Excellent food and service - Edit
Visiting Stockholm. Had the veggie balls and soup of the day (sweet potato). My SO had the BBQ bowl and the soup too. Everything was awesome as was the service. Eating outside was nice with good people watching. Would definitely recommend and will go back again if we can

Vegan, delicious and very nice service - Edit
Everything was vegan, we had vegoballs (like Köttbollar) and the burger, plus mixed salad, very tasty. Free water as usual, even served in a glass

Do Not Skip Verte! - Edit
My wife and I were in Stockholm for a couple days on either side of nine days in Visby, Gotland and went to Verte.
Read moreWhat a treat with the lasagna which was a special and the veg balls.
The lasagna was perfect and was in a light creamy tomato sauce which complimented the soft layers of pasta.
Unless you’re familiar with real Swedish veggie balls, the only reference in the states is IKEA!
Wow, these were amazing and the real thing with homemade balls, a light gravy, and perfect mashed potatoes. We topped off our meal with the cheesecake which was delicious.
Mom and dad are in the kitchen and their son works the front of house.
Everything on the menu looked great so if you are in town, do not miss Verte!
Pros: Authentic tastes. , Hip ambience. , Super friendly folks.,

Great restaurant in Gamla Stan - Edit
It was my second time here but I am writing the review now. This restaurant is located in Gamla Stan near the central station, maybe 15 min walking. I had the vegoballs and a glass of malbec. The vegoballs came with a sauce, mash potatoes and lingonberry sauce. Everything was great.

Great vegan meatballs! - Edit
I highly recommend the meatballs, they were really tasty and filling (and tasted like they are traditionally supposed to!). They were also gluten-free, like several other dishes. I also tried the bbq “chicken” salad which was okay but not as impressive.

Good food - Edit
The food was very nice here- we enjoyed it and it was good to be able to have vegan version of Swedish meatballs. Would recommend if you want to try that. There wasn’t really any kind of atmosphere though which is why I haven’t given it five stars.

Not great meal - Edit
Not sure if I was just unlucky, as other people’s meals looked decent, but my salad bowl was really underwhelming—especially for the price. It came with no proper dressing, just a single blob of mayo. The chickpeas tasted straight out of a can, and the “warm protein” had that bland, microwaved, almost-boiled texture. Nothing felt fresh or thoughtfully put together. The service was also pretty indifferent—not rude, but not exactly welcoming either.

I Googled best vegan Swedish meatballs in Stockholm and they were! - Edit
I’ve never had Swedish meatballs and tbh did not know what they were. But when I’m Stockholm…they were very tasty! Staff was very friendly.

okay food, service not so much - Edit
the place is nice
Read morethe food is okay, nothing amazing. we had a salad, swedish meatballs and the potato with curry.
the salad was good ; swedish meatballs were kinda small and a bit blend ; i didn’t like the potato with curry, there was so much thick yellow curry cream it stayed on the stomach.
the service was kinda bad, the waitress is not nice : we were there on the evening and playing cards whilst finishing eating and she came to take the plates. we said we weren’t finished yet and she said that they were closing, to which we asked if they didn’t close at 10pm like it says here (if so, we still had 20 minutes). she said yes, but then said that we’d better finish eating instead of playing and then angrily began to move the chairs on the table next to us.

Family-owned and Fabulous - Edit
Delightful restaurant with amazing food in Old Town. We wanted Swedish food in Sweden and Verte delivered! The Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes, and lingonberries were amazing, the sauce flavorful, mashed potatoes perfect and the meatballs: wow! Great taste and texture. The dumplings with sauerkraut and mushrooms were excellent too. Highly recommend this restaurant! Family owned, and everything made at the restaurant. Can’t ask for a better dining experience.

Nice food, - Edit
The food was good, nothing exceptional though. The bank system was down during our visit so the staff had a lot to deal with but handled the situation well. The meatballs were good, the bowl was fine but the flavours didn't really go together.

Really Overpriced... - Edit
240 sek for four small meatballs with mashed potatoes?
Read moreI wanted to try and see for myself where all the good reviews come from. Unfortunately, I haven't found out. The meatballs were just fine, nothing special. The sauce was pretty tasty, but the meatballs themselves were a bit too hard.
The menu is pretty small and not very interesting beside that. Even for Stockholm the prices are just too much, probably because of location. 180 for a daily soup, 200 for a salad.
I don't know. Maybe I'm missing something but I'm not really willing to give it another shot..
