so not to miss!

Fabulous local eatery with a full vegan menu - Edit
There is a full vegan menu offering 5 different types of francesinhas, the local Porto dish. I really wanted to try this dish but couldn’t as it’s heavy on the meat, so super happy to find this place. For vegetarians you can add cheese or egg.

Multiple vegan options! - Edit
This was a great spot to find multiple vegan options, especially for francesinha. We appreciated having multiple proteins and base combinations to choose from for our vegan dishes, including tofu, seitan, and tempeh. The tofu with soyrizo was tasty and very filling. The tempeh one did have raw tempeh, rather than grilled or smoked, however, and that flavor came through a bit more, despite the flavorful sauce. Next time, we would probably choose the tofu and/or seitan options for this reason. It's a really heavy and flavorful dish.
Read morePros: Multiple vegan options , Vegan menu clearly labeled
Cons: Raw tempeh made the dish a little weird, Use of wonderbread rather than quality bread

Nice one, true flavour made vegan - Edit
We went here a bit afraid of being on a tourist trap. It is turisty, theres not much charm, and we had to wait for 1,5h to get to food at the table - that being said, the vegan variety and the quality is veeeery nice comparing to other places. Juicy bread, umami filling (we ordered the seitan and the tofu one) and they were worth the wait.
Read moreVery Big and nice french fries on the side. I wont miss It for a nice and filling lunch yo try the traditional flavour and vibe of the francesinha.

A must - Edit
I went with meat eaters and a vegetarian and we got a classic francesinha and a vegan one and they were amazing. We also got the cheescake of frutos rojos and the nata do séu and they were incredible, especially the nata do séu. The staff was really friendly and they had menus in different languages. I really recommend it, we'll probably go again before leaving Oporto.

This was my first time to have Francesinhas, a traditional Portuguese dish. This vegan version had seitan, soy chorizo, vegan sausages, and vegetables inside toasted bread covered in melted vegan cheese then covered again with sauce. It was tasty and filling!
