Dolcezza is making the change!! - Edit
It's the last day of my trip to Sicily and it is wonderful to find this cafe. It's authentically Sicilian and very popular. Delicious food and yummy ice-cream and desserts. I think I'll stay here until they close!

Is all vegan, offers some typical italian specialities in vegan (cannolo etc), you can also sit down to enjoy (the Café is air conditioned). They also offer hot dishes, ice cream and vegan cheeses.

There are so many vegan options here that I had to actually look for non-vegan stuff. Everything is clearly labelled. I had my very first cannolo here and I was very impressed! Would definitely go back.

Das essen war lecket. Der Service war nicht so gut. Der Kaffee war grauenhaft. Ich hatte nach einem großen Cappuccino gefragt und einfach ein großes Wasser Glas mit Kaffee und heißer Milch bekommen. 5,10€ habe ich dafür bezahlt. Der schlechteste und teuerste Kaffee in Italien.

Ordered a Croissant/Cornetto filled with chocolate (so much filling and a very deep chocolate flavour) as well as other pastries, which were just as delicious. My friend had one of their hearty options, and she described it as perfectly filling without it being too oily. Gelato (Pistachio and Strawberry) was also extremely good (maybe not the best wafer), the first time i ever had vegan pistachio ice cream, and it was a wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend!

If you only go out of your way for one place when in Catania, make sure it's Bar Dolcezza. Absolutely exquisite pastries, savouries, cakes, everything is sensational. The staff are wonderful too, you will wish you could go back again and again. Here's a list of our favourites:

Cipollina (to die for lunch snack filled with caramelised onions and sauce)
Treccina or cornetto con crema (anything with their pastry cream/custard is worth getting)
Setteveli al Pistacchio (a seven layered cake, pistachio or chocolate options available, you can get a full sized cake or a mini portion in a cup)
Rhum babà (special rum soaked dessert from Catania, we have taken these and the cannoli to various family gatherings and they were demolished in 2 minutes with so many comments on how light it all is)

We bought two croissants, two gelato and 2 coffees. The taste of the croissant was bland. The cream had no taste, not even sugary. The gelato was ok, had better had worse and the coffe was the same as the gelato.

Buonissima la tavola calda vegana, unica nel suo genere. La nota dolente di questo locale è la gestione. Personale spesso scortese e orari ridicoli, chiudono alle 18. Praticamente chi lavora in ufficio 9-18 può andarci solo nei weekend.

Bar located in Catania with salted and sweet Sicilian products in vegan version (and ice creams too!). I tried immediately cannolo and took away some of their delicious optain to eat at home: brioche, cipollina and biscuits. All was delicious, really soft and tasty. Highly reccomended: don’t miss this place if you are vegan!

Every time we pass Catania we make a stop here. They have so many vegan options! vegan arancini!!! which are great, and a lot of other salty options with vegan cheese. We haven't tried anything sweet yet but I'm sure you can't go wrong!
