simple&delicious

After we had found this Warung we eat at least one meal a day there. So delicious! The Nasi goreng is magic and I also loved the Special 7 Items Nasi Campur! (Changes a bit every day!)
Beautiful relaxed place to eat at, too.

Winner!

How lovely to find an authentic, local cheap, fully vegan restaurant in the centre of Ubud. Truly wonderful place and food too. Nothing pretentious just real, local, tasty food. Nice people. Small, cozy establishment with the food cooked in front of you. A must-visit for Ubud.

Pros: All vegan , Cheap, Cute and cozy

Cons: None!

Basic main meals

We ordered 2 different main rice meals. they looked almost the same and with slightly different sauce and maybe a different veg or 2. The vegan pancakes were super gluey. the food overall wasn't bad. I just found it annoying that her little dog was inside this little cage barking the whole time. Not what a vegan wants to see or hear. Very irritating.

Amazing food made with consciousness

Wherever you are in Bali it's worth the trip to visit Wulan and her petit warung. Wulan makes all the food herself from zero right in front of you. Try the 7 veggie platter or the amazing Gado-Gado. Food cooked from the heart!

Lovely little Vegan Warung

Wulan is lovely and the passion she puts into her food is only to be admired. The 'exciting noodles' is my favourite which is a rice noodle and veggie soup with various types of mock meats. So delicious, especially when paired with rice to dip in the soup. Also tried the tempeh curry which was okay, definitely better ones elsewhere, the soup is a real winner though.

ps: The owner is lovely

Pros: vegan and tasty

Cons: just a suggestion : should add some raw food

Indonesian vegan flavors

Lots of places in Ubud, Bali are using the words vegan and vegetarian prominently (and misleadingly hiding the fact they are selling tons of meat products too) so I was cautious but it turns out the place is actually vegan. Twice had lunch here and a breakfast. The food is healthy with Bali touch. And inexpensive.

Today had a lunch with 7 veggies - rice with items like bitter melon, greens (2 varieties), pakoda/tempura, crunchy snack, veggie paste steamed in leaves. Mostly lightly cooked and spiced. All very tasty. Portions are small and will not overstuff you. 30k (less than USD 2.5).

Had ginger lemon soda (2nd time). Fresh ginger, fresh lemon, added to soda created a very refreshing drink. 15k.

The kitchen is small and has only one cook and set menu items are prepared ahead and in small quantities. Should expect some wait time if ordering other items from the menu. Alcoholic drinks can be brought in (from the store on the other side of the road.)

A great option for those who like simple, tasty vegan meals.

Pros: vegan, almost no mock meats, good variety of food

Cons: small kitchen
