Excellent smoothies in NYC - Edit
Juice Generation is my go-to smoothie place in NYC. Clean ingredients and a lot of variety. Love the Joyful Almond (I have them add dates). There is a counter with 4 stools. Even though I usually take it to go, more seating would be great.

Times Square branch of great juice chain - Edit
Juice Generation is always a safe bet. This branch is in the hectic Times Square area. No places to sit inside, but there are chairs and tables outdoors nearby. I got a smoothie from this place today--it satisfies, as usual.
