Good sushi spot in manhatten! Everything was good, the lunch combo is a good deal honestly. We got 3 rolls, a side, and 2 desserts. tbh the sushi wasn't AMAZING but it was very good, I think I'm just a bit spoiled with vegan sushi where I live. I will say the desserts tasted a bit healthy (especially the cookie).

The food was fantastic, the decor was incredible. The menu is a little intimidating but the servers are super happy to suggest and recommend. A little on the expensive side but worth it for the vegan goodness.

Convincing my boyfriend to try this place was not the easiest, but I am so glad he agreed & so is he. He is gluten free and they were very accommodating. Everything was super yummy and fresh! We walked here from MSG to grab dinner before a concert and it was perfect. Food came out quickly and steadily. Meaning we had some food within a few minutes. Once we finished that more came out. And again once that was gone the rest came out. This flow was super nice as the tables are not that large. We shared everything and it completely satisfied my craving for sushi. This will be a spot we return to for sure. Also, they don’t serve soda but their juices are divine!!!!

Easy Vegan Sushi - Edit
Great concept - vegan sushi at reasonable prices. The steamed Ginger Beef dumplings offered a spicy ginger edge. The Rainbow roll and Spicy Jackfruit roll are beautiful to look at and tasty.
Read moreThe spicy tuna roll also presents beautifully and is delicious. Great to see Bao buns on the menu! The fried Chick’n Bao was good, swapping spice for flavor.
To top it off with the Black Sesame Avocado Cookie was a delight. The ice cream was phenomenal, the cookie was a tad bit less so, more cake like. It was still worth it.
Overall, Beyond Sushi does an excellent job at what it targets to do - it is not one of the best vegan sushi restaurants in the world (see my Honolulu Sushi review), but it offers excellent inexpensive vegan sushi.

Best vegan food I had in NYC! - Edit
Beyond Sushi was easy to find, the ambience inside was a calm and quiet respite from the busy Times Square exterior, and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the Nutty Buddy wrap and it was incredibly flavourful. I also got the the cheesecake and it was probably one of the best - if not THE best - vegan cheesecake I've had in 12 years. The staff was also great - very friendly and attentive but not overly so. Great dining experience! I wish they would put one in Denver!

Ate here were some veggies and vegans and meat eaters. The starter was spectacular. And the bao buns smashed it out the water. So delicious. My friends weren’t overwhelmed by the sushi rolls. And it was a bit expensive. But the flavours were beautiful so would heavily recommend as a treat.

Been wanting to try beyond sushi for a while now and finally got there. We ordered the fried chicken bao which was spicy but so so good. Then we shared the rainbow roll and spicy tuna roll. We preferred the spicy tuna roll but both were delicious! It was fun to get vegan “fish” options as I never tried fish or fish sushi before I went vegan. We really enjoyed everything and appreciated that they spread out guests dining in as opposed to placing them all in one section on top of each other like most other places do.

We had the Five Spice Chick’n Dumplings, the Sweet Tree and the Spicy Mango rolls. We got to sample the Glazed Impossible Meatballs and the Cauliflower Wings, and the Black sesame Avocado Cookie with matcha ice cream… wow! (There were 6 people’s orders and we were all sharing!) Also for takeaway for the train trip back home, we loved the Nutty Buddy wrap. (The buckwheat soba noodles in the Peanut Noodle Salad did not travel well. That’s okay, now we know!)
