Deliciously vegan - Edit
We had the naughty tempeh curry and the ultimate nasi goreng (my favourite). Portion sizes were huge and food came out super quick. Love the added peanuts in both dishes and the sweet tempeh.

Bali Belly afterwards: Cold meal & very unmotivated employees - Edit
The waitress brought my meal and when I tried it it was a cold curry sauce. I told them and they did not understand my problem and gave me back my plate. Also everything was served very „unlovely“ on my plate, I can not relate to the pictures showed online :(

Delicious and cheap - Edit
Fully vegan small restaurant with few dishes and desserts on the menu. We loved our savoury pancake and a tempeh curry with rice. Only bad side is the opening hours. Twice it was closed when we went there even though google and happy cow indicated it's gonna be open. Out of that, I recommend it!

One of the best vegan warungs in Ubud!
Read moreDuring my stay in Ubud i visited the Wulan Warung everyday for breakfast. They have a variety of healthy and very tasty all vegan options for every time of the day! My absolute favorites were their vegan banana pancakes and their savory stuffed pancakes. This is also the perfect place to make new connections, so if you love beautiful conversations with like minded people this is a great place to be! 100% recvomend!!
Thank you !
Pros: 100% vegan

What happened to Wulan? - Edit
Went there twice. 1st time last summer and it was one of our best restaurant during all our roadtrip in Asia (11 months). We came back some days ago, we were so excited. What a disappointment!!
Read moreIf the 2 pancakes were rather good, the spicy-Hottie Veg Tempe was tasteless. We didn't find the amazing flavors of the 1st time.

I expected a little more effort and a well bigger portion for the price. Nothing special here. Can confirm the unmotivated waitress.

Pros: The selfmade cookies are yummy

If you crave something with cacao get the pancakes, they are very tasty and sweet. But there are just 2. I think 3 would be more filling :D

Not pricey and totally worth it! - Edit
It's a small cozy place with mattresses to lay down on and regular chairs and tables as well. The menu is not that huge but every position is delicious!

Thanks for noticing everything we put into making the warung a great choice for travelers and locals to get some delicious vegan food. We have added some extra floor space so that the place is a little roomier and we have purchased a new floor cushion if you're looking to hang out and relax between yoga classes or tours. Have a great trip and hope to see you soon. Love W.

Good food - Edit
Overall, good food but some portions could be bigger😄

Hi ArturasK. I appreciate that you came by for some food. It's hard to tell if your post was sarcastic or not because of the smiley face. We pride ourselves on feeding hungry vegans at affordable prices. The picture of the soup looks pretty much up to standard. It's a full bowl of vegetables, corn noodles, rendang soy protein for 2 Euros/Dollars... Of course, it's a soup, so you might need to order a dessert or appetizer alongside of it. As for the Veg Stuffed Savory pancakes, I find it really hard to believe anyone is still hungry after eating not one, but two pancakes stuffed with pumpkin, protein, and vegetables. In any case, I heard you loud and clear and increased all our portion sizes just to make sure no one leaves hungry. Thanks for coming and hope you come again and update the review. :)

Nice little vegan warung - Edit
Had the wulan 7-veg for lunch which was filling .
Read moreThe tropical smoothie of the day was good . Ask for no sugar if you don’t like sweet .
Pros: 100% vegan , Has Indonesian and western dishes
Cons: At 12 noon some of the menu items were finished

Thanks for finding us and noticing our smoothies. We make them as thick as possible and only add just a little filtered water so that they will blend. Really, you're getting about 300 grams of fruit which is why they're delicious even without sugar. We're sorry if we ran out of some menu items. We rely on local vegetable farmers/merchants and occasionally they are busy with Balinese spiritual activities in the morning and cannot deliver first thing in the morning. Usually by later in the day, we are fully stocked and ready to serve all our vegan dishes. Thanks again for coming. :)

Great food - Great Prices - Edit
I ate the food from here twice - once delivered from GoJek and once in the restaurant. From GoJek I was underwhelmed and the food wasn’t good.
Read moreHowever, I went into the store and got the Tempeh curry and it was BOMB. Super yummy! Price was 45K for a good size (but not huge) plate of food and then I got an extra slice of tempeh for 3k. If you want to be full, ask for the curry and an extra 5 marinated Tempeh slices or something. That being said, for the price you can also go to a buffet for about the same, but the Tempeh curry from here really was delicious.
The restaurant is small and homey and some seats are on the floor with very comfortable cushions. Overall a really great experience that’s got the perfect vegan warung vibe 🌱
No WiFi as far as I can tell. Prices range for mains ~30-47k. Desserts are 10-25k. Drinks ~15k
Pros: Tempeh curry was amazing , Good prices
Cons: Next to the road so a little noisy, No WiFi

Thanks for your kind review. We have moved to a new location that is much quieter and more convenient for those walking from Ubud center. Hope to see you again soon!

Cute place with motivated staff - Edit
The Wulan place is really cute, and the guys working there do it very well. There are some rarities like pancakes, the other things we tried were solid but also pretty common and for this (here goes the 5th star) to pricey compared to other places. Going here is nevertheless a good choice!

Glad to hear you tried a bunch of our dishes. A few of the other vegan places around town don't have to pay rent and we like to give our staff extra perks like free meals and healthcare coverage. Also, there are some hidden costs like high-quality, fresh cooking oil that we could but don't skimp on. Does this mean our food may be a few cents more expensive...yeah...but we hope it's worth it from a karma and quality perspective.

Disappointing - Edit
Maybe I was too spoiled by the vegan food we had in other places in Seminyak, but I do not believe that this is the best vegan food that Ubud offers like other reviews say.

I'm not sure about this one - Edit
I think I must've ordered the wrong thing
Read moreI got the ‘Spicy-Hottie Vege Tempe’
I was disappointed that there wasn't much tempeh at all, and mostly just a plate of veg with rice. They surely delivered on the spicy part though.
The food is not particularly hot either (temperature-wise), so the cost is towards better service and ambience than a very local warung.
Perhaps the sweets would make this more of a destination, I have yet to try those.

Solid vegan food - Edit
We had the sweet potato fries, tomato soup and nasi goreng. The nasi goreng was advertised as the best vegan on the island. It was very good, but we had a better one in singaraja. The sweet potato fries could have used a few more minutes in the fryer. The soup had an interesting twist with lemongras and some other vegetables in it.
