Best place for vegan Swedish meatballs - Edit
We were recommended this place by a friend and were not disappointed. Although it was a bit pricey, it was worth it for how delicious the meatballs were. The salad was really good too but the main event were those meatballs

Buone le polpette - Edit
Il locale è un po’ datato e il prezzo per un piatto è piuttosto alto, però le polpette svedesi con purè e mirtilli erano davvero buonissime!

Nice Place, great food - Edit
A very nice restaurant: You can sit outside in a small and quiet street right at the beginning of the old town. You’ll find a wide variety of dishes. I tried two Swedish classics and wasn’t disappointed: An „open sandwich” as a starter followed by vegan meatballs with smashed potatoes. Great!

I wanted EVERYTHING ON THE MENU! What a selection. I went with the BBQ bowl which was unbelievable and so nutritious. Lovely place and a lot of care and effort goes into the food. So much love for this little place 🌱

Good burger - Edit
Verte is a quiet place with soft music, ideal to enter after a day in the busy Stockholm. I tried the verte burger. This was a very good burger where the ingredients go well together. The fries were also crispy.

amazing food! - Edit
A purely vegan restaurant in the middle of the city center! Lots of vegan options, looks traditional. I tried the ‘Green Pea Bowl’ and my partner the ‘Vegoburger’. The food came quickly and both dishes were excellent. We would love to come back.

Incredible food and service GF + Vegan - Edit
Wow! I finally enjoyed a Swedish dish that was both gluten free and vegan, the meatballs and mashed potatoes with gravy! I also had delicious soup. Staff were kind and helpful with my oil sensitivity as well.

Absolutely delicious! - Edit
I visited this restaurant last week during my trip to Stockholm with my husband. I ordered the traditional Swedish vegan balls and my husband chose to try the pasta dish of the day (lasagne). We loved the food! The vegan balls were the best I've tried to date. I enjoyed the food so much that I ended up returning the following day! The waiter was also very attentive. I can't recommend this place enough!

nothing special - Edit
the famous meatballs had a quite gummy texture for me. the mashed potatoes and gravy were amazing, but i expected the meatballs to be better.
Read morethe dessert was tasting very artificial.
i wouldn't go back, as the menu is small/pricey, and the service/vibe also wasn't my style

Visiting Stockholm. Had the veggie balls and soup of the day (sweet potato). My SO had the BBQ bowl and the soup too. Everything was awesome as was the service. Eating outside was nice with good people watching. Would definitely recommend and will go back again if we can

Do Not Skip Verte! - Edit
My wife and I were in Stockholm for a couple days on either side of nine days in Visby, Gotland and went to Verte.
Read moreWhat a treat with the lasagna which was a special and the veg balls.
The lasagna was perfect and was in a light creamy tomato sauce which complimented the soft layers of pasta.
Unless you’re familiar with real Swedish veggie balls, the only reference in the states is IKEA!
Wow, these were amazing and the real thing with homemade balls, a light gravy, and perfect mashed potatoes. We topped off our meal with the cheesecake which was delicious.
Mom and dad are in the kitchen and their son works the front of house.
Everything on the menu looked great so if you are in town, do not miss Verte!
Pros: Authentic tastes. , Hip ambience. , Super friendly folks.,

Great restaurant in Gamla Stan - Edit
It was my second time here but I am writing the review now. This restaurant is located in Gamla Stan near the central station, maybe 15 min walking. I had the vegoballs and a glass of malbec. The vegoballs came with a sauce, mash potatoes and lingonberry sauce. Everything was great.

Great vegan meatballs! - Edit
I highly recommend the meatballs, they were really tasty and filling (and tasted like they are traditionally supposed to!). They were also gluten-free, like several other dishes. I also tried the bbq “chicken” salad which was okay but not as impressive.

Good food - Edit
The food was very nice here- we enjoyed it and it was good to be able to have vegan version of Swedish meatballs. Would recommend if you want to try that. There wasn’t really any kind of atmosphere though which is why I haven’t given it five stars.

Not great meal - Edit
Not sure if I was just unlucky, as other people’s meals looked decent, but my salad bowl was really underwhelming—especially for the price. It came with no proper dressing, just a single blob of mayo. The chickpeas tasted straight out of a can, and the “warm protein” had that bland, microwaved, almost-boiled texture. Nothing felt fresh or thoughtfully put together. The service was also pretty indifferent—not rude, but not exactly welcoming either.
