Everything was delicious and so affordable - Edit
Great little warung with delicious and super low priced food. We wanted to eat everything! We tried the corn fritters, tempe and tofu, peanut vegetables and sensational stuffed pancake and fried bananas. Everything was insanely good and there was only one girl in the kitchen cooking all alone. The furniture is also so cute and comfy.

Affordable Local Flavours with Friendly Vibes - Edit
Wulan Vegan Warung is a charming and affordable dining spot in the centre of Ubud, offering a taste of local vegan cuisine. With its small but tasty menu, it’s perfect for those looking to enjoy a casual, home-cooked style meal.
Read moreThe dishes, while simple, are full of flavour. The Fried Bananas and Tofu Pancakes were definite highlights, offering a satisfying mix of textures and tastes. For drinks, the Aloe Vera drink stood out as a refreshing accompaniment to the meal.
The food does lean on the saltier side, so it may not suit those seeking lighter seasoning. However, the warm and friendly staff more than make up for any minor quibbles, making every diner feel at home.
For an inexpensive, authentic vegan meal with a local touch, Wulan Vegan Warung is a solid choice in Ubud. It’s a great spot to enjoy comforting dishes in a relaxed, welcoming setting.
Pros: Inexpensive local vegan food, Fried Bananas and Tofu Pancakes, Friendly staff
Cons: Menu is small, which may limit options for some, Dishes lean towards the saltier side, Limited drink variety

So nice, we ate here twice. - Edit
Really wish we had tried this place earlier in our trip so we could have gone more often, but ended up having dinner here two nights in a row before leaving Ubud. Loved the down-to-earth atmosphere, free from the pretentiousness that comes with some of the vegan eateries around Ubud.
Read moreWe tried a few items from the menu including the Exciting Noodles, Wulan 7 Veg, and the Savoury Veg Stuffed Pancakes. Everything was awesome, including the Fried Banana Goreng for dessert. One of many highlights was the Tempe & Tofu with Sauce, which had probably the best satay sauce we’ve ever had.

The food here is fantastic. We tried the Spicy hottie, Savory pancake, 7 veg, fried banana. All great! The staff super friendly. Quiet spot just off the main road.

My favourite food of the holiday - Edit
The food is healthy, delicious, cheap and ethical. We came back 3 times before we had to leave Ubud and I even get cravings now, a whole year later.

OK food & mediocre service w/ a smile - Edit
My son and I were the only clients here. It was hot and there was only one fan, which was pointed towards the kitchen. (They could benefit from adding a fan to the dining room.)
Read moreWhile friendly, the server only came to take and deliver our order. She spent most of the time in the back chatting with a as friend. She never delivered one of our dishes and when asked about it at the end of the meal, she said it wasn’t available (though she did not say so when she confirmed our order). Several other items we ordered were out of stock (and the menu is already quite limited), but she said so up front.
We enjoyed the savory pancakes, but the sweet potato fries were small and dry. The tofu tempeh dish is the one that never came.
Pros: Inexpensive, Good savory pancakes
Cons: Hot , Distracted service, Limited menu and out of stock items

Not too far from the main road, Wulan is a pretty little venue with friendly service and lovely food.
Read moreThe savoury stuffed pancakes were juicy and flavourful, just wonderful eating. And I really enjoyed the nasi goreng, not too big but enough.
The cassava chips are worth taking home for a snack.
BTW, they accept credit charge, and they don't add on extra for tax and service.
Pros: lovely venue, although small, lovely staff, really good food

Comfy, filling food - Edit
The food is tasty and filling. My favourite were the savoury stuffed pancakes. So good, I went back twice for them.
Read moreThe ultimate nasi goreng was nice with crispy fried beans and tempeh, not spicy for me at all. Wulan 7 veg was tasty. The other dishes that I had were also okay.
The fried banana goreng (dessert) was so nice. The cassava chips that they sell were a light snack.
It’s a small kitchen, so expect wait time and please be kind to the staff as they are put a lot of effort into communicating in English, but they are very attentive and dedicated to providing a great service.
Pros: All vegan comfort food, Very reasonable prices, Friendly and attentive staff

Flavor was not exceptional - Edit
I had the savory pancake and the tempeh curry. The savory pancake was 8/10, but the curry plate was just okay 6/10. The flavor was very, very bland. No spicy, no sweet, no sour, no garlic flavor. Not many spices were used. This surprised me based on the other reviews.
Read moreI feel bad, but I have to be honest on happy cow.
I did however like the location and the vibe. Very comfortable, with cozy tables facing the street.

Delicious local food in tiny restaurant - Edit
This inconspicuous, little restaurant near the main road in Ubud is worth trying out. The menu is rather small but all choices sound quite tempting.
Read moreI had the savory pancakes with a veggie and tofu filling, which I found delicious. The portion size was also pretty decent.
Only the dessert options were very limited. Even more limited than what's listed on the menu. E.g they didn't have cake and only one type of cookie instead of the five or so on the menu.
I had the cookie which was fine, but not the reason you should go here.
Pros: tasty savory dishes, friendly staff
Cons: quite small menu (especially desserts)

Tasty comfort food - Edit
I ate here twice last week and had two different dishes which one was the Tempe curry which I enjoyed. The second was a savory pancake filled with vegetables. I enjoyed both of them. It’s a small place and the staff was shy but friendly and happy. Will definitely go again.

Beautiful tiny spot on a quiet street - it was nice to escape the hustle and bustle. The food took a while but the dumplings were fantastic and I loved the tempeh tofu curry. Meals weren't huge but they were cheap. Service was very friendly.
